Glad to hear about all of the good you are doing. As a Nurse my first thought was what can I do? I donated to the Red Cross in the first 24 hours after the quake. I will now be going to Haiti as part of a Neonatal/Pediatric medical team for 10 days. The thing to remeber is Haiti needed our help BEFORE the earthquake. They will need our help for years to come. I hope people don’t loose interest before the work is done. Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers.

lo on cash, but i am scouring my house for all items needed the most urgently in haiti, nd donating to our local haitian support foundation. also im putting ideas on how to help up on my facebook page, along with links. my facebook friends have been able to help more easily this way, so i feel good i helped to help. thanks for making a donation simply because im telling you about this!!

Haiti has received a lot of money, but it is no where near enough. thousands of people are dying from a lack of medical attention and medical supplies. Some tent hospitals dont even have anitbacterial or soap and water. My daughter is in 5th grade and attends a school where they wear uniforms. Today they could donate money to the Haiti earthquake fund and wear regular clothes. My daughter contributed and they raised over $500. We are also donating to our church humanitarian aid fund. They have already sent two plane with food, water, medical supplies, etc. and doctors to help. Thanks for all you do.

Donated through vbmb.org where 100% of doanations go directly to the field. All overhead expenses come out of their regular operating budget, not donations and gifts.

You are inspiring me to do more! I’ve been praying ever since I learned what happened in Haiti, but wasn’t sure how to contribute.

Now I’m ready to move on an idea had a while back. I’ve been saving all our family’s nut cans for ages. Now I have a huge box of them. I’m going to print up some labels for them saying ” We CAN Help Haiti and CHANGE the outcome!” Then my children and I will give them out to everyone we know,( keeping a list for weekly pick up).

In this economy, lots of people don’t feel they can afford to help much financially, but nearly all of us have coins that weigh down our purses and pockets, that could be doing some good for people in much more difficult circumstances than we are in, here in the U.S. There’s never been a better moment to Love Thy Neighbor!
