Kmart: $10/$20 coupon = Huggies diapers for as low as $2 per package! (coupon no longer available)

by Crystal on March 18, 2010

Today is the day for bargains, eh?!

And I have another sweet deal to share. There’s an unheard-of $10/$20 KMart coupon available on the KMart website. It’s a PDF and it appears it can be legtimately printed as many times as you’d like. (This coupon is no longer available. As predicted, it didn’t last long!)

What is really crazy is that it is good through May 15, 2010! You should be able to combine this with manufacturer’s coupons at the KMart Double Coupon Event coming up in April.

In addition, if you have a local store which accepts competitor’s coupons, you could score some great deals with this coupon.

But, if you need Huggies diapers, here’s a way to get them for a ridiculously-low price:

Buy 2 packs of Huggies at $9.99 each (I’m guestimating on that price. Can anyone verify what the actual price is?)
Use $10/$20 KMart coupon
Use 2 $3/1 Huggies coupons
Approximately $2 per package of diapers after the coupons!

I cannot guarantee how long either of these coupons will be available so I’d recommend printing now if you are planning to use them.

Thanks for the heads’ up on this spectacular coupon, Frugalista!

:-)
Hope you are feeling better.

Karen March 18, 2010 at 3:08 pm

“Cannot combine with any other coupon for the same
item(s) ….”

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great coupon, but just a head’s up to read the fine print, there are a lot of exclusions (none on diapers though, yay!!) and they won’t let you combine this with another coupon.

Crystal March 18, 2010 at 3:12 pm

Per the wording on the coupon, you should be able to use it in conjunction with a manufacturer’s coupon. Of course, a cashier who is not coupon-friendly could tell you otherwise. :)

Jennifer March 18, 2010 at 3:11 pm

I think they will pull this before the week is over.
It seems too good to be true and such a long expiration date.

REMEMBER THE SEARS COUPON FOR THE $10 OFF A $10+ PURCHASE. THEY STOPPED TAKING THE INTERNET PRINTED ONES AND JUST THE ONES THAT CAME OUT OF 17 MAGAZINE.

lele March 18, 2010 at 3:13 pm

I will be very curious to know if the KMART’s will accept these, they are such sticklers with returns etc. I would expect to have an associate argue with me.

Erin March 18, 2010 at 3:20 pm

The last time I tried to use a $5 off $50 during super doubles, they wouldn’t take it because it states on there that it is AFTER all other discounts. So you would have to have $20 left AFTER all your coupons to use this.

Great for something that doesn’t go on sale, but won’t be able to get a bunch of free stuff, according to the wording.

Christina March 18, 2010 at 3:22 pm

The coupon says you can’t double it or combine it with any other coupon on the same item. But still, you can’t beat getting $10 off!! Thanks for sharing!

megscole64 March 18, 2010 at 3:26 pm

I think (the way I read it) you have to have $20 AFTER other coupons and then the $10 can apply. Which still isn’t a bad deal if you buy several things of diapers using the $3/1 Qs.

Teresa March 18, 2010 at 4:12 pm

Might also be good to use on shoes. Most of their shoes are BOGO 1/2 off right now.

Teresa March 18, 2010 at 4:15 pm

Sorry, not good on BOGOS

Challice March 18, 2010 at 4:18 pm

Is it all ready gone? I cannot open the file and I have adobe and PDF reader thingie.

Tara - TheCouponZone March 18, 2010 at 4:29 pm

What an incredible find! And I thought I was excited about the Super Doubles finally coming to my area!

Thanks so much!

Tara

Betsy Durand March 18, 2010 at 4:50 pm

It does read as though the manufacturer’s coupons would be applied first and the total must be $20 or more, so you’d need to purchase more than two packages of diapers….still a great deal! Thanks for passing this on!

Rosie T March 18, 2010 at 5:22 pm

normal price on jumbo packs at Kmart is $9.99. =) Good guess.

sarah March 18, 2010 at 5:30 pm

Did anyone try this yet? I’m curious as to how it works. Our Kmart is really far away but it might be worth the drive. Especially with twins in diapers and a big family in general

Emily March 18, 2010 at 5:46 pm

This is a great coupon. Like others have said, it must be $20 after other coupons. I tried one time when it was a 5 off 20 and had other coupons and it kicked the $5 coupon out because my total went below 20.

