If this is like the one from last time, i personally didnt really care for the style for $2.99. It took me forever to put the book together and i didnt realize that it was pretty much like just a folded and stapled book. The cover is made of cardstock. The picture quality was decent but just not big on presentation as far as a gift. I was able to get a hardback one for $8.99 one time and it was a much better value in my opinion as it took a long time to design it and wanted my money’s worth. Probably a better goodie for fathers day than it was for mothers day…if you have time to meticulously design it :) .

I love the Shutterfly photo books. I like to make memory books for my kids and will use this to make a book about my daughter’s year in Kindergarten. Once you’ve made a book, it gets easier. It’s a little tedious at first until you get the hang of the layout but after that, it’s not hard at all. Thanks for letting us know about this.

Do you know if you can claim the coupon and then make the book a different day?

Julia June 2, 2010 at 1:11 pm

@Jessica, Yes, Jessica! Click on the “redeem” link and once you log in to Shutterfly, you’ll have the option to add the code (which then becomes a credit) to your account. Much nicer – I’ve got till 6/30 to make and order the book and redeem the coupon! =)
