Nature Valley Granola nut clusters
I had a really great shopping trip at Dillons last night and can't wait to tell you about it tonight for Super Savings Saturday. But there are two deals I had to go ahead and mention:

Our Dillons stores (Kroger affiliate) are running a deal on General Mills Granola Bars that when you buy 4 in one transaction, you'll get $4 off. This makes them $1.50 each per box after the instant savings discount. Pair this deal with coupons or ecoupons (there are $0.40/1 coupons here and here and ecoupons here and here), to get them very inexpensively after the coupons.

The Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters are included in this deal so if you have the $1.60/1 coupons from the Psst! mailing or printed out from this post, these will be free after the coupons:

Buy 4 bags of Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters at $2.50 each
Use 4 $1.60/1 coupons
Get $4 instant discount
Free plus overage after coupons and instant discount

There are also $1/1 coupons here and here and $1/1 ecoupons here and here, if you don't have the $1.60/1 coupons. This would make them $0.50 each after the coupons and instant discount–which is not a bad deal. You can do two instant discount rewards per transaction.

I was so glad that I hung onto all 12 of my $1.60/1 coupons that I'd printed and gotten from the Psst! mailing. Sometimes it pays to be patient–literally!

I also found one kind of BumbleBee Premium Tuna Pouches priced at $1.19 each. I used the $1/1 coupons here to get them for $0.19 each.

See more deals at Dillons this week here and stay tuned for my full shopping trip report tonight.

I am wondering, too, what the limits are for the granola bars/clusters deal. I have lots of coupons and we are almost out of granola bars- so I am very happy that this deal came along! How many times can you do this per transaction/trip?

*****************
Money Saving Mom here: As stated in the post, it’s a limit of two per transaction.

Great deals!! Remember those Starkist coupons you had up a couple of times? I scored big on stacking those with the Meijer mealbox coupons and a sale. Almost free tuna, gotta love a deal like that!

What section of the store do you find these in? I am thinking my store doesnt’ carry them because I can’t find them by the peanuts or by the granola bars.

Hi,
How could you have gotten 12 of the 1.60 off coupons? Did they come with the free sample in the mail?

I did this same deal at Kroger (southern indiana) yesterday! I’m not a fan of granola-type bars, but I do like the clusters.

I found a Bumble Bee package for $1.00.

They also had Starkist Tuna pouches for $1.00. I used the $0.50 coupon available (http://groceryguide.com/coupons/printable/Starkist) and got them for free!

My paper says that there is a limit of 2 deals per transaction… so, I will be making several trips this week to take full advantage!

Wow! Thanks for sharing! We like to use those to top yogurt and fruit, kind of like a granola topping! Yummy! Oh my, I think I need to go eat breakfast! :)

I wish I had gotten those $1.60 coupons from Psst!!!! I did still have two of the $1.60 printables and some of the $1/1′s. $0.50 for these things is a great price.

ARe you sure the Clusters are included…..it says it nowhere on that section in the sales flyer…also, can you use an e-coupon and physical coupon on same item?

Jessica October 23, 2009 at 1:44 pm

Do you know if this deal will be running next week too? I already did my shopping for the week and didn’t even think to check if the clusters were part of the deal.

Great deal! I got 8 bags today and my husband is thrilled to have treats for his lunch!

Joan October 23, 2009 at 4:25 pm

Those things made me sick. You know when you eat something and it’s so good but you just know it’s not going to sit right with you? Well, that happened to me. Those things are so good but both times I ate them I got a horrible stomach ache and puked violently all night. Just thought I’d share that haha. ;)

Our Kroger affiliate is Fry’s. I got four bags of nut clusters, plus a 1.5 qt carton of Private Selection ice cream for 13 cents! I used two $1.60 coupons and one $1.00 coupon on the nut clusters. The thing that made it an even better deal was the cellfire and shortcuts.com coupons that were deducted automatically from my receipt. I had even forgotten that I had those on there.

Sarah October 23, 2009 at 9:43 pm

I am also wondering if this deal will carry over into next week. Anyone know?

Denise October 23, 2009 at 11:50 pm

The sale runs through Tuesday, but sometimes they do the same deal again the following Wed. through Tues.

Nui M October 23, 2009 at 11:57 pm

Thank you for this post. I went to my local Kroger and bought 4 bags.

Em October 24, 2009 at 8:29 am

I did this deal (or tried to) at Fred Meyer which is the Kroger affilliate in the Northwest but sadly, it didn’t work. Wanted to let you know in case anybody else was going to try it.

lizajane October 24, 2009 at 10:50 am

Darn! I’ve been waiting for these to go on sale, especially at Dillons, because of the electronic coupons too. I’m out of town for the whole ad period, so I’ll miss out…unless it’s a 2 week deal (*fingers crossed*)

Kansas Mom October 24, 2009 at 12:04 pm

For those asking about combining e-coupons from cellfire and Shortcuts, MommySnacks wrote a post on that explaining that the manufacturers and affiliates did not intend for them to be stacked on the same item. You can read her full post here: http://mommysnacks.net/2009/01/e-coupons-change-in-redemption-policy/. I know from experience that it works, but I try very hard not to do so. I prefer to use paper coupons rather than the e-coupons because my Kroger store will double them so I end up saving more money. I load the e-coupons only right before we’re going to the store and only if I do not have any manufacturer coupons, or if I know I will buy enough items so that I have one per coupon, either paper or electronic.

I stacked this deal with my shortcuts coupons and got 10 bags FREE and 4 boxes of granola bars for pennies each!!!! It was a great feeling to not pull out my wallet a the check out!
