wouldn’t it be $.50 OOP since it is priced at $2.99?! Am I missing something?

Kelly March 4, 2010 at 10:23 am

@Angie, Use use both coupons, the $2 printable and the $1.50 for a total of $3.50 off!

Is this actual overage or just the IDEA of overage? If actual overage, do I need a filler or other item I want it applied to? Is it standard for all Wags to do this? Reason I ask is that I sometimes get flustered at the check-out (usually a line of people behind me appear from nowhere…)

Kelly March 4, 2010 at 10:22 am

@Ellen, You will need another item. they will not give you money back.

Walgreen’s aluminum foil and paper towels are 59 cents this week (with in-ad coupon), so that might help with an extra item that isn’t candy or gum.

Kim March 4, 2010 at 10:53 am

Altoids are on sale for .59 this week too, which I was going to use as my filler but ended up not needing because I couldn’t do the Tylenol deal.

However, I was able to get my SB Frappucinos for .25 each. Yum!

Kim March 4, 2010 at 10:51 am

I tried to do this deal yesterday with Tylenol PM, but there wasn’t a Tylenol product to be found. I asked when they would be getting more, the clerk told me there was a Tylenol recall and she had no idea if they would get it or not. Has anyone else had this problem?

However, she gave me a raincheck, which I had no idea Walgreens even did!

Amber March 4, 2010 at 12:59 pm

@Kim, I sincerely hope there isnt a recall, b/c my Wags is fully stocked with tylenol and i just did this deal. maybe they know about the coupons and pulled it off the shelf this week? I worked retail once and have seen it happen too many times to count

Kim March 6, 2010 at 1:26 pm

@Amber, I went back yesterday to see if they got more in stock on their truck, but nothing again. I asked the manager and got the same story, so who knows what the truth is. I also noticed though that I couldn’t have done the deal anyway because my Wags had the 24-count bottle marked at the same price as the 50-count bottle ($5.29), so it wouldn’t have been a money-maker for me. :(

Lisa March 8, 2010 at 11:44 pm

I asked my Walgreens about that. There was nothing on their shelves. Manager said it was a voluntary recall (discretion of the store I guess). I would rather be safe and have them take it off the shelves than be sorry. BTW, he gave me a rain check.

How do you get the monthly coupon books? I’ve never really shopped at Walgreens except to run in for the occasional Rx – but its so close to home and the deals look pretty good sometimes. Do I just pick one up in the store, or do you have to sign up for it?

Kim March 4, 2010 at 11:00 am

@Bethany, my Wags has the monthly coupon books and the weekly flyer right by the front door.

mel March 4, 2010 at 12:47 pm

in some areas, you will have trouble finding it. No one in here in town carries PM or Simply Sleep since it was recalled. I tried to buy some the other day with my refund voucher and still couldn’t find it anywhere!

Jennifer March 4, 2010 at 1:40 pm

I was trying to print the coupon but its won’t let me. It said this campaign is over. Is anyone having this problem?

Esther Wilhelm March 4, 2010 at 2:21 pm

The website is now saying that campaign (for printing $2/1 Qs) is over.

Irene March 4, 2010 at 2:45 pm

I went into Wags the other day looking for the tylenol too, and found none. :(

jane March 4, 2010 at 2:58 pm

I can’t get the coupon to work, it says campaign is over

Celeste March 4, 2010 at 3:01 pm

The coupon for the Simply Sleep says the Campaign is Over=No more coupons.

Mary - The Deal Detector March 5, 2010 at 3:20 am

My Wags was out of these too. I wasn’t told they were recalled…they had all bottles in stock but the one that was actually in the ad (20 ct). If there was a recall, wouldn’t they recall all Tylenol PM? hmm..

Also, I think the Simply Sleep (and the others on the site) are out of prints. :(
