Ughh! Placed 2 orders- one for me and one for someone else. Shirt/shorts were in both carts which they cancelled just 4 hrs ago. Called to cancel the whole order and they won’t let me. The prices on my bank acct are both wrong. should have been $6.xx one was $15, one was $23. Now she says they’re charging $5.95 and $15.95 for each order of 1 shirt. What a ripoff! Explained how the code went viral, told her if they can cancel part of the order, they could cancel it all. So upset with this! Now I’m paying 3 times what I agreed upon for 1/3 of the order.
Just received an email and my order got cancelled… oh well.. it better than they charging full price .. I got the 4 t-shirts that were back ordered until may …
It didnt work for me so I called. They said they were canceling all orders. For who it did work did you get your merch?
My tracking says that my free t-shirt was shipped and so far I haven’t seen a charge on my credit card. It was $16 with free shipping so I didn’t have to pay anything, but I still had to give them my credit card number.
Got an e-mail saying the shirt was not available and was canceled, nothing more. Today got a second e-mail saying the other items I ordered were being shipped but WITHOUT the discount. My total went from $7 to $22 for LESS stuff! Sent them an e-mail hoping to get it reduced back to $7 even though was one item short. Got a very snotty e-mail in reply saying that the coupon had gone viral and it wasn’t their problem and I would be billed $22 anyway. Didn’t even bother to apologize for anything.
Boy do I wish I had checked online first. There is no end to the terrible reviews of their customer service. I think they richly deserve every one. I will certainly not ever order from them again, not even if it is free.
I ordered 2 shorts & 2 shirts with the code, it came to 8.31 and I got confirmation of that in email.
Then today I see an email that it shipped but they charged me 18.83!
My credit card shows 18.83 too!
I emailed them 2x now to try to get this figured out but no reply yet.
I will be calling if I hear nothing by the end of the day.

I got message back cvorrecting my account.
I got the email confirming the order, one stating that one shirt was backordered, another stating backordered shirt was now cancelled. I got another email today stating that the order had been shipped, only the 2 pairs of shorts, and that I was being charged twice as much as the order confirming the email stated. My card hasn’t been charged yet, but if it is I will dispute the charges. I told the customer service rep on the phone that I will refuse delivery and mark RETURN TO SENDER on their package.
Oh my….so frustrated….same thing happened to me….they canceled the two shirts without telling me….shipped the two shorts and charged me $17 the entire order was only supposed to be $7.
I will be calling and Returning the items. I’m not paying $17 for two pairs of shorts…
Be careful! They told me that if I refused the package, I’d still owe the $5.95 to get it to me!
I place an order and only had to pay the $5.95 shipping (have the receipt to prove it). However, I received an email yesterday saying my items had shipped & the amounts were CHANGED on the new receipt to show that I am paying full price for the items & they changed the amount on one item to 0.00 on the receipt that they sent me for shipping!!! I checked my bank account & instead of charging me $5.95, they charged me $20.92!
I just sent them an email saying they better refund my account IMMEDIATELY or else I will dispute it as a fraudulent charge with my bank and I will turn them into the BBB & the Attorney General for false & misleading business practices. I DID NOT give them permission to make a withdrawal for $20.95, only $5.95.
@Junanne, Let me know how they specifically respond to your email. I’m very curious how they weasel out of your accusations:) When I noticed the abnormal charge the day this whole thing broke, I called them and my rep. (identified as the night call manager) said he contacted billing and although the pending charge shows an improper amount, I would only be billed the amount I allowed through checkout. When that came to be false when my charge posted as the higher and incorrect amount, I just went straight to my bank (Chase) and explained the situation. They gladly, without trouble, did a dispute/chargeback for the amount over what I agreed to pay (not the WHOLE amount charged). I didn’t contact the store and I haven’t heard anything from them or my bank. Thats where I’m at now. Who knows if they’ll fight the chargeback; I haven’t seen anyone who said they filed a chargeback dispute update their situation on any of the blogs I’m watching… so no news is good news, I hope?! LOL

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, the coupon that was used has since been discontinued due to it going viral. The sites that were promoting this discount are not affiliated with The Company Store. When it did go viral not all of the terms and conditions of the discount were included, and we will only be honoring the official discount that includes all of the terms and conditions. The promotion did not apply to past purchases, as payment on any credit card account, Charisma products, clearance, Company Kids merchandise, gift cards, custom shop, club memberships and could not be combined with any other offer. When your order downloaded into our system, it recognized the items that were clearance on your order and did not apply the promotion for the discount.
If you do not accept the charges, the package can be refused and returned to us for a refund back to your credit card. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
@Junanne, Here is my response back to them:
I’m sorry but this in not my problem. Your website ACCEPTED the coupon AND my payment. If it was not supposed to go through, your website should not have allowed it to go through! If it was a mistake on your part, you should have CANCELED the order, instead of illegally altering my receipt and payment amount and filling the order without contacting me first. I do have copies of both receipts and if I do not receive the refund for the difference in price I will turn you into the BBB and the Attorney General ASAP!
This is ridiculous. I tried to put other items in my cart & it would not accept the coupon so I selected other items that did allow the coupon to go through. If you do not honor this, there will be negative consequences. This is fraudulent activity on YOUR part. You fraudulently charged my card for more than what I originally agreed to. This is ILLEGAL!
I also have Chase & will be going to my bank to dispute the charges with all of my proof.
Everyone who they defrauded needs to go to Google & type in “Attorney General for ______(your state)” and file a consumer complaint to get your money back and so they don’t get away with this. They are charging us more money illegally, after we already agreed to an amount that was to be taken out of our accounts. They should have just canceled the orders instead of altering the receipts and filling the orders anyway.
Finally! My order is en route as of yesterday AND my credit card has the proper charge in the account — $5.95.
I had a similar nightmare experience. They over charged my CC and then said sorry the code was not valid and that they will not credit me! This is really tacky! So I am just going to refuse the package and get my credit. Wish I never did this deal and wish I never sent it to my friends who also did the deal. Yuck!
Well, they never replied to my last email so I submitted a complaint to the BBB & the Attorney General. Next dispute will be with my bank.
They basically pulled the ole “bait & switch” on all of us. Any other company would have just canceled all of the orders, instead of altering our receipts and “stealing” our money.
I received my order today and was not given the full $20 discount. I bought two t-shirts and two shorts. I called the customer service number and they apologized and explained that the code should have never worked on company kids’ merchandise or sale items. However, because I had already received the order they agreed to credit the shipping. I only paid $4 more than I had expected. If you run into the same problem call the toll-free number on the shipping order. Good luck!
I had the same problem. Called them after it had already arrived of course and they were not very friendly on the phone. I will be writing a letter of complaint and telling everyone I know not to deal with them because they have terrible customer service. They should never send out orders without telling you of the change in cost!
After reading comments of others being charged more I emailed them telling them to cancel my order if they wouldn’t accept the slumber code. They responded that the order was already being processed so it was too late to cancel and I didn’t know what to do. Well yesterday I received my order (personalized apron from company kids) and the invoice only showed $5.95 shipping charge. I checked my online banking and was only charged $5.95 shipping! I was ready to fight or dispute this too. Sorry for all those who had bad experiences but there’s hope others have good experience with this.
