*HOT!* Walgreens: Free-plus-overage Kleenex!

by crystal on November 9, 2009

Kleenex-Coupons

Walgreens has a very hot Kleenex deal which you'll want to jump on this week–especially since we're in the middle of cold and flu season. Here's how to get "paid" to buy boxes of Kleenex at Walgreens:

Buy 3 boxes of Kleenex Facial Tissue–$1.09 with the in-ad coupon
Use $0.50/3 coupon here or from the 10/4 or 11/1 SmartSource inserts
Use $1/1 Kleenex coupon from the November Healthy Savings Booklet (will deduct $3)
Free plus $0.23 overage after coupons

You'll need to add in a filler that is $0.23 or more if you're only buying boxes of Kleenex, otherwise not all of your coupons will go through as you'll have a negative balance. I recommend that you hand the manufacturer's coupon first, then the Healthy Savings coupon, then the in-ad coupon. If you do it this way, you shouldn't have a problem with beeping or with your coupons not going through.

If you don't have the manufacturer's coupon, you'll only pay $0.09 out of pocket–which is an excellent deal on Kleenex!

Thanks, The Coupon High!

Where do I get the Healthy Savings book? TX

Sarah November 9, 2009 at 1:04 pm

I don’t see the coupon in the Nov booklet. The one I have is green and red with an ornament that says “Over $200 in savings inside. Is there another book I don’t have?

Kelly Hess November 9, 2009 at 1:16 pm

I have the November coupon Book right in front of me, no coupon there. Is the Healthy Savings Book something different?

Carrie November 9, 2009 at 1:22 pm

Has anyone here tried this? I don’t see how you can use both the store coupon from the weekly flyer and from the booklet on the same three items.

Sarah November 9, 2009 at 1:25 pm

Carrie- I was worried about the same thing a while back with a similar Band-aid deal.

The way it was explained to me is that the “in-ad coupon” is basically just a sale price while the booklet coupon is a Walgreens coupon, so the register takes both. It worked perfectly with the previous deal, so I’m excited to try this if I can get my hands on the right book!

Definitely give the coupons in the order Crystal mentioned so there are no beeps. HTH!

Emily November 9, 2009 at 1:26 pm

There was a Healthy Savings booklet that came out in around September, but it’s not in that one. Maybe there is another one. When I got those, it was in the photo section at the register at one store and only being handed out to people getting a flu shot at another store.

Maureen November 9, 2009 at 1:45 pm

My 10/4 and 11/1 SS has a $1.00 off 4, could I use this somehow? Store sale prices says limit 3. Thanks for any help.

Leslie November 9, 2009 at 1:46 pm

I have a separate Healthy Savings Book that I picked up at Walgreens. Anyone know if I need to have THREE of those coupons or just one for all three?

Maureen November 9, 2009 at 1:47 pm

Leslie, they only need to scan the healthy savings coupon once for all 3.

Maria November 9, 2009 at 1:49 pm

I don’t see the Kleenex coupon in the Nov Coupon Bk or the Healthy savings book.

Heather November 9, 2009 at 1:51 pm

There are 2 differet November Coupon Books available. One is located back by the Pharmacy area.

Mercedes has a picture of both books here.

Sarah November 9, 2009 at 1:54 pm

Maureen- I think it depends on whether your store enforces limits. The register automatically takes off the coupon amount for as many of the item as you buy. I’ve never had any of these limits enforced (for example I used the in-ad coupon to get 9 cans of tomato sauce last week although it said “limit 3″, and I got them all for the discounted price), so I think you should probably have no trouble if you purchase 4.

Khiem November 9, 2009 at 2:24 pm

The problem is that i have never been able to stack coupon. If there are 10 items in my transaction, that’s 10 coupons allowed. The system would NOT take more than that :(

Courtney November 9, 2009 at 2:47 pm

Hi! Just wanted to let you know about a great deal at Uddercovers.com. Get a free $32 Udder Cover (nursing cover) at http://www.uddercovers.com/ with this code:

cranberry2

It automatically deducts the $32, and then you pay $8.95 shipping. They’re so cute, too!

*****************
Money Saving Mom here: SCAM WARNING! Do not do this deal… unless you want your card charged with hundreds of dollars of false fees later on. Please do a Google search for “Udder Cover Scam” and you’ll see what I mean.

Thanks for sharing, Courtney! I know you meant well, I just don’t want anyone here to have to deal with trying to get unauthorized charges off of their card.

Maureen November 9, 2009 at 2:56 pm

Thanks Sarah, I will try it :)

Jennifer November 9, 2009 at 3:11 pm

Hey Courtney – thanks for the tip on the udder covers website – I needed a babyshower present – what a great price for something so cute! :)

Julie November 9, 2009 at 4:04 pm

I just tried the the kleenex deal at my wags and the cashier said they HAVE to take the wags coupons first before the man. coupon. I was able to use both wags coupons, but he would not let me use the man. coupon. Oh well, I paid $1 for 3 pkg of kleenex, 1 ocean spray cranberry juice, and a snickers bar (this was for the overage, but I ended up not needing it…hubby likes it in his lunch though). He was so patient with me as I had the wrong item for the coupon two times and he was very kind and helpful.