Pam March 18, 2010 at 6:35 pm

My husband and I each used this coupon at the Kmart in Plymouth, MI. Had no problem at all. We didn’t try using any other coupons in addition to the 10 off 20, so don’t have any information on that.

Barbara Burns March 18, 2010 at 6:40 pm

I cannot seem to open the PDF… Is anyone else having trouble? I don’t know if it’s an issue on my end, or with the website — anyone??

Theresa March 18, 2010 at 6:51 pm

@Barbara Burns,
It opened fine for me just now.

Challice March 18, 2010 at 8:47 pm

@Barbara Burns,

I am having trouble. “File is damaged and cannot be repaired” is what its pop up box says. :P

Barbara Burns March 19, 2010 at 6:31 am

@Barbara Burns, I’ve tried opening it in IE and Google Chrome, to no avail.

Argh!!!

Lexa March 18, 2010 at 7:10 pm

I’m a little unclear about the part of the fine print that says “Cannot combine with any other coupon for the same item(s)” – does that mean the Huggies manufacturer coupons won’t be accepted?

Somebody tell me if my math is off on these scenarios …

If manufacturer coupons *are not* accepted, then:
Buy 2 packs of Huggies at $9.99 each
Include some small filler item to take total to $20
Use $10/$20 KMart coupon
Approximately $5 per package of diapers after the coupons

If manufacturer coupons *are* accepted, then:
Buy 3 packs of Huggies at $9.99 each (3 because total must be $20 after all other coupons and discounts have been applied, per fine print)
Use 3 $3/1 Huggies coupons (must have access to 2 computers)
Use $10/$20 KMart coupon
Approximately $3.66 per package of diapers after the coupons

Alicia March 18, 2010 at 7:17 pm

My husband and I also each used one in PA. No questions, no problems. Husband bought $20.34 worth of stuff and paid 10.34 plus tax. Mine was $25.00 and I paid $15.00 plus tax. So no you do not have to pay $20 after the coupon! I did not use any other coupons though. Everything I bought was on clearance :)

Becky R March 18, 2010 at 7:26 pm

There is another possible use for the Kmart coupon right now. There is a deal running through 4/12 on select brands like Dial, Brawny, Purex, and many others, which if you buy $30, it prints a $10 coupon at the register. So, you could buy $30, use man. coupons, use the $10 Kmart coupon and get a $10 printed at the register, perhaps paying only tax after all is said and done. Of course, you have to pay the $10 and then get it back as a “register reward” to use for your next purchase there.

Angie March 18, 2010 at 7:32 pm

I just got my $10 Hershey gift card so I’ll be using that for sure to stock up for Easter baskets.

Kelly March 18, 2010 at 8:09 pm

I just tried to use this at KMart in Kansas City and they would not let me use it. They said they got a notice from corporate today not to accept them anymore. :(

Vikki March 19, 2010 at 9:50 am

@Kelly, Ugh! I’m in Kansas City, too, and had high hopes for this coupon! Which Kmart did you go to, Kelly?

Kelly March 19, 2010 at 10:51 am

I went to the one in Overland Park. The one on 95 and Metcalf.

Holly Moore March 18, 2010 at 8:17 pm

I just used it in NC for the Prinesses and the Frog and the doll and used the $5 DVD coupon and this coupon and it worked

Cyndi March 18, 2010 at 8:38 pm

I used it tonight with 3 separate transactions no problem and did use the $4 off Hungry Hippos manufacturer coupon with it…got a $17 game for $3 :) ..thanks for sharing!!

ashli March 18, 2010 at 8:48 pm

I just used these today in Independence, mo I bought
2 Huggies 9.99 each
1 kotex liner a filler 1.39
-10 cp
-2
-2
-1
= 6.85

Not to bad didnt know about the $3 cp

But the really good deal is

by 7 gillete body washes @ 4
use either 4/2 or 2 off 1 I used both
-10 cp
=4.30

Get a 5 off 5 good 4/1 to 4/15 MONEY MAKER!!

