Recycle-bank

My friend, Rachel, over at Surviving the Stores tipped me off to a hot offer today that everyone will want to take advantage of! You can get free free Happy Baby or Seventh Generation product coupons, or many other high-value coupons just for signing up for a free account with RecycleBank. Here's how:

::Go here and click on the "Sign In or Get Started" button at the top of the RecycleBank page.

::Click on the "Register" option and fill out your information.

::Once you've signed up, go back to the homepage here and sign in. Your account should be credited with 100 points for signing up.

::Click on "Get Rewards" and scroll down to the "Grocery and Food" category in the left column and choose which coupons you would like to request via mail.

I just signed up and ordered one coupon for a free box of Happy Baby Organic Brown Rice cereal and a free bottle of Seventh Generation Dish Detergent. What a deal!

If your area is participating in the RecycleBank program, you can earn points towards more rewards by recycling. Check out more details here.

2 Jennifer Leonard December 19, 2009 at 3:08 pm

yeaa, I’m not seeing it here, but there are other goodies :)

3 katie December 19, 2009 at 3:09 pm

I don’t see the $5 off Huggies as an option, just one for wipes.

4 Julie December 19, 2009 at 3:10 pm

No huggies coupons. There’s a B1G1 free but it’s 300 points.

5 ashli December 19, 2009 at 3:21 pm

Wow!! I must have gotten one of the last ones!!

6 Amy December 19, 2009 at 3:24 pm

Yeah, no more $5 Huggies coupon. :(

7 Jill December 19, 2009 at 3:29 pm

How do you earn points. I have signed up but can’t figure out you earn points.

8 Greta December 19, 2009 at 3:42 pm

There is a $5/$50 Publix coupon!

9 dorothy December 19, 2009 at 3:46 pm

While the $5 off Huggies coupon is not available, I was able to request 2 Happy Baby Oatmeal cereals for 80 pts. These cost about $3.20 at my Target, so this is a great deal! (works out better than that Huggies coupon, anyway). Thanks!
I wish I could participate & earn more points. My city is not affiliated with the program.

10 Kelly December 19, 2009 at 3:50 pm

For AZ residents they have a coupon for $5 off a $35 purchase at Sprouts. It’s only 50pts so you can get two.

11 Jamie December 19, 2009 at 3:56 pm

Thanks! I got the $2 off Kraft salad dressing (so that will mean free dressing!) and two of the $1 off a Coke product (so that will mean two free 2 liters of Coke for my husband w/ a sale!) Thanks for the heads up on this!

12 Lisette December 19, 2009 at 4:03 pm

I can’t figure out how to earn points either! By recycling, it says, but how???

13 Amy W December 19, 2009 at 4:07 pm

I cant even register! GRRR!
I cant get past the address part!

14 Jennifer S December 19, 2009 at 4:20 pm

I used my 100 pts to get 10 $1/off coke drink coupons. These are usually 2/$2.22 which makes them only $0.11 each with 2 q’s.

15 Sarah T December 19, 2009 at 4:32 pm

I did 10 $1/1 Coke coupons as well. Yippee!

16 Chris December 19, 2009 at 4:32 pm

I thought the $2/1 casadian farm was a good deal. It was just 20 points and they are regularly on sale for $2 were I live.

17 Courtney December 19, 2009 at 4:41 pm

This is so great! I got five of the $2/1 Cascadian Farm. Thanks, Crystal!

18 Rae December 19, 2009 at 5:21 pm

I’m going to get a combo of the $5/$35 Sprouts, $2 Cascadian Farms, and $1 Coke. Thank you so much for this :) I wish my town did the recycle program.

I live in Kentucky (no recycle bank) but my mom’s recycling program in Nebraska uses it – when I set up her service they told me about the program but my mom said she didn’t want to bother with it – just wanted to do her part recycling – anyway after seeing this post I called her and asked if she mined if I used her account to which she replied “feel free” and it had accumulated her points from when she started a year and a half ago… so 856 points to use as I please!!!!!! Most of her points came from diet coke 2 liters, so I ordered 10 coupons for her and I’ll switch the address and order my own once I’ve verified the first set of coupons are shipped.

Thanks for the idea!!!!!!!!

The $1.00 of coke product coupons are awesome. I can always find 2 liter coke products somewhere for $1.00, so I get them free. I have recycle bank in my town and I can get 10 of those a month. I also have been getting the 7th generation products for free once a month. I’m expecting a new baby and I’m happy to be getting free baby wipes. Huggies also has buy one get one free diapers and wipes coupons.