About the Udder Covers…I did it not long ago! Uh Oh! How can I avoid the charges? Anything I can do? Help!

Bayoubabe November 9, 2009 at 4:37 pm

I was not able to find the Kleenex coupon on the section of the coupons on your site

can someone please tell me what page they are on, or what zipcode to use ? thank you

Tiff November 9, 2009 at 4:39 pm

I don’t think that the Udder Covers deal is a scam. I got mine about 2 weeks ago. It’s really cute (the lavendar one). Read this: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f979-due-date-club-november-2009/1651098-email-udder-cover-people.html

*********************
Money Saving Mom here: Yes, you’ll get the Udder Cover–from everything I’ve heard–but then you’ll also very likely get a $200 or so unauthorized charge on your card in the next few months. There are dozens of reports of this happening and it’s just way too shady to recommend. Google “Udder Cover Scam” for more reports from numerous people on this happening.

I just feel the need to warn everyone to be very careful!

Brittany November 9, 2009 at 5:07 pm

Has anyone in the Cincinnati area been able to find the healthy savings book? I went to the Walgreens in Hartwell and they had no idea what I was talking about nor did they have the booklet! please help

mary November 9, 2009 at 5:07 pm

Can someone who has the November Healthy Savings Book with the Kleenex coupon in it, please give me the coupon code. My Wags lets me give them the code without having to have the coupon.
thanks :)

Julie November 9, 2009 at 6:20 pm

Udder Covers Info: It’s reported that if you paid with PayPal then you’re probably safe from the scam…I hope that’s true b/c that’s how I paid. What an awful thing!!!

Thanks so much for the heads up, Crystal!

Jennifer Covington November 9, 2009 at 7:55 pm

Code for Kleenx Ultra Soft 85 sheets is 5236-8

Jennifer Covington November 9, 2009 at 7:55 pm

Found my coupon book for Kleenxby the photo center

Lorrie November 9, 2009 at 9:36 pm

I did the Udder Covers deal as well. Is there anyway to let your bank know so that you are not charged?

Cathy November 9, 2009 at 9:43 pm

The Healthy Savings book here in OK does not have a Kleenex coupon either. Doesn’t seem to have a month on it but has a fall scene with a family on the cover. It was back by the pharmacy on the counter. Is there a different one?

deanna November 9, 2009 at 10:11 pm

hi i cant find the new healthy savings book anywhere i am in northern ky. i have called 4 of our local stores and they have know idea what i am talking about. does anyone know if you are aloud to post the coupon so that we can print it or how does it work PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

dana November 9, 2009 at 11:11 pm

I went to Wags tonight to do the Kleenex deal, and no coupon in the November book. Talked to a manager about coupon books available, and he gave me one of everything they had… no Kleenex coupon. We also couldn’t come up with any activity/coloring book for the Huggies coupons. :(

Cathie November 10, 2009 at 10:11 am

I tried the Kleenex deal yesterday. I used the in-ad coupon and the manuf. coupon, but the cashier said that she couldn’t ring the one in the Nov. Savings booklet (I found it by the weekly ads as you walk into the store). She wouldn’t even ring it up and said the in-ad price is a store coupon…
I paid $.92 each, which isn’t bad, but not as good as I hoped.

Stacy November 10, 2009 at 10:19 am

* I couldn’t find the mentioned coupon booklet either :-( .
* I had NO idea about the Udder Covers scam. Luckily I did pay with PayPal back in June and so far so good. I do love my nursing cover but I wouldn’t have ordered from them if I would have known! If this is all true, how are they still in business?
* For the Huggies coloring book coupon, our pharmacy gives them out to kids for free. It might be worth asking your WG pharmacist.
* Thanks for the good deals Crystal!

CC November 10, 2009 at 10:47 am

My Wags here in Chicago didn’t have them either. I’m going to try using the code w/ my super friendly BA and see if that works! Thanks for posting it, Jennifer!

Chastity November 10, 2009 at 1:35 pm

I could not find the coupon booklet in Colorado either- I have only found the green booklet which has no Kleenex coupon in it!

TYree November 10, 2009 at 3:10 pm

I ordered an udder cover, they sent the WRONG cover and it was very cheaply made. They said they would send me the right cover IF I paid the shipping on it. Their customer service was very rude. Not a company to deal with even if it’s not a scam! Just my experience but I’d stay far far far away from udder covers, I wish I’d never heard of them.

