I just tried to use this coupon and the cashier called over the manager and the manager said that he could not override the coupon for the face value of the product since the coupon wouldn’t scan in the first place.

For those of you who got a manager to override the value of the coupon to match the price of the trial size, how did they do it? The system wouldn’t let the coupon scan, saying no item found?

I argued the the coupon does not explicitly restrict trial sizes, he agreed but blamed it on the system not letting him override a coupon not scanned.

Any suggestions?

When your cashier gives you trouble, ask her to check with the manager!

My Target cashier tonight wouldn’t accept the coupon because it was over the price of the item. I also had other purchases & other coupons. I suggested that she enter it as $.98 but she wouldn’t. She tried to refuse the Target Chex coupon as well, but I pointed out that it specifically stated 3.75oz as the minimum size allowed. So frustrating!

My coupon said that it was only good for the 30 wipe pack…is that still $1.50 at Target?

I frequent the Target on Presidential Parkway in Macon, and the Target on Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins. Live in Warner Robins, work in Macon, 2 Target stores that I love!

If you print the Target coupon policy, it says they will reduce the coupon amount to the price of the item. It is available on their website. I picked up these trial size items with this coupon from my local (Western Chicago Suburbs) Target today and the coupons worked just fine.

I always go to the same Target, and 75% of my cashiers there just accept the coupon at full face value. The other 25% are not sure what to do when the coupon exceeds the product value, so they call a manager, the manager tells them to adjust the coupon value, so then I say I don’t want the product. I figure I’ll get it next time with a cashier who allows the overage!

I did this at my target and everything was fine. Of course, I added a few things with it, (and with other coupons) so the overage on the coupon deducted off of the rest of my bill. You might want to try that, it worked for me and I’m in Macon/Warner Robins, GA.

My Target won’t let me use coupons on travel/trial sized items.

Usually if the coupon exceeds the price of the product they only put it in for the amount of product. Ex. Product sells for $1.07, coupon is for $1.50 they will only give you $1.07 . Sometimes the cashier needs to call Supervisor/Manager to make sure. I know this happened to me at Target. No Overage is given there.

A lot of times with Target, I have to buy some gum or something to keep it from giving an overage. Cashiers don’t like overages…

I went to both Target and WalMart this weekend and neither of them would accept coupons that exceeded the amount of the item. For instance, if the sample was .99 and the coupon was for a 1.00 they refused it. So maybe you need to warn your readers that this no longer works.

They’re great for Operation Christmas Child Boxes too! And so is the TONE soap that you can get for free this week at CVS!! I’m stocking up so I can do as many boxes as possible!