21 angeline December 19, 2009 at 6:31 pm

For those asking how to earn points… Your area has to be signed up with recycle bank to earn points. Our city has it with our local trash pickup. The special cans are weighed to see how much you have recycled and you get points based on that. I get a ton because I recycle everything I possibly can. Besides doing my part to save the planet :) I save on trash bags and get the fabulous coupons. Talk to your city or county about getting Recycle Bank.

23 Michelle December 19, 2009 at 7:31 pm

I have recycle bank through my Trash service. It is GREAT!!!! We pay $4 a month, don’t have to sort a thing, and they give awesome coupons. I mean, buy one get one free diapers, that is about $10 and I can redeem it each month. So, technically I am making money on the deal and they are reducing my waste. I think that the “free” coupons are probably only for areas that don’t have the service available yet to encourage people to use it. Check it out, seriously, it is a good program.

24 Ashley December 19, 2009 at 7:33 pm

Awesome, thanks so much. I got 10 of the coke coupons!

25 Jeanette December 19, 2009 at 7:58 pm

Doesn’t work, keeps saying my e-mail is invalid. bummer

26 Challice December 19, 2009 at 8:54 pm

The activation code keeps erroring out and then the link freezes my computer? What am I doing wrong. LOL! Looks like some awesome deals to be had.

27 Rita December 20, 2009 at 1:07 am

what an amazing website…I am so thankful for this tip…thanks

28 Crystal December 20, 2009 at 1:36 am

Thanks so MUCH!!! Scored a free bottle of 7th generation all purpose cleaner!

29 Rhonda M. December 20, 2009 at 9:30 am

sad face… keeps saying invalid email, hmmm have no idea why.

30 Jill December 20, 2009 at 9:37 am

I live rural so no one in my area participates. We have recycling center drop-offs in our area but no curb-side pick up. Bummer. This would be a great program!

31 Jill December 20, 2009 at 9:38 am

I forgot to ask – are there other ways to accumalate points?” It says something about turning in old electronics. Unfortunately some of those things are pricey to ship/mail in =(

32 Theresa December 20, 2009 at 10:10 am

It said my email was invalid too, but when I put it in with all lower case letters it took it! I just recycled my old cell phone for 1080 points!!!…AND, you print a postage paid mailing label for shipping!!!!

33 Laura J December 20, 2009 at 1:15 pm

Wow-what a great program. Too bad my community doesn’t participate but I did get a free bottle of 7th Gen cleaner-if you haven’t used this brand, it is fantastic! I have granite countertops and its gentle enough for them.

34 heather December 20, 2009 at 1:47 pm

5 off 50 publix coupons are exactly what i need. awesome.

35 Desiree December 20, 2009 at 1:50 pm

I got free baby food and free dish detergent, awesome!

36 Jenny December 20, 2009 at 9:10 pm

I’m with you Jeanette. I tried 4 different e-mail addresses both in IE and Firefox and got the same invalid e-mail address error. What’s up with that? I plan on contacting them tomorrow while they’re open. Good luck!

37 Amanda December 20, 2009 at 10:22 pm

Excited about my free Seventh Generation surface cleaner! Thanks for this great tip Crystal!

38 Melissa December 21, 2009 at 7:24 am

How do you find out if your area participates in the curbside program?

39 Cris December 21, 2009 at 9:25 am

I got the $5 off of $50 Publix coupon!!! Love it! Thank you :) Merry Christmas!

40 Danielle Bradbury December 21, 2009 at 1:26 pm

I just finally got to finish selecting my coupons (we’ve been a bit tied up with the 2 1/2 feet of snow dumped unexpectedly here in VA!) and saw that the $5/1 Huggies coupons were back!!! Yayy!!! We have a 2 year old and are expecting our 3rd in February, so every bit of help with diapers counts!!! Thanks for passing the info on to us!!!!

41 Jessica December 21, 2009 at 3:39 pm

For those that want to accumlate points go to http://www.kashless.com It links to your recyclebank account and the points you accumlate are used at recyclebank. You get points for posting items you want to give away, or want, and you get 10 points for just putting in items you want them to contact you about when someone is offering that item. For instance I said lamps, so anytime someone is getting rid of lamps I get an email. I get 10 points for each item that I put for them to inform me abuot. I got 100pts for putting a few different things. There are other ways to get points on there too!

42 Jessica December 21, 2009 at 3:40 pm

Oh forgot to say you are limited 300pts a week.

43 fran December 21, 2009 at 5:21 pm

Thanks. They have $5.00/$40.00 Shop Rite coupons…that’s $5.00 savings a month…you can only use one a month. This is a great find. We recycle in our town, but the Recycle Bank is only being tested out in certain areas…hopefully, we will be next…this is a great idea-to get rewarded for recycling.