Lea March 18, 2010 at 9:14 pm

I really hope they don’t pull the coupon like another commenter suggested. I used 4 of them tonight, got a beach towel and some clearance shoes in one transaction and did 3 diaper transactions each with 2 packs of huggies and a pack of stride gum as a filler ($1, my husband pays full price for this on a regular basis so I almost always use it as a filler when I need one) – used $10 coupon and 2 $3 Huggies MQs on each diaper transaction and my totals came to $5.64 after tax! No issues at all from the cashier about the coupons. I will note – the huggies diapers are SUPPOSED to print a $3 OYNO coupon when you purchase 2 in one transaction and that DIDN’T happen, so I’d guess the other “register reward” scenarios won’t work either.

Rochelle March 18, 2010 at 9:33 pm

I think they may have pulled this coupon. I printed one at first and then went back to print more off and the page is blank for me. Just wondering if it is still working for other people or if it is a blank page for everyone. Thanks for any help. I really hope it isn’t pulled as I would love to print about 10 more. :)

Rochelle March 18, 2010 at 9:37 pm

@Rochelle,
It’s working now for me. Operator error!! Can’t wait to go shopping to K-Mart now!!! :)

becomingfrugal March 18, 2010 at 11:36 pm

@Rochelle, It just worked for me at 10:30pm california time!

Chris March 19, 2010 at 7:40 am

@Rochelle, worked just fine for me today

Rachel Boggs March 18, 2010 at 9:51 pm

Apparently to get the $3 catalina it goes to your reward card. That’s what I’ve read on other blogs because I didn’t get any $3 catalinas today when I bought diaper or wipes. I was able to use my $10 off $20 with manufacture’s coupons. The first lady wasn’t going to let me, but then I went to 2 other cashiers for other transactions and they pushed them through no problem.

Anna Espinoza March 18, 2010 at 10:09 pm

I just went tonight and used it with no problems…woohoo! What a great deal!

Evy March 18, 2010 at 11:28 pm

Hi
I looked at the KMart coupon and it doesnt look like it will work with the huggies coupons. It says on the coupon “cannot be combined” otherwise that would be an awesome cheap deal. But I guess its still a good deal without the huggies coupons too. Thanks for posting!

becomingfrugal March 18, 2010 at 11:35 pm

Just a quick note, I don’t have a Kmart nearby but a sears essentials which supposedly is part of kmart (it used to be a kmart at this location) I went during the double coupon event a while back and even though they said they would honor the deal the cashier didn’t and it was a huge hassle. I called the manager the next day and he assured me I could come in and do my deals again and even gave me a specific cashier to ask for so he would make sure she took care of me, and she did. I was pretty happy with this even though it meant an extra trip, so it might pay to call ahead and write down the manager’s name just in case if anyone else out there is trying this at sears essentials. :) The second cashier explained that there were some kinks with the link up of systems for sears essentials and kmarts even though they were both supposed to honor the coupons and deals, I’m hoping they’ve worked these out by now!

Cori March 19, 2010 at 1:25 am

I went out to my local K-Mart (No. Kentucky) last night and used two 10/20 coupons to do the diaper deal twice with the 3/1 coupons and the $3.00 back. I found sale priced Maybelline nail polish for 2.67, then coupons on an endcap for 1/1 Maybelline product, which made it worth it to try and get the 3.00 reward with it. I ended up spending 12.82 with tax for four packs of diapers and two bottles of nail polish, and my cashier said that the rewards I earned last night should post today. What an amazing deal, and I had no problem using the 10/20 with other coupons.

Lori March 19, 2010 at 6:43 am

I just printed off 2, but before printing I went into print preview and chose “booklet printing” it prints on the middle of the page but on the edge, if that makes sence, you can then put the paper back in printer and get another one right next to it, JUST KNOW HOW TO PUT THE PAPER BACK INTO PRINTER with out messing up the first coupon.

Elizabeth Horton March 19, 2010 at 7:58 am

Just printed it 3/19 9:30am and it worked fine.

Karen March 19, 2010 at 7:59 am

It didn’t work for me :( . They said it was because of the Huggies coupons. Oh well…I’m going to try the other kmart here in town later. If not we have 2 bday’s coming up…so I will get gifts for the kids!

Maya March 19, 2010 at 8:23 am

I can’t find the coupon, maybe it is gone. Can anyone tell me where it is when you click the link in the post?