Michelle November 10, 2009 at 3:17 pm

I am a little ‘gun shy’ when it comes to stacking coupons or pushing limits but I did it today. I ended up finding the last of our savings books on the counter by the register. I started off buying 3 at my normal store and then tried 6 at another store and they did them all in one transaction. I ended up at 4 stores because the others didn’t have any more to buy and ended up with:
46 boxes of Kleenex, 64 oz bottle Ocean Spray juice, Ghiradelli caramel bar, & pack of Stride gum – all for $7.67!

joan November 10, 2009 at 7:30 pm

OK, may I am the only one who does not read the coupon b/4 I hand it to the clerk, but… The Q in the Nov book is only on the 85 count. I can’t believe I actually paid $1.09 for a box of tissue! Also, the coloring book Q did not work on Goodnights by huggies.

erin w November 10, 2009 at 8:14 pm

dana, i found the childrens activity book with the huggies coupons in with the clearance items in a cardboard magazine holder.
hope that helps!

tparral November 10, 2009 at 8:49 pm

Seen your post so was excited to go get my .09 kleenex so I made the trip. Senn two diff. coupon booklests but niether one had the coupon so I decied to go look and see if they even had any of the kleenex in stock before worrying myself over the coupon. As I went down the isle telling my husband that they have the kleenex only wish I had the coupon, a sales associate was behind me ease dropping. She said may I help you find something. I said yes I was looking for a certain coupon for kleenex that would make these close to free which I heard about on the internet, she says I have that coupon. I said cool, where. She says someone came in here earlier just like you and told me the code so I can ring them up for you. OMG what a nice Cashier!!! bought 3 boxes for .52 and she even let me get the 200 count even though the code only worked with the small ones, because just like me she thought they should have.

MVB November 10, 2009 at 10:00 pm

Couldn’t find the Kleenex coupon here in Delaware. And they were all sold out of the coloring book coupon book….so my shopping trip didn’t go as well as planned, but I did end up getting the Kleenex for $.83/box. I may go back tomorrow and look in the pharmacy area again. They only had the Nov. savings book. I did get free Ocean Spray juice with the additional peelie on the bottle. Thanks for that tip. The Huggies deal was an ok deal, I would have preferred to have those additional coupons from the coloring book. Bummer….I definitely like Rite Aid better. You can use the big store coupons ($5/25) before all other coupons….

Tiffany November 10, 2009 at 10:51 pm

The coupon is ONLY good on the 85 count. The coupon code is 5236. If you ring up your items and ask the cashier to input that code, they should do it. I would ask for a manager if they have a problem. My store manager says they don’t “turn in” Wags coupons, only manu coupons so they don’t have to have the coupon in hand, as long as they have the code. As far as not having the manu coupon, it is still an AWESOME deal at 9c per box of kleenex. I say don’t worry about the overage, and just get the deal at an amazing price. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

Cheryl November 11, 2009 at 7:34 am

I found the coupon book at my Walgreens in Missouri. They were right at the front of the store in the rack with the weekly sales ad. There were also stacks of them on the register counter. Worked out great! I think I’m going to go back today and see if I can get more than 3 per order.

Thanks for the deal!

Denise November 11, 2009 at 6:48 pm

I’m not sure if it’s worth shopping at Walgreen’s. It’s a hassle everytime I go. Usually they don’t even have the products in stock. For the Kleenex, I also didn’t notice that the Healthy Savings coupon is only for the 85 count. I brought up the 200 count package that you can get for $1.09, so I had to go back and get the 85 count. The cashier wasn’t happy about having to void the transaction. I gave her the mfg. coupon first, then the Walgreen’s coupon (making them $1.09 each). When I gave her the Healthy Savings coupon, she said I could only use that or the WAGS coupon, not both. She said she had already checked with her manager. I asked her to try scanning it to see if it would work. She said, “I know it will work, but I’m not supposed to do it.” She did it though, and it worked, of course. Then I gave her coupons on the Jell-O. She didn’t want to do both coupons for me, but she did. Then she told me that their bookkeeper said they have to scan the WAGS coupon first and that’s how she would have to do it next time I came. Anyway, I got three 85 count boxes of Kleenex and two boxes of Jell-O for 53 cents (27 cents plus 26 cents tax).

Cathi November 13, 2009 at 10:28 pm

I FINALLY found the November Healthy Savings Booklet at the Pharmacy counter. But like others have commented, it did NOT have the Kleenex coupon it in. I grabbed two just to make sure someone hadnt already grabbed it, but no luck. I wonder if its a regional thing? Also, I too couldnt find the Walgreens Coloring/Activity book for the Huggies Deal, I asked the pharmacy (where they had given them to me before) but alls I got was a regular coloring book. Oh well. I still I got a ok deal on both the tissues and diapers, which I needed and will use. AND my son did get a free coloring book out of the deal. :) Cant knock any type of ‘free’ ….
