I was at CVS last night—didn’t get the gum, but felt like I did pretty good! I paid $1.78 for 7 items and that includes tax! Here is the link to the great deal that I got http://tinyurl.com/y4ky3nr I had all four of my children with me and they were just as excited as I was about getting a great deal. I think that I will take them back after church tonight and get the gum for the them:)

which insert was this in on sunday?
thanks

Honey Smith April 13, 2010 at 10:04 am

@shelly, I think red plum. And as always with coupons there can be regional variations.

The Gum coupons are actually coded for $1/3. So they are going to beep if you try to buy 2 and use 2 coupons.

I bought 2 packs yesterday. Courtney is right in that the register will beep. I bought 2 of the multipacks (each w/ 3 single packs), and the register did beep when the cashier tried to scan my Qs. The cashier and I read the coupon, which states that it is $1 off 3 single packs, a multipack, or something else (can’t remember and no longer have my Qs). Since we both agreed that I was purchasing a multipack, the coupon should be able to be applied, and she manually put it through.

My coupon reads “save 1.00 on any 3 single packs, multipackS or bottleS of Trident gum” so you would have to buy 3 multipacks to use this correctly, is how I read it, but I could be wrong.

What insert? I do not fine my coupon but still have the sunday paper. My kids LOVE gum this would be a GREAT treat for them.

Rae April 13, 2010 at 8:12 am

Jen is correct, the coupons states $1 off 3 single packs, multipackS, etc not off 3 single packs, a multipack

AKelly April 13, 2010 at 10:25 am

Yep, I wondered if y’all got different coupons than I did. (And it’s in the SS insert…whole Trident page with 2 Qs on it.) I thought it was an awesome deal to get 2 multipacks for $1 after Q and ECB, and only picked up 2 multipacks…and the Q beeped. When I asked the girl (who would’ve let it go through) why it beeped and re-read my coupon, I went back for the 3rd multipack. Honestly 9 big/normal packs of Trident (I buy a pack a week anyway) for $2.50 is an awesome deal, and I really like to keep the coupons legit…even more so since the stores remember me from week to week.

Darn you guys are right. Wish I would’ve caught that before I went ahead and clipped them all out!

Amy April 13, 2010 at 12:51 pm

How I had read it was that it would be $1 off 3 single packs

or $1 off multipacks

But the coupon beeped when you used it so it must be coded as $1/3 for any of the products.

The cashier still pushed it through

christy April 13, 2010 at 3:46 pm

The machine beeped when I tried to use the 2 cpns for the 2 multi-packs. I had to buy 3 multipacks to get the $1 off. It ends up being $2.50 for 3 multi-packs. Still a good deal for 9 packs of gum, but not as good as FREE!

carline April 13, 2010 at 8:46 pm

I don’t think it’s right to ask the cashier to push it through when you are supposed to purchase three multipacks or three single packs or 3 bottles like the coupon reads. Just my opinion.