Maya March 19, 2010 at 8:25 am

@Maya, Okay, sorry I tried again and it came up!

Jenny March 19, 2010 at 8:27 am

The coupon did not scan in Raleigh NC but the manager took it off anyway.
Thanks.

Rachel March 19, 2010 at 8:35 am

I used one of these last night; the cashier scanned it, it took off the $10 – no problem. I went back again this morning, and when the cashier scanned it, the register said “Reward Not Found.” She asked a supervisor, who told her to go ahead and take the $10 off manually. I’m thinking they’re not likely to do it repeatedly, though. Bummer.

Nicole March 19, 2010 at 9:39 am

For those of you whose babies drink formula, remember…formula checks don’t count as coupons and could be a good deal in conjunction with this. I’m going to utilize my $5 Similac checks with this, so I’ll only pay $5 at the register as long as I grab one similac item too. Great deal!

Whitney March 19, 2010 at 9:42 am

I’m also getting a completely blank page when I follow the link. *Sigh* Oh, well.

missy March 19, 2010 at 10:17 am

My kmart won’t take the $10 coupon. FYI, manager says Kmart printed a retraction on this coupon

Jenn March 19, 2010 at 10:24 am

I went to the Ohio norwalk adn they refused to take it, said it was put out by mistake..I called corporate adn am waiting to hear back from how badly I was treated by teh associate

nicole March 19, 2010 at 10:49 am

It would not scan for me at 11am central. They would not take it. It’s dead already.

Tara March 19, 2010 at 11:11 am

So I guess it’s only working for select NY stores now?? Kind of a bummer. They need to keep an eye on what they are putting out there so they don’t get our hopes up! I have a few copies of the original coupon though…maybe it will still work at my store.

Amber Barnum March 19, 2010 at 11:12 am

I am still able to open it! But, as many others mentioned, there are a number of exclusions on it. Either way, a great coupon!

Misty March 19, 2010 at 11:38 am

I’m so confused. The one I printed said “only good at New York stores listed below.” Did anyone use this anywhere else?

Heather March 19, 2010 at 11:57 am

I went this morning and I could not use the man. coupon for the huggies diapers(I bought the boxes @20.99) with the $10 the cashier told me it was one or the other, so of course I took the $10 off. I also had an issue with the coupon scanning and saying “reward not found” the manager did take them both off. I printed 5 off the bat this morning so I am not sure if it will work the next time I go in. The cashier did tell me since I printed it off their site, they would have to honor it, whether it was their mistake or not. I used it in MD so I hope that helps.

meh March 19, 2010 at 11:58 am

ok went to kc kmart and was told it was counterfeit… Called national and got two stories and was told they would call me back because they are getting conflicting info.

National Retail ph# 800-549-4505 Option 5 if anyone wants it

1. It is a valid coupon but was not supposed to be released until next week. I asked why does the exp date start on 2/26/2010 then?

2. It was meant to be delivered and used only by the specific emails they sent it to and was not supposed to be leaked out for public use.

3. Its only good in NY area…. Then why does mine say valid at all store locations?

They said someone will be calling back.

Sandi March 19, 2010 at 12:01 pm

At my Kmart they are saying it is a fraudulent coupon. Of course, they don’t say that until you get to the register with your full cart. Why can’t they put a sign on the door?

meh March 19, 2010 at 12:07 pm

#3 was after she put me on hold and checked with national. That was the latest info they had.

Karin Sames March 19, 2010 at 12:13 pm

I went to Kmart in Monroe, NC this morning. Coupon wouldnt scan but the manager took it off. They really didnt want to do it but did anyway. They said since it didnt scan then they are not to take it.

Heather March 19, 2010 at 12:22 pm

My kmart told me this was not a valid coupon.

Bits of Whitt March 19, 2010 at 12:36 pm

I worked out a scenario on my frugal site for getting 5 packs of Huggies diapers on diapers.com for under $.99 per pack. Here’s a link, if interested…

http://bitsofwhitt.com/2010/03/working-deal-99pack-of-huggies-at.html

Thanks, Crystal, for all you do!

