Vision Forum: Over 200 products up to 65% off + additional 10% off!

by Crystal on June 23, 2010

Vision Forum — one of our family’s favorite websites — is having a sale on over 200 products. Some of our most-loved resources are 50 to 65% off! Plus, they are offering an additional 10% off code for my readers only. Use coupon code moneysaving at checkout to get 10% more off your order.

While they are calling it a “Homeschool Resource Blowout Sale“, almost all of the products are excellent for any family — whether you are homeschooling or not.

Here are a few products I’d especially highly recommend:

Teach Them To Your Children — This is a great book to read to your youngsters. It goes through the alphabet and gives a verse and short related character-building story. We used this to build a preschool homeschooling “curriculum” from when Kathrynne was three years old. It’s currently 60% off for only $6.80. Plus, use coupon code moneysaving to get another 10% off!

The Adventures of Missionary Heroism — Our family read this aloud in the evenings a few years back and loved it. Even our young children found it interesting. Highly recommended! It’s currently 60% off for only $9.60. Plus, use coupon code moneysaving to get another 10% off!

Missionary Patriarch: The True Story of John G. Paton — My mom read this aloud to us growing and it was one of my very favorite books of the hundreds she read aloud to us. Such an inspiring and fascinating story of a man who gave up everything for the call God had placed upon his life. It’s currently 60% off for only $9.60. Plus, use coupon code moneysaving to get another 10% off!

Those are just three of my favorites, but there are so many more items I could mention! We have many of the Vision Forum products and have never been disappointed. Check out all the sale items available here.

Prices are good through midnight on June 29, 2010 (CDT) or while supplies last.

I would highly recommend the Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary. It is really good for looking up Bible words as it had Bible references right in it. We love this dictionary.

@Deb, We do too! Our kids are all grown now, after 23 years of homeschooling, but my hubby used to have the 1828 in his lap at the dinner table and he would tell us words no longer in use and the kids would use those words within the family. We ended up with a vocabulary all our own and those words where so funny. Now their spouses need to learn them as they don’t always know what we are talking about. It is a bond amoung our children even though it can be months at a time between them all being together. Ah for the days of our ‘dictionary dinners’!

I’ll be back to OAMC in August — we should be all moved and settled into our new home then. :)

And yikes on the shipping! That’s really odd that it was so high. I wonder if that was a mistake? You might call and ask perhaps?

I too was going to order a book but shipping is $12. That is way too much. Let us know if there is a free shipping code or a cheap way for shipping. Thanks so much. Love your site. So very helpful.

I’ve contacted them about whether this is a glitch in the system or something because that surely can’t be right! I’ll let you know what I find out!

What else did you use for your 3 year old homeschool “curriculum”? My daughter just turned 3 and already knows her letters/sounds, so I’m trying to put together some kind of “curriculum” for her. I’d love any suggestions! Thanks for sharing!

I have a series coming up in July with our Fifteen Favorite Preschool Resources and I’ll cover everything we used this past year when my girls were 2 and 4. Stay tuned!

I was so excited about Teach Them…, but shipping would be $8.72 for me. I would love to get it, but I just can’t pay shipping that is more than book.

I can’t wait to read your preschool resources post. My son went to a preschool at three, but my daughter is in a home daycare. I’m trying to gather some resources to pass on our sitter for my daugther and her daughter.

I called the company. I was ordering the 3 books listed above. Shipping was coming to $11.48, and I live in TX. He said that was correst (866#). So, I told him that people were reporting just getting the children’s book, above, and paying over $11 S/H. He said that couldn’t be right. So, I changed my order, while on the phone. The children’s book was costing me $11.11 s/h. He couldn’t believe it. I was very polite to him, but I told him that cost seemed high and was causing me to not want to purchase anything. I let him know others were deciding not to purchase due to the s/h cost. I also told him that I would almost rather pay a few dollars more and know my shipping was FREE, than to have to put all my information in before finding out the fee. You don’t want to waste you time on any site. He was very nice, but I am still not sure I will be ordering anything. If the additional % off offered to moneysavingmom readers was higher, it would off-set the s/h charges.

Thank you *so much* for posting this sale Crystal! I love that you include Christian and homeschooling sales on your site. That is one feature I cannot get anywhere else. I’m looking forward to reading the missionary accounts to my little ones, as we prepare to become missionaries ourselves.
