Hi,

I’m a newbie and I’m wondering if you could please explain the math behind the Right Guard Deal. I don’t understand how they are getting down to $.45. I am trying to figure out how it works out that if you use a coupon on a “free” product, as in a BOGO, how it makes your total even less. Aren’t you not paying for that product anyway?

At my Detroit, MI location the Right Guard and Excedrin were not on sale and not even in the ad.

I’m starting a gift card challenge, so I’ll be looking for all the great deals you post to help me stretch it out. Thanks everyone for all your great ideas!

Notice on a “Shout” bottle I purchased at walgreens it has a sticker that is a rebate offer at SCJohnson.com\Value for 12 different Johnson brand items such as ziploc, windex, pledge, shout, etc. It’s a $5 rebate if you buy 3 products.

The Excedrin is a moneymaker. I don’t know about which ones have RR on them, except that the Excedrin menstrual at my Walgreens had a $2 RR sticker on it. It didn’t have a sale tag either, but it was on sale for $2.50, just like the stuff that did have a sale tag. It turned out to be a $1.50 moneymaker. FYI I was at the 24-hr Walgreens on Ringgold Rd.

The Goody’s coupon from 1/3 RP is for Goody’s Pain Relief. I just checked and they are seperate companies.

Better deal for the Trident coupon – Rainbow Foods double coupon days – Wednesday and Saturday here in MN. We got the gum free. :-)

I used the Walgreen coupon from the Feb booklet +$.75 coupon (clipped don’t remember SS or RP) for the Colgate 360 toothbrush & it was on sale. My price=$.75

Benefiber is on sale & when you purchase a qualifying product you get a coupon for a free stix pack (up to $8.99). Plus a $2 printable

Hunts tomato sauce is on sale w/ WAG coupon. Go to recessionpayback.com play the game & get a $1/3 coupon (mine took FOREVER to print). Final price = $.06 each

The manager at my walgreens said that a Register Reward is from the Manufacturer so it cannot be paired with a Manufacturer coupon. I have read your site forever and just got it together to try it out….and it didn’t work. I’m so disappointed! Did something recently change? The manager said something recently changed – so I did not get the register reward at all. I tried it o the Fusion razor…any suggestions?

Jenny February 23, 2010 at 8:14 pm

I tried to use the $s off fusion coupon AND the free body wash coupon and the cashier accused me of coupon fraud! It’s okay to use those 2 together right????

Jenny February 23, 2010 at 8:15 pm

I meant to say the Venus coupons. oops! ;)

Mari February 24, 2010 at 12:56 am

I was able to get 4 full size Gillette deodorants at Walgreens for $.32.
My Walgreens has the BOGO sale on the deodorant this week and there was one kind that was on a “last chance” sale too for $2.16 instead of normal price of $2.99-$3.99. I combined it with 2:$2/2 printable and got them all for $.32. Awesome deal!