Ginger March 19, 2010 at 12:43 pm

I tried to use the $10/20 in AZ, they already won’t accept the coupon, said they don’t know where it came from. Bummer!

sarah March 19, 2010 at 12:44 pm

Not valid in Florida either. I’m annoyed becuase the manager told me I was using a fraudulant one either though I printed it from their website. No biggie, I guess I just won’t shop there anymore. I didn’t before still won’t.

donna March 19, 2010 at 12:53 pm

In Phila did not work. They had this coupon printed and on every corner with the words DO NOT TAKE. Oh well, they did look at me like I was stealing and checked out all of the other coupons that I had to make sure that they were not fake.

kari March 19, 2010 at 1:06 pm

@donna, same thing happend to me here in oscoda michigan! very dissappointed to put it lightly.

Kelli March 19, 2010 at 12:56 pm

OK, I called the KMart customer service number (800) and asked why the coupon was changed because the manager at my KMart (Mississippi)said that the coupon was fraudulant but the new coupon with the NY stores is the same web address for the old coupon. So I talked with a rep and she asked her manager and the manager said that the coupon was released too early and that the coupon would be good next week in the Mississippi stores but only for a week and could only be used once (not sure if only one coupon or once per transaction) but wasnt sure if it would be the same coupon or bar code number and to keep checking back. If anyone comes across any new KMart coupons, please inform!

Elisa March 19, 2010 at 1:14 pm

I spent almost 2 hours at K-Mart this morning with my coupons and a few of the 10/20 ones trying to plan out good deals. I got up to the check-out with a full basket of diapers and all kind of other stuff that was going to be free or close to it and they wouldn’t let me use it first — I had to use my other coupons first, which of course messes everything up. Man, I am so sad it didn’t work out :( I went to another K-Mart and they wouldn’t take it at all because of the ‘Reward not found’ you all were talking about. There are 3 more K-Marts in town and I am contemplating checking them out, but it’s not so easy with two babies to bring along — I think the time it takes outweighs the money I would save. Sigh. I was so looking forward to stocking up on diapers for a year or something :) Oh well, I did use it on formula, which was a great deal!

Marie March 19, 2010 at 8:24 pm

@Elisa, Yeah sometimes our sanity is worth more than saving a few $$$$.

Jme March 19, 2010 at 1:43 pm

I went to a store in Portland, OR today and the manager said that the $10/$20 was only good in the New York stores and that they had received an email saying not to take the coupon anymore. I called another store 20 minutes away who said they WERE taking them, I made sure to get her name but when I got there I had no problem at all. I bought the large pack of diapers for $20.99 along with $2 worth of candy (to make my total over $20 after the $3 was taken off) and they took off both the huggies and the $10 coupon making my diapers $7.99!!! What and AWESOME deal!!!

Heidi March 19, 2010 at 6:55 pm

@Jme
Where did you go? I went to the Beaverton store and they would not take it.

Jme March 20, 2010 at 9:17 am

@Heidi,
The Gresham store accepted the coupons, I called ahead and “julie” said they would honor the coupon. Good luck!

beth f March 19, 2010 at 2:16 pm

used 4 yesterday and today here in charlottesville,va….they didnt think twice when it beeped! just pushed it through!

Denise March 19, 2010 at 2:41 pm

The manager at my local Kmart (Kansas City area) said that they were not accepting the $10 off $20 coupons at any stores in Missouri. In fact she told me that they were only valid in New York. Has anyone else been told this?

Nicole March 19, 2010 at 3:18 pm

I went this morning to kmart and got up to the cash register with coupons in hand only to be told that they will not accept the $10 off a $20 purchase. They said that the coupon was meant for Texas only! Kind of a bummer, I knew it sounded too good to be true.

Lisa March 19, 2010 at 3:20 pm

Got super deals this morning in PA, using 3 coupons in 3 different transactions. None of the coupons beeped, I used them before using regular coupons, and the cash register took them without a problem.
So later, my mother tried to get some items; they told her they couldn’t accept the coupon. They received an e-mail from corporate warning about the coupon. The store manager told my mom that ‘some lady’ was there this morning and used 3 coupons! (Who could that have been?) Well, sorry, we all thought it really was legit, it didn’t say 1 per customer, and it said it was valid at all KMart locations.

Madeleine March 19, 2010 at 3:29 pm

I just printed a $10 off $20 K-Mart purchase but it had NYC stores listed on it where they were god at. Does anyone know why it did that? Are they good anywhere or just at those locations?

