Thought I would leave a nifty way of donating money AKA “karmas” sponsered by Citi (bank) and Kraft Foods by just being NEAR a store. Nope, you don’t even have to go in and I verified it today myself. CauseWorld – http://www.causeworld.com/ has apps for the Android and iPhone. You get the app FREE in each phone’s “App Store/The Market”. Install it on your phone and you’re starting off good. Here’s what it does, the closer you get to location the location’s “karma” points is gray until you are close enough to see GREEN. Once green, tap it and you earn “karmas” from that particular retailer.
You can then go the the tab marked “Donate” to select a cause to “karmas” to. You earn “badges” for various accomplishments and you can see all your donations listed by icons. And for you Facebook folks, there’s even a way to add the info there too. Link inside app to do so. I maxed out the 100 karmas in one day – TODAY. It’s so fun but kinda slow. The intervals to donate is 2 -4 minutes per location. So if 10 locations pop up, it would take you a half hour or more to get the 10 karmas from that location. Not sure if there are higher karma amounts or not as I just started today. I think it is rather fun and I hope you all enjoy it as well. They are on Twitter as well. http://twitter.com/causeworld
PS – there is a feeds page in the app and online where it shows who’s donating karmas and where. Haiti is there but I can’t find it yet unless it’s a leveling up thing.
Sorry so long.
