If you were thinking of buying some games for your children or other children on your Christmas list this year, here's a very inexpensive way to get them.

Through November 14, 2009, when you buy $25 worth of select games at Toys "R" Us, you'll get a $10 Toys "R" Us gift card. Plus, there's a Hasbro/Toys "R" Us rebate which can be combined with this deal for even greater savings.

Here's how it breaks down:

Buy 4 boxes of: Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Ants in the Pants, Don't Break the Ice, or Memory–on sale for $3.99 each (eligible for a $2 rebate for each game, maximum one rebate per title)
Buy 1 box of: Connect 4 or Scrabble–on sale $9.99 (eligible for a $3 rebate)
(Buy 4 of the $3.99 games and one $9.99 game = $25.95 total)
Get a $10 Toys "R" Us gift card
Plus, submit for $11 in rebates here
$4.95 (plus tax and stamp) after rebates and gift card

Thanks, Abundant Food Savings!

Great way to get inexpensive gifts for charity!

Wow great deal!

Does anyone know if this can be done on line?

Can’t wait to get in on this deal!
The only “catch” I can find is that in the TOYS R US ad they have the rebate deal with all of the games pictured on the front page. In that picture they have the Princess version of one of the games pictured. If you read the fine print at the bottom of the rebate form it states that it does not include any character versions. Glad I read the fine print before I did my shopping!!

The website says in store only

I didn’t see the connect four coupon – is it no longer available?

I did this deal yesterday and got 7 preschool games for $.56 each!

I just wanted to point out that if you intend to use the $10 gift card on the same visit for a different transaction it will not work. Toys R Us has a company wide policy where a gift card will not scan for 6 hours after it is purchased! Unless your customer service will work with you better than mine would! Bummer!

the connect four coupon is at hasbro.com/familygamenight click on special offers and then the picture at the top for 30 of savings

At my store, if you buy Scrabble, you also get a Family Game Night Trophy (value 9.99) for free!

The coupon on the Habro site is actually good for the Connect 4 x 4 game instead of the original version.

I did the deal at Toys R Us yesterday and bought seven of the $3.99 games–all different– and will get $14 back from the rebate.

WOW! There are some amazing toy deals available this year. I’m buying items to donate to charities this year.

too bad we can’t do online. The nearest toys-r-us is a couple hours away :(

Since there are different versions of the Memory game, can different versions be used for the same rebate, or only one?

17 Katie November 9, 2009 at 10:04 pm

There are $2 peel off coupons on the High Ho Cherry O game to make the deal even sweeter:)

I noticed on the rebate form
note:limit one rebate per game, per household

Just got back from Toys-r-us. What a great deal! I was planning on getting two of the games for my son for Christmas anyway! I may go back tomorrow and do it again – totally worth the trip and now I have extra games to donate this Christmas. Thanks for the heads-up.

How long does this sale go on? I went to TRU today and nothing was priced $3.99. A salesperson said she thought the sale prices ended over the weekend.

21 tracy November 12, 2009 at 3:10 pm

does this work on price before coupons??? I have a $5 connect 4 coupon and want to purchase that.

22 JulieJ November 12, 2009 at 8:53 pm

I went to Toys R Us on Veteran’s Day at 3 Pm. The games were all gone. They said to return on Friday when the next truck delievery arrives.

23 Rachel November 13, 2009 at 9:07 pm

My Toys R Us (southern California) had plenty of games in stock today (Friday). What a great deal! FYI: The coupon I printed out for the connect 4 game was only for the more expensive 4X4 version.