Madeleine March 19, 2010 at 3:29 pm

@Madeleine, I meant…where they were GOOD at…oops!

Jenae March 19, 2010 at 3:56 pm

DO NOT waste your time trying to use this coupon in Wichita, KS. I loaded both my kids up, drove 30 minutes, just to be told that the coupon is “fraudulent” and they are not honoring it. I informed them that I will no longer be shopping at K-mart EVER…even if they do have really good deals. It’s not worth the hassle and it isn’t our problem that they have some major internet/website issues.

Pris March 19, 2010 at 4:03 pm

The old one worked for me, it kicked back at first and said “offer not found”. She simply put in a override and it was fine..

Samantha R March 19, 2010 at 4:05 pm

The Kmart in Logan, Utah is not accepting these coupons :( Darn!

Roxanne March 19, 2010 at 4:05 pm

It didn’t work in Michigan. They called it a ‘loss prevention issue’. I cancelled my entire purchase and left.

I honestly wasn’t surprised though, my area is very coupon unfriendly and all internet coupons are met with incredible scrutiny.

Another shopper apologized to me in the parking lot for how I was treated.

rosie March 19, 2010 at 5:25 pm

Well that was disappointing! I went and they told me the coupon is only good in the state of New York. They wouldn’t accept it here in AZ.

Donna March 19, 2010 at 5:38 pm

I clicked on the link anyway and it worked for me. I don’t know how.

Donna March 19, 2010 at 5:57 pm

I just tried to use the coupon in Idaho and I was told that they were a fraudulent coupon and that the real ones were good in New York only. Like usual I don’t think the checker knew what she was talking about but I was too tired to argue with her so I just left.

Crystal Z. March 19, 2010 at 6:15 pm

I tried to use mine in Washington and they told me they could not accept it because “somebody blogged it.” Maybe it was fraudulant but I wish Kmart employees were better educated on these kind of things… Plus I was harassed by a Penguin Windows sales person while shopping. I won’t be shopping at Kmart anymore..

Misty March 19, 2010 at 7:06 pm

It’s only working for 3 states

eileen March 19, 2010 at 7:13 pm

I was able to print a coupon, but it is for NY stores, I live in Pa, will this be honored here?

Ashley Dodson March 19, 2010 at 7:17 pm

They are fraudulent coupons I encountered the same thing in Missouri and was SO embarrassed. They had a sign up and everything at the cash register. Apparently these were made for NY only and the coupon I received was altered.

Amber March 20, 2010 at 6:46 am

@Ashley Dodson, The coupons themselves wernt fraudulent, they were just meant to be released ONLY to NY and Chicago residents. The coupon I printed said valid at all Kmart locations and I used it yesterday just fine in VA, didnt beep or anything. It is KMarts fault that it got out everywhere b/c they put it on the internet and it said all locations. These coupons werent altered, so dont be embarrased. KMart is always doing things like this, which is why I never shop there. Believe me it isnt the first time they released a coupon and pulled it later (last time they stated they didnt realize how many people would actually use the coupon!). Just the type of thing I expect from Kmart.

Dawn March 19, 2010 at 8:14 pm

How very frustrating to drive 20 minutes to my nearest Kmart w/ 2 toddlers, to find that they will not accept a coupon printed from their own website. If they aren’t going to accept it, why put it on the internet in the first place? Also, they could not get the Huggies coupon from coupons.com to scan either. I left empty-handed and pretty darn disgusted w/ Kmart. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Just got back from K-Mart. The cashier told me that I could do different transactions for each coupon. I got two boxes of huggies diapers for $12.88 a box and a can of formula for $17! I made sure to call the store before going to make sure they are taking it. My coupons beeped as well but they put in a system override. I saw at least 10 other people there with the same coupon!

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I’m just glad I called first before I hauled my kids out to K-Mart. Why didn’t some of you do that before driving miles and miles?

Roxanne March 20, 2010 at 4:51 am

@Marie,

Because MSM is not like deal websites. It’s very rare for Crystal to post (accidentally) a coupon that is not completely legit. She doesn’t post suspicious coupons just to get traffic to her site.

After years of completely free items with coupons, it never occurred to me that this coupon was ‘too good to be true.’

