Walgreens: Schick Quattro money-maker & free Infusium Conditioner

by Crystal on April 27, 2010

This week, Walgreens has two Schick Razor Register Rewards running and they both seem to be producing a Register Rewards when you purchase the Schick Disposable 3pm Quattro Titanium for Men. I can’t guarantee that this will happen, but it seems to be happening fairly widespread so here’s the deal, if you want to see if it works at your store:

Buy Schick Disposable 3pm Quattro Titanium for Men at $5.99
Use $4/1 Schick Quattro Disposable Razors coupon from the 03/21 SmartSource insert
Spend $1.99 plus tax out of pocket, Get $1 Register Rewards plus $3 Register Rewards

That makes this a $2 money-maker if it works for you! Let us know if you try it and what happens.

In addition, you can also get free Infusium Leave-In Conditioner:

Buy 1 Infusium 23 Leave-In Conditioner at $4.99
Use the $2/1 coupon from May Walgreen coupon book
Use $3/1 coupon from the May All You magazine
Free after coupons

I was able to hook up on the razor deal. I live in Maryvill, Tn. Yeah!!

Amy April 27, 2010 at 6:30 am

My Walgreens has told me that their monthly coupon book a the their stores are manufacturer coupons so they can not be combined with another manufacturer coupon for the Infusium deal. Have you done this deal yourself to know if it works?

Amanda April 27, 2010 at 8:10 am

@Amy, Most Walgreens consider their coupon books to be store coupons, so this deal should work for most of us. Walgreens vary widely in their customer service and their friendliness toward couponers. Personally, I have a great Walgreens who loves their couponers but other Walgreen stores near me are not so friendly. You might try another Walgreens in your area or simply ask a manager before you check-out. Always be friendly and understanding, and willing to accept their answer. For me, if they will not work with me, I say, “That’s okay. I understand. I’m not going to buy this today. Thanks for your help.” This way I have not earned a bad reputation even though I was not able to get the deal. Have fun and good luck!

@Amy,
Also remember to buy one product per coupon (Walgreen and manuf) so it doesn’t beep at you. The $.33 caramels usually near the register are one of the cheapest items I’ve found to add to my order. HTH

Beth April 27, 2010 at 6:34 am

But I thought the coupons had to be for less than your pre-tax total at Walgreens. If the leave-in conditioner is only $4.99, you can’t use $5 worth of coupons without buying a small filler, too — right??

Amanda April 27, 2010 at 8:05 am

@Beth, right

Stephanie April 27, 2010 at 7:53 pm

@Beth,
Not exactly. If you give the mfg coupon first, it will take off $3 first. Using a wags coupon next will deduct $2 from the original price, not the price after the mfg coupon… make sense? If you always give the walgreens coupons LAST, you will never have a problem with this. (Same situation for this week with the scotch packaging tape. Give the mfg coupon first, and the walgreens coupon last.)

The razor deal worked for me in KY.

I went to Walgreens yesterday and the cashier was so excited to help me get freebies. She said, “I have this great website where I get all my ideas” and wrote dows http://www.moneysavingmom.com on a receipt and handed it to me. “That’s my favorite site!” I said. Way to go MSM!

Allison April 27, 2010 at 9:31 am

I get All You, and my best friend uses the Infusium stuff, so I’m going to get her a free bottle this week! She’s my coupon buddy…we go grocery shopping after the kids are in bed, and trade coupons while we shop. It’s so fun! She’s moving away in a few months and I’m really gonna miss that with her.

Allison April 28, 2010 at 8:14 pm

@Allison, I went today, and it was $5.99, so I still paid a dollar for it, but that pretty good!

Carrie April 27, 2010 at 10:07 am

Amy, at my Connecticut store, I was told the same thing. The monthly Walgreens book coupons are Manufacturer’s coupons and cannot be combined with another manufacturer coupon…..I went so far as to check with the manager, who explained the above policy to me. I love Wag’s anyway……still do some of my best saving there!

Marie April 27, 2010 at 11:54 am

FYI….At my Walgreens in Metro Detroit the Infusium rings up at 6.99, then is 4.99 with their $2 coupon in their coupon book. So the 4.99 price is WITH their store coupon already figured in. I told the casheir to take it off my bill.

Esther April 28, 2010 at 6:16 am

@Marie,
Marie,
The Walgreens in Owosso, MI had a sign of $5.99 for the Infusium leave in conditioner, but the actual product was still marked @ $4.99
I was able to get them to override it to the $4.99 price and got it free! The shampoo & conditioners were marked @ $6.99 though.

Julie April 27, 2010 at 11:58 am

I had trouble trying the Infusium deal today at my Wags. I tried to get the Leave In Treatment, marked at 4.99 and use the $3 from All You and the $2 from the May book. The cashier and manager told me that they couldn’t adjust the coupon down. I’ve done this a million times and I’m wondering if this is 1)a new policy, 2)a corporate policy, 3) one that these particular employees believe and follow. I’m just wondering if I should try it at another Wags or even the same store on a different shift. I usually have no problem with this, since the store is getting the full coupon refunded to them, they are losing no money by doing this.
Thanks for all your help!
Julie

The money maker deal on the razors worked for me!! I’m in Mount Airy, NC.

Lynn in MD April 27, 2010 at 1:34 pm

Just so your readers don’t get confused… the photo of the razor you posted is NOT of the disposable razor that is good for this deal. Wild for Wags has the razor deal and correct photo on her webiste.

The coupon is for disposable razors. These are not disposables. I am trying to only use the right coupons for the item to the best of my ability to be above reproach. I have noticed an increase in hatred towards couponers by cashiers so I want to be sure that I am following the rules to the best of my ability.

Jennifer April 27, 2010 at 4:19 pm

@jen, The razor producing the register rewards are the disposables so your coupon will work. Worked for me today in WV. =)

Jennifer April 27, 2010 at 6:57 pm

Worked for me in Streetsboro, Ohio. But they only had a couple !! Hopefully they get more in !! I have lots of coupons !! :)

chandler April 27, 2010 at 7:16 pm

It also worked on the Schick Quattro 3 count as well. It is a blue and silver disposable razor.

Kristina at Balancing Budgets and Babies April 27, 2010 at 7:41 pm

I tried this tonight in Southwestern PA and it worked like a charm! The razors weren’t marked on sale though so I did a price check and sure enough they were all good. Thanks for sharing!
