Look what we got from Amazon.com today!

by Crystal on February 23, 2010

The girls were delighted to open up a box from the UPS man today to discover five entire pounds of YummyEarth organic suckers that I’d ordered from them for a surprise.

Thanks to a tip from The Thrifty Mama, I got them at a steal on Friday. All five pounds were only $14.88–which is a fraction of the price we’d pay at the health food store. Plus, I used some of our Amazon gift cards that we’d earned from Swagbucks so we didn’t pay anything out of pocket for them.

It’s a HUGE bag of lollipops and will make for lots of special treats for the girls… and maybe even some for mom, too! Thanks, The Thrifty Mama!

When you buy stuff from Amazon using your swagbucks, can you use more than one gift card at a time?

Crystal February 23, 2010 at 9:10 pm

Yes, as far as I know, Amazon has no limit on how many gift cards can be used at once. I just add them to my account as I get them and then wait to buy something I need or save them for a great deal like this.

Jaden February 24, 2010 at 10:28 am

@Crystal, I didn’t know you could add them to your account! Where do you go to do that? I get Amazon gift cards from a number of different places- survey companies, swagbucks, etc- and it would be great to keep them all right on my amazon instead of doing an inbox search every time I want to use one! Thanks for the tip :)

Nellie February 24, 2010 at 10:44 am

@Jaden,

to add the gift cards to your amazon account go to “Your account”, under Payment click on “Apply a Gift Certificate/Card to Your Account”, enter your gift card number, click “redeem now” and your balance will update instantly. FYI: your gift card balance is automatically used as your payment first when checking out, unless you change your payment type when ordering.

Hahaha – GREAT shot! :)

Joy February 23, 2010 at 9:17 pm

That is really great! My kids would have been just as excited!
I am new to swagbucks and was wondering if you have any tips on getting more swagbucks? I have a few but am not currently getting some everyday. Do you usually earn some every day?
Joy

Melody February 23, 2010 at 9:51 pm

@Joy, One way that I get a few additional Swagbucks per day is by searching for all the blogs that I check daily. Instead of going through my bookmarks, I just “search” for them through the Swagbucks toolbar and usually get 2-3 per day! Easy way to get them just by searching for something I check every day.

@Joy,

Hi, I’ve used SwagBucks for last year and a half and just love it. It took me a while but I finally got the hang of earning lots of points. Earning all those gift cards sure is a lot of fun!

You can read my tips for earning more SwagBucks — two post links are below:

LOVE the expression on her face–so cute!! And I can’t believe how big she is getting, too! (I’ve been following your blog since sometime in 2005 and so it’s been fun watching her grow. :) ) What a fun surprise for your girls . . . my kids are big lollipop fans, too, but we’ve never tried YummyEarth. I’ll have to check them out!

The Thrifty Mama February 23, 2010 at 9:40 pm

LOL, love that face!! You’re welcome! Glad you and so many others were able to get that awesome deal!

Kristen February 23, 2010 at 9:49 pm

I got those today too! I LOVE them! They’re perfect for satisfying my sweets cravings without adding a ton of extra calories, plus I feel better knowing they don’t have junk ingredients…and they are the most flavorful lollipops ever.

I love these lollipops, but for some reason, they give my son & husband the worst bellyaches. Not sure why that is & wondering if anyone else has had that problem
