Spring Hill Nurseries is once again offering $20 off a purchase of $20 or more. Just use coupon code 414217 at checkout to get the discount. This coupon works on liquidation items, as well as regularly-priced items.

Shipping is not included in the discount and starts at $7.95. However, you should still be able to get a pretty good deal with the $20 off coupon code.

Thanks, Christian Clippers!

Sorry this is OT, but did anyone else get a cancellation on their Marcel TP order?? Said it was OOS? I was bummed!

Sakura May 25, 2010 at 11:18 am

@Lisa, I received one too. Bummed!

Michelle K May 25, 2010 at 8:57 am

When does the SpringHill offer expire? We really do need some plants but I don’t want to be hasty even if it will be free plus shipping.

Jessica Coblentz May 25, 2010 at 9:28 am

Any idea how long this code will be good for?

jessica May 25, 2010 at 9:37 am

To use this code, shipping becomes 12.95 not 7.95 or 9.95 just and fyi, but code works on less than 20.00

Crystal Brothers May 25, 2010 at 7:19 pm

@jessica, I was just going to post the same thing. Also, we had nothing but problems with this. I ordered my plants the first time around for this deal, on April 21st and they weren’t shipped until May 20th, a month later. I called several times because I was originally given a receive date of the first of May, and it kept getting pushed back. There were some other things too, but it wasn’t really worth it.

Kristin May 27, 2010 at 1:51 pm

My shipping jumped from $7.95 to $12.95, too; and I have always experienced aggravation with trying to use Spring Hill codes in the past. I bought a blueberry bush with a code two years ago; the website doesn’t bother to tell you that you need at least two plants for it to pollinate, and they ended up over-charging me. I don’t want to pay $12.95 for another “free” plant!

Crystal Brothers May 27, 2010 at 1:58 pm

@Kristin, Same exact thing here! I actually ended up making a larger order–I added on some strawberries, blackberries and blueberry that we were interested in buying anyway, and I totally wish I hadn’t given them my business because everything has been a huge headache. We also only bought one blueberry tree because there was no info on the website stating you’d need 2. I think they should include that info as well because now we have a blueberry plant that will be no benefit to us at all :(

Celina May 25, 2010 at 9:47 am

just used this code and as commenter above stated shipping goes from $7.95 to $12.95. additionally, i put a $19.99 item in my cart and when i entered my code it reduced the price to $10 for the item. i then added another $19.99 item to my cart and the price for that item was reduced to $10 but my total then showed just the shipping charge so in the end i got $40 worth of stuff (a navel orange dwarf citrus and a dwarf citrus key lime – both come with 10in. pot and soil) for $12.95 shipped! a little wrangling but a good deal in the end! thanks for the code!

Frugalista May 25, 2010 at 9:52 am

I ordered last time and my items (two butterfly bushes and little root starts for purple coneflowers) arrived promptly and in good condition.

Christy May 25, 2010 at 10:16 am

Lisa – I also got a cancellation on my Marcel TP order, for the same reason.

carol May 25, 2010 at 10:55 am

My order for the TP was also cancelled for the same reason.

Lindsey May 25, 2010 at 11:01 am

I bought the same fruit trees as Celina. The dwarf orange and lime tree are on sale for $10 each, making them free (other than shipping) after the coupon code.
Thanks for the code!!!!

Melissa May 25, 2010 at 11:26 am

Just so you know I spent 20 minutes on the phone with customer service and apparently that code is from 2008, but they’re trying to honor it anyway. I tried to do it over the phone but the SALE prices weren’t honored so I ended up cancelling the whole order and was so frustrated. Won’t be ordering from them in the future, that’s for sure.

Megan May 25, 2010 at 11:40 am

@Melissa, Melissa, I hope you’ll give Spring Hill a second chance. I’ve had great experiences with them in the past. It’s not their fault that an old code is being spread around again and it looks like they’re trying to do the right thing by honoring it. I know what you mean, though – it’s incredibly frustrating! Hopefully some more great garden deals will be out soon :)

Crystal Brothers May 25, 2010 at 7:24 pm

@Melissa, Also, I don’t see how they are saying this is a year old deal because I saw it on their website in April when I placed my order, so if it’s a bad deal it’s their fault the word is out and not just a viral thing because I saw it directly on their website to try them out for free.

Lyndsey May 25, 2010 at 12:23 pm

I did this deal last month and am STILL waiting on some of my flowers to come in. The frustration hasn’t been worth my savings.

Maria May 25, 2010 at 1:50 pm

@Lyndsey,

Certain plants can only ship during certain times of the year. That could be part of your problem.

Crystal Brothers May 25, 2010 at 7:22 pm

@Maria, I had the same thing, and this was NOT the problem for me. the plants I ordered were all during their shipping season.

Rebecca May 26, 2010 at 5:35 am

@Lyndsey, They generally send the plants to you when the best time for planting is….is it possible it is not yet time for planting? Novice gardener, just wondering.

Amy- Cutting Coupons in KC May 25, 2010 at 12:23 pm

I did not have a good experience with Spring Hill last year. All of my plants died and they would not honor the gurantee and replace them.

Sally May 25, 2010 at 12:47 pm

Can this code be stacked with another Q code? If you check out Mr. Rebates, there’s 8% cash back and a 25 off 40. That would make for some awesome savings even with $12 shipping!

Megan May 25, 2010 at 1:39 pm

@Sally, Sally, I’m pretty sure they are one code per person…

DNE May 25, 2010 at 1:17 pm

Thanks for this code. Just purchased some roses for a hedge area and the code worked fine for me! Gonna retweet this on twitter now.

Katie May 25, 2010 at 2:10 pm

Bad product. We received our order from the previous sale and the quality of the product is not worth the shipping cost. My husband has a Masters in agriculture, so he’s a pretty good source for quality in plants.

Vicki May 25, 2010 at 3:02 pm

Last time, I ordered 50 strawberry plants – everything on the site then was 50% off. I added some other things in the deal to get up to the $20 free. The strawberry plants are doing wonderful, now that they are planted!

Christie May 25, 2010 at 10:15 pm

@Vicki,
I ordered the strawberry plants and a couple of other things during the deal a month ago and still haven’t received them. Apparently they shipped on Friday….still waiting. At this rate, I’m going to be picking strawberries and pumpkins at the same time!

Rebecca May 26, 2010 at 5:43 am

Yes, it seems very shady that the shipping cost goes up when you put in the coupon code. They are advertising this $20 off $20 purchase on their site, so for them to say it is not a current deal is also misleading. Don’t think I am going to participate….not liking their misrepresentations. I like a company who has a great deal and honors it, not tries to “get around” it.

Breanne T. May 26, 2010 at 6:34 am

Thank you so much for this deal. I accidentally ordered the wrong thing and had to call customer service this morning. I was able to cancel the order and reorder something different (using the coupon code…which she seemed to have no problem accepting) within 6 minutes. Great customer service and very pleasant people to talk to…especially so early in the morning.

Ariana Gutierrez June 3, 2010 at 10:15 am

Has anyone recieved their order?
