How will the $5 coupon take off $10? And you can’t use two of the same Walgreens coupon in the same transaction…?
The Walgreens coupons automatically take off $5 per item purchased. The register is set up this way. So if you hand them one coupon and you’ve purchased two of the items that the coupon is for, it will take off $5 twice. Make sense? That’s why Walgreens coupons are so wonderful!
Actually, when I tried for this deal on Sunday morning, the register beeped, because taking $5 off twice would have taken off more than the two Resveratrols were worth ($9.99). So I wound up getting two for half the price of one…still not a terrible deal, but definitely not free!
@Michelle, You would need a cheap filler item since it doesnt include tax.
@Jennifer, That’s odd, I had other items in my order. I wonder why they didn’t absorb the overage…
My Walgreen didn’t have these on BOGO sale. They were regular price!
they are on the front page of the sale flyer. I did it today and went through perfectly. The cashier said, “wow thanks for the coupon lesson”. Free is fun!
I went this morning for this deal at my local walgreens in MO. They were on sale for BOG1 for 9.99. I used the coupon and it took of $10. I also bought a pkg. of newborn walgreens brand diapers for clearance price of $2.19. My total for all of this was $2.33 with tax.
Then I went to another walgreens a mile down the road hoping to get some more because the first walgreens only had two left and I bought them. They did. They had a whole shelf full, but the price wasn’t $9.99. It was $10.99. So, I paid $1.06 with tax for two. I don’t understand why they were different prices 1 mile down the road. The manager said each store sets it’s own prices. Hmmm…anyway I was still pleased with the deal. I got 4 bottles of Resveritrol for 1.06. I saved $40.90. Woohoo!
My Walgreens in WA didn’t have them on the bogof sale. The flier says “Finest Natural Heart Health supplements” or reg “Nature Made supplements.” I was disappointed to not see the bogof tag and didn’t go through with my purchase.
My Walgreens had them for $14.99 & there was no tag on the shelf saying is was on sale. I didn’t get them. Maybe next time.
