$1/1 Clean & Clear = free travel-size at Walmart and Target

I got 3 of these (using three coupons) this morning at my local target and they gave me a really hard time with the coupons since there was overage. I even pulled up their coupon policy from target.com (on my phone) to show them it was within their policy to adjust the amount of the coupon down to the price of the item (.$97). I spoke to the cashier and two managers who all said the same thing – that I was wrong. I even had a cashier tell me that what the website says is not applicable to the store. Needless to say I was pretty angry. I called corporate to complain about the incident (and store manager) and they told me I was indeed right and this is totally acceptable according to target coupon policy. Has anyone else had problems with this?

Also, just a heads up that in next week’s smartsource, there is $2/2 shout coupon (any size). I was also using three of these on the shout to-go wipes @ $.97 each – making them all free
