If you have 12 Swagbucks in your Swagbucks account and you haven't signed up for Alice.com yet, you will want to jump on this deal!

Swagbucks currently has a $5 gift card to Alice.com available right now for only 12 Swagbucks! It's only good for new Alice.com members and you can only request one $5 gift card, but that's a much, much better deal than the 45 Swagbucks you pay for a $5 Amazon gift card.

And as those of you who have ordered from Alice.com before know, you can
buy at least $10-$15 worth of household products for $5 when you order from their reduced deals page here (you must be logged in to your account to access that page) plus their shipping is always free!

If you're unfamiliar with Swagbucks, you can read more about it here. Read more Alice.com here.

Tricia – did you verify your order from Swagbucks? Once you order any prize from Swagbucks, they send you an email with a link in it that must be clicked to verify that you did indeed want the item.

Then, you have to wait for them to send it to you. This will be an electronic gift card, just like the Amazon ones. In 6-10 business days, they’ll apply it to your Swagbucks account. You’ll receive an email telling you that they’ve done so. Then, go to your Swagbucks and click on My Account, look on the left for “My Gift Cards”. The information you need to redeem it will be there.

HTH! :-)

Mine just showed up in my Swagbucks account – that was fast!

@Tricia, you’ll get an email soon telling you that your Alice card is in your Swagbucks account. Log in when you get that email and look under My Account, then My Gift Cards. The redemption code will be there. Then go to Alice and use it.

Strange it won’t let me apply the gift card when I apply under your referral link. I have an email in to them about how to apply it. Those of you who already opened an account but hadn’t made a first order were you able to apply the gift card to your account?

Money Saving Mom here: I heard from Alice today and they said you couldn’t use both. So you’d need to open up a new account to use the gift card. They apologized about that and said they hadn’t done a good job of explaining that it was an either/or thing. My apologies on that, too!

I was able to get one today too. Thanks for the heads-up!

I got my alice code today, and signed on to Alice, but realized there was no way to apply the gift card. Then I looked at the directions on how to apply GC on swagbucks, and it has to be done during registration. Since I’d never place an order with them, I just opened another account. 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 boxes of tissues, 1 clorox, and 1 ziploc bags for .46!!

Tricia – I was having the same problem too – If you look under the Contact Information on Alice.com there is an option to “chat live” with a customer service rep – she was able to add the gift card to my account and then I just selected “Apply Gift Card” when I checked out. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for the info. I just used me $5 GC from Swagbucks and it worked perfectly. I LOVE your site!

Yeah, how do you apply the gift card once you have the code? I have a code, and can’t find where to type it in. Very frustrating!

IMPORTANT: You have to wait until the gift card is posted to your Swagbucks account on the “My Gift Cards” page (took 3 days for me) and THEN sign up for Alice.com, as the gift card code has to be entered DURING sign-up, otherwise you will never be able to redeem it. I made the mistake of signing up for Alice.com at the same time as I bought the gift card, so I couldn’t use it in my Alice account. To correct this, I just created a new account in my husband’s name/e-mail and I was able to post the gift card during the sign-up process, and it is now posted to his account.

I can’t apply this card to my Alice order – and when I checked on the information on Swagbucks for redeeming the card, I found out why – you have to have the card code in hand BEFORE registering for Alice! You have to enter the card’s code in step 3 while signing up.

This stinks. I’m trying to find a contact email for SwagBucks to complain – this information should have been on the order page, not just “you must be a first time user of Alice” or however they worded it.

Has anyone been able to use this gift card? Mine finally came through and it looks like you’re only able to redeem it when you open an account. There doesn’t seem to be a way to add gift cards to an existing account, and Swagbucks didn’t say anything about that when I ordered the card.

Kris November 21, 2009 at 12:40 pm

Doesn’t look like I’ll be able to use mine. There is no way to add additional gift cards to your account, not even during checkout. I didn’t know that and signed up before the alice card was in my swagbucks account. You only see how to redeem it after you’ve purchased it. So far it looks like you can only add gift cards when you open your account.

I’m going to email their support email address.
