Peggy June 13, 2010 at 7:37 am

Is there a site on the internet to find a listing of coupons in your specific area’s newspaper inserts. I find that I never get the high value coupons and am wondering if it is regional or something else. Thanks.

Bethany June 13, 2010 at 8:07 am

Heads up that the Nivea BOGO specifies that it’s for women’s only.

LoveToShop June 13, 2010 at 9:29 am

A friend told me that Lip moisturizer also works for Neutrogina deal at WG. Will report this afternoon if it works.
Thanks

christy June 13, 2010 at 9:31 am

Has anyone noticed that Walgreens has only 2 bars of the clear neutrogena soap in stock in every store? Weird, huh!

wifeeonline June 14, 2010 at 12:01 am

@christy, I have found this happens when 3 of something is needed for the deal. No one wants just 2 when they need 3.

Adriane June 14, 2010 at 3:04 pm

@christy, There were none at my store. The cashier was telling me about different deals I could use coupons on, and mentioned the Neutrogena deal. I told her I had the coupons ready, but was waiting for the bar soap to be restocked. She said that they won’t get any more until the sale ends because they’re ringing up so cheap but still giving the RR.

Melissa June 13, 2010 at 10:23 am

My Walgreens won’t do the $2 off of the 2 Reach toothbrushes. Grr!

melody June 13, 2010 at 10:28 am

My walgreens cashier this morning informed me that the nivea body wash is also buy 1 get 1 free!!! I don’t know if this was a glitch but it worked for me in az, the manager told me to stock up while I could :) So I paid $3(used $3 off mens nivea coupon), got 2 body washes and got a $6 register reward…SUCCESS! :) hope it works for you guys too!

melody June 13, 2010 at 12:43 pm

@melody, Hey guys! I posted this on another website too and someone else posted that it only worked on one of the nivea body washes (I think the nonsporty one), hope that saves some people some frustration!

sandi June 13, 2010 at 11:11 am

i tried to purchase the all detergent this morning and i couldn’t find any all detergent that matched the coupons i had- did anyone else have this problem?

Jessica-MomForHim June 13, 2010 at 1:20 pm

It worked for me, too, but only on the blue bottles, not the orange sport version.

Stasia June 13, 2010 at 4:33 pm

@Jessica-MomForHim,

It worked in KY!

JenK June 13, 2010 at 6:11 pm

Another deal I’m planning to get: $3 off Listerine w/ in-ad coupon. Stack with $1/1 coupon here: http://www.listerine.com/special-offers.jsp. I did this last month and was able to get 3 bottles for $1.79 each.

Sherri June 13, 2010 at 8:26 pm

My Walgreens is limiting the number of Neutrogena facial cleansing bars to 2 per customer. But they still have face wash for about $4.25, so it’s still a great deal if you get 2 bars plus a facial wash. Profit!

Kim June 13, 2010 at 10:59 pm

You know how you have to have as many items as you have coupons, does anyone know if the new “clipless coupons” count as an actual coupon? So if I have five items and five actual coupons and one clipless coupons, will that deal work?

Kim June 14, 2010 at 2:26 pm

@Kim, Just in case anyone else was wondering about this, I answered my own question. YES, the clipless coupons also count as a coupon.

yesenia June 14, 2010 at 1:12 am

my walgreens said the $3 listerine coupon is really $1 off 1 and $3 if you buy 3. the manager would not give me $3 off of 1 product. He said he would not sell the item for .79 even though I had the $3 off and it was on clearance for $3.79. Has anyone had this problem? The item type and size matched the coupon but he refused to give it to me the $3 off. Any suggestions?

Kim June 14, 2010 at 3:27 pm

@yesenia, The Walgreens in our area has gone to “clipless” coupons. It’s the same in-ad coupon, but you swipe your Walgreens card (this is new to some areas) instead of cutting the coupon, and it automatically takes off the coupon. I just bought three items, and it took off $3 per item, so your Wags manager is mistaken. :(

angela June 14, 2010 at 4:55 am

My Walgreens will no longer accept internet printed coupons! They have enforced it the last two weeks and the cashiers didn’t know how long the ban would last. No more Walgreens for me!

Adriane June 14, 2010 at 3:08 pm

@angela, I tried to use two $1/1 Reach coupons and two $1/1 Oscar Mayer coupons (all IP), and the cashier told me that they have changed their policy to only accept 1 of each IP coupon per transaction since the numbers on the coupon are the same. She offered to let me do a 2nd transaction, but said that the manufacturer won’t pay them if they use 2 with the same bar code on the same receipt. I know this is false, since the manufacturers don’t even look through the receipts, and even newspaper coupons have the same bar code on each copy. She was nice about it, but this still bugs me. Has anyone else been given this story?

susie June 19, 2010 at 7:05 pm

@angela, I was informed today that RR’s will no longer print if you use a manufacturer’s coupon on that item. I tried to do the Gillette Razor deal to get $5 in RR and I used a $2 coupon and my RR’s didn’t print. The manager said they were changing the policy so that customers couldn’t “double dip”. I had them refund my money and I did the deal at CVS. Disappointing. :(

Shannon June 14, 2010 at 7:38 am

I didn’t get the $5 Schick Q and it’s really bothering me! I just moved from Texas to Nebraska and I bet if I were still in TX I would have gotten it :)

Lisa June 14, 2010 at 9:21 am

This may have been in all the other ads, but I just noticed in this week’s ad on all of the Register Reward deals there is a note that says, ” Limit 1 coupon per printed offer.” That sounds like WG is trying to prevent the free or free + overage deals. Has anyone had problems giving more than one coupon for one deal?

Breann June 15, 2010 at 6:07 pm

@Lisa, I went to two walgreens this week and attempted to use a previous RR and a the $4.00/2 Nivea coupon and the RR wouldn’t print in both stores. The cashiers said that you can’t use coupons or previous RR to get the RR anymore. So I think I will start doing double the deals at CVS with hubbies card.

Cassi June 15, 2010 at 7:23 pm

I bought four of the Reach Multi-Action or Massage Toothbrushes and used two of the BOGO coups and 2 of the $1 printables. I also used the $3 in ad coupon and even though it said “limit 3″ it took the $3 OFF FOR ALL 4! I actually had to take one of my BOGO coupons back because my order wasn’t enough to take the $4.79 off. (Looking back I wish I had gotten a few more items to make up the $4.79!!)

Melissa June 16, 2010 at 9:47 pm

I tried to do the Nivea men’s body wash deal. As soon as I handed the $3 off coupon to the cashier she haughtily informed me that the Register Rewards would not print out if I used a coupon. I told her I’d never had that problem before and she basically gave me a dirty look and said she’d tried it for someone earlier today and that the Register Rewards do NOT print when you use a coupon for a “free” item. I then told her to forget it and just bought the other item I was there for. Has anyone else had this problem? I am relatively new at the “drugstore game” and keep running in to issues like this. Someone needs to write a book about all the rules and regulations on how to make these deals work! I was very disappointed at not getting the deal and want to be sure I do it “right” next time. Thanks.