We’re already embarassed and frustrated. I left much needed shoes for my children on the counter after being called a thief. Show a little kindness?

I just went to my local store in Oklahoma. The cashier was confused by the “coupon not found” issue so they called a manager. It did take a while but the Kmart staff was kind in understanding the situation. The manager went back to the office, made a couple of calls, and then came back to the front with an email from her district manager stating that these transactions are for New York stores and they were not required to accept them. The manager chose to accept them in the form of me paying the transaction and then she gave me a $10 gift card for the store. I thanked her and then she mentioned that they would be posting signs on the front door for future customers. She and the team were kind in helping and resolving the situation appropriately. I never liked my store much but based on how they handled the transaction they may win a few more trips of mine over the big ugly “W” which is VERY uncooperative.

Southern California isn’t taking them either. They say they are fake coupons that are all over the internet and for them to be a valid k-mart promotion the coupon must have kmart.com printed on it around the boarder. The manager at our store was really hostile and rude to us. Which just re-established why we never shop at k-mart to begin and insured we won’t go back.

I am in IL. Mine was not able to get through either. The cashier told me it was FAKE, and then he told me this one is good for NY stores only. I got so confused. Kmart is really disgusting.

I was told it was for New York only

Sharron March 19, 2010 at 10:24 pm

Not taking them in Arkansas either. Only for New York state I was told. At least I asked first before spending time searching out deals and then being embarrassed at the checkout counter. My Russellville Kmart is not coupon friendly ever.

I used mine this afternoon in Effingham, Il about 3:30-4:00 and the coupon wouldn’t scan but the cashier rang it thru. She asked where I got it from if it was a Kmart website. I told her I honestly couldn’t remember which website but it was a Kmart website of a sort. (it was the NY renaissance website) I got 2pks Cottonelle tp on sale for $6.49 for 12 double rolls and 4 12pks of Coke for $12 used the $10 off $20! I have one more coupon I will go tomorrow to use before luck runs out!

Has anyone in NY tried to use this coupon? I live in Upstate NY and will be near a K-Mart today so I would try to use it if I thought they would accept it…

JD March 20, 2010 at 1:09 pm

I used the coupon at my local Kmart yesterday. It wouldn’t scan but the manager was very nice and they entered it manually. I went to a different Kmart in Chantilly this morning, however, and they were rude and uncooperative. The manager said they were only for use in NY and Chicago. He agreed to honor my transaction, but said they would be posting signs stating they wouldn’t accept them…

Shawna March 20, 2010 at 6:29 pm

I live in northern ca. they will not honor the coupon…..good luck to all

I tried using this today, but no go! :( They said it’s only for NYC. Oh well! Nothing lost :)

Ahhh…sweet success.

Hello Ladies and guys. Just wanted to share a success story.
Heard about this on my day off from my wife.
She printed 2 $10/$20 coupons, and I printed off 3 from work. Also managed to print out 6 $3/1 coupons on Huggies from home then work.
Went to K-Mart on the 18th evening. Managed 4 transactions – 1 a piece then swapped stores for 1 a piece there. This is how it went. 2 huggies $9.99 a piece. 1 filler item (candy for me, my wife got a bottle for the baby :) ) . Items rang through. Handed $10 off coupon. Ding, down to $11.34. Handed 2 $3/1 huggies manufacture coupons. Ding, down to $5.34. Ding. Ding. Ding. lot’s of diapers. (we expected some $2-3 “catalina” printouts, but those didn’t fly. Used Kmart tracking card/KChing card, but no extra money there either)
Went to K-Mart the 19th Morning. 2 more transactions with $10/20 coupons. used on pots/pans. (coupons).
We headed out of the store and got a call from my coupon sister. She said “Don’t bother with the Kmart coupons. People are saying they don’t work…they are only for NY or something.” I laughed and told her we got $60 bucks off in the last two days.
I feel sorry for those who had problems, and were called “frauds”. Your NOT!! If KMart or any other company wants to place coupons in PDF format, where you can print as many as you want, AND not state that they are good only for certain cities…then shame on them, for their dumbness… Now I’m not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but when that gift horse, stomps it’s feet at fellow couponer’s…well I look into it’s mouth…
So. Have a great day! Thanks Crystal!! Thanks sister!!
You all are the best!!
