We don’t have many toys at our house, but of the few we do have, most are Melissa & Doug. We love the high-quality and durability of these toys.

I’m not sure if it’s part of the sale (I haven’t looked yet) but Melissa and Dug mak some classic dolhouse furniture.
And I have that cutting set that you pictured, and we love that!
Can’t find any that are 70% off…could they have already changed the price??
I manage a gift shop that sells Melissa and Doug toys. I noticed that what amazon has listed at retail price is WAY higher than manufacturers suggested retail price! No wonder they can afford to “mark down” so much!
I like to take the 50% off coupon at Michael’s Arts and Crafts store to purchase Melissa and Doug toys. The coupon comes out frequently both in the local newspaper and online. Usually it’s for one day only. I have found that the price of the Melissa and Doug sets are lower with the coupon than the Amazon deal that is currently going on.
I totally agree with Dana, and would like to warn other readers to take a minute to research the regular price of the Melissa & Doug products on other websites because some of the ‘regular’ prices listed on Amazon are totally bogus. For example, I know for a fact that diapers.com has the Melissa & Doug Drawing Pad for $3.49 all the time because we’ve bought several over the years. However, Amazon has the drawing pad’s ‘regular’ price listed as $14.89 and its ‘sale’ price listed as $3.61–still more expensive than diapers.com’s ‘regular’ price.
Thanks for the tip about Michael’s. I didn’t even know they carried Melissa & Doug sets. I am going to check that out.
Most of the stuff that’s left is only 70% off if you don’t select the super saver shipping option. The super saver stuff is like 30-50% off I think.
There is mostly drawing/doodle pads and a few craft kits, some girly doll type toys and puzzles, and baby rattle. None of their larger items that we are used to seeing advertised.
we have been able to catch some great deals on some melissa and doug items at carters when they are on sale, plus the 20% coupon, plus the cash back when you buy over $20. Had similar luck at kohls as well – find a sale/clearance item, plus the 30% off coupon they mail out, sometimes you get lucky and they are doing kohls cash on top of that.
