Woohoo! I was so excited when my friend Bethany emailed me about this really great coupon valid Monday, May 31, 2010 at Goodwill stores in Kansas.
Print a coupon to save $5 off any purchase of $5 or more. Does frugality get any better than using coupons at the thrift store?!

I want one for Ohio! I still need some things for my baby boy who’s due in 5 weeks!
Oh my goodness! What an incredible coupon – I wish we had them in my state. Enjoy!
I am sooo bummed this won’t work in Michigan. I just left Goodwill, and spent at least that much!! Would have been super nice to have been able to get $5 off my already great deals!! We have a great Goodwill here where I live. On one side is the regular Goodwill, and the other side is an “as is” Goodwill. I used to always skip the as is side, thinking everything must be in bad shape…I was so wrong. It is actually where everything from the regular Goodwills in the area gets shipped to when they don’t sell at full price. ALL kids clothes are .49 cents, and all adult clothes are .99 cents. I outfitted myself and 3 of my 4 children with stuff from there this season. (teen clothes are hard to get there, and I have not found much yet to fit my hubby) That $5/5 would have been a big help in stretching my money even further today!!
@Celicia,
Wow, Cecilia…where are you located in Michigan? I am jealous. I live in Muskegon and have a few nice Goodwill’s but not an outlet like you were talking about!

@theresa,
I live in Charlotte, about 20 minutes away from Lansing!
@Celicia, Goodwill’s do their best to make every bit possible off of their donations — many people don’t know, but they even sell the things that don’t sell in their stores to bulk dealers, who pass it on to all sorts of other uses (like old t-shirts being used for rags in paint shops). It’s kind of the “wear it out” way of doing business.
@brookeb,
That is great!! The employees at the “as is” side told me that what does not get sold at their location gets packed up and shipped off to other countries. I loved to hear that. Made me feel even better to support our local Goodwill, not only by bying stuff there, but donating stuff as well.
Looks like even select locations with in Kansas. Not include NE (Topeka, Lawrence, KC). Bummer.
I’m so excited! I LOVE the Goodwill and live in KS as well. Last time I went, I found my girls Baby Lulu, Hanna Anderson, Keedo, Children’s Place, Gap, and other amazing name brand or boutique clothes. Thanks!!
Usually Savers has 50% off of clothing on most of the Monday holidays as well, so we’ll probably check out Savers too.

Savers does have 50% off clothing, shoes, accessories, and bed and bath for Memorial Day only. The last sale, the store opened early as well.
Woohoo! I live in Hutchinson, KS, and we’re on the list! Thanks for sharing this link, I forwarded it on through my Facebook.
I live in Indiana and our quarterly 50% off sale is soon! This would have been awesome paired with that! My friend was teasing me about wishing I had a coupon…lol…I am definitely NOT too proud to use coupons at the Goodwill!!
Hubby and I are old enough to get the Sr. discount one day a week. Check it out if you are 50.
Our Goodwills in the Lansing area have stopped doing ALL discounts (besides the as is store). They no longer honor senior discounts, student discounts, or half off sales. I was bummed. They said that their overhead is too high now, and they either had to get rid of the discounts or raise the prices. I still buy stuff there…much cheaper than retail, but this time of year I tend to buy more from yard sales if I need something. I love Goddwill, but I have to make my money go as far as I can with 4 kids
Bummer that I am on vacation in Michigan when this coupon comes out!! I’ll have to post it on facebook for my local friends. Visited the goodwill in michigan today and loved the ‘as-is’ side. Also, the prices for clothes were cheaper here.
