by Crystal on March 8, 2010

Walgreens has Hershey’s chocolate bars on sale for 2/$3 this week. Here’s how you can get these free:

Hershey’s chocolate bars (4-4.5oz) – $1.50
Buy 2 and use 2 $1/1 coupons from the 1/10 SmartSource insert
Stack with $1/2 Walgreens store coupon from the March coupon booklet
Free after coupons

Last weeks deal was actually better then this one for florida.
It was 2/$2 than use the $1.00 walgreens coupon to get them for 2/$1, use your manu. coupon for $1.00 off one, get them both for free.

What do you guys do when the coupons are missing from the Sunday paper. I bought 4 papers this weekend and SmartSource was missing from all of them. Is there any way to get on a mailing list for them?

I’m so confused about Walgreens! I’m afraid to go back! I tried to do the Sleep-Aid and Tylenol PM deal with my coupons and March Savings book, and the register wouldn’t let her ring it up for me. She called the manager and he told me it says right on every coupon in the March savings book that THOSE are manufacturers coupons, so they cannot be combined with other manufacturer coupons I have. However, just two days earlier I WAS able to do the Purex deal (although I had to buy 4)–but since that was just a sale and not a March coupon book deal, I’m worried they won’t ever let me use coupon book deals with manufacturer coupons….???? How does everyone else get it to work??? (Thanks – would love to score all these deals!)

@Brooke,
Try giving them your manufacture coupon 1st and then your Walgreens coupon, that usually works for me.

@Brooke,
I just had the same problem yesterday. Actually the cashier would not even scan the Walgreen’s booklet coupon, said it would not accept both
manufacturer’s coupon and WG instant value coupon. The manager said the same thing. He said it has something to do with the manufacturer when it is keyed into their system. Some coupons will go through and some will be denied. I think I have had enough of Walgreen’s.

Do different regions of the US have different coupons in their SS and RP inserts? I don’t have a Hershey’s coupon in either of my SS inserts for that date*sniff, sniff*

My Western WA SS has the Hershey’s coupons. I’ll need to share with the kids: they’ve been so good about helping me collect papers from the neighbors!

I tried to do this deal, but my coupon was expired. :/

My coupon expired 2/21. Bummer!
