Walgreens: Free Sure for Men Deodorant, Benefiber, Gas-X

by crystal on October 19, 2009

Dee Ann left a great deal on the Money Saving Mom® Facebook page this weekend:

Sure for Men deodorant is on sale 2 for $3 with the in-ad coupon
Buy 2 and use 2 $1.50/1 coupons from the 10/18 SmartSource insert
Get both free after the coupons

In these cases, I always recommend handing the manufacturer's coupons first, then the Walgreens coupon. It seems to ring through the register more easily this way.

And here's how you can get Benefiber and Gas-X free after Register Rewards at Walgreens this week (thanks, Saving a Bundle!):

Buy 2 Benefiber products at $10 each
Buy 2 Gas-X products at $5 each

Use 2 $2/1 Benefiber printables
Use $5/1 Walgreens Benefiber coupon in the October booklet (will take off $10)
Use 2 $1/1 Gas-X printables
Stack with $2/1 Walgreens Gas-X coupon in the October booklet (will take off $4)
Spend $10 plus tax out of pocket, Get $10 Register Rewards

See the rest of the deals and freebies at Walgreens this week here.

Am I messing up the math here? When I add 2 $10 products and 2 $5 products, it equals $20. Take away $6 in coupons and the total is $14, not $10. $4 for all 4 items is still a great deal though.

Money Saving Mom here: No, you weren’t messing up the math. I forgot to include the Walgreens coupons the first time around. The math should work now! :) Thanks for catching my mistake.

I’m sad…I couldn’t get the coupons for the Benfiber or Gas-X to print…

nisreen October 19, 2009 at 9:58 am

I used the $2 off pert shampoo from the newspaper, they are 2for5 I used 2 $2 coupons get them both for $1 and get $2 in rewards.

I can not get the benefiber to print either.

Try this link for the coupon. It comes directly from Benefiber’s website and it worked for me.

If you don’t have the SS from 10/18 handy, there’s also a printable .75 Bricks coupon available at the Sure website:

Where is the Sure deodorant coupon in the ad? I’ve looked through it 4 times and I just don’t see it.

Julieann October 19, 2009 at 11:59 am

I am confused……there is no $5 wags q in the children’s activity book; it is in the October booklet. However, the $5 wags q is ONLY good for the 58 dose orange, which is not included in the deal. So…..the computer would take off $8 with the October booklet ($2/ea for Benefiber and Gas-X).

This means it’s NOT free, but cheaper than you could get it on any sale. Am I missing something?

Julieann October 19, 2009 at 11:59 am

The Sure deodorant q was on the same page as the Pert q’s (in my paper anyway).

Bummer! I think that Walgreens deals must be changing regionally. In CO Springs we didn’t get the Sure deal, Pert Plus deal, Ester-C deal, and the Glade deal only returns $1 RR. Hopefully next week is better, this week was really disappointing. I miss my CVS!!!!

I posted earlier that there was FREE Benefiber and Gas-X at Walgreens. I am sorry to tell you that’s not the case.

My store had it all labeled wrong so the manager gave me the RR anyway. I am sorry for any confusion that I may have caused.

Benefiber 58 dose is on sale for $10 but is not part of the RR deal. Use the $2.00 Benefiber printable and the $5.00 Benefiber coupon in October Booklet to get the 58 dose for $3.00 each this week.

This scenario is a great deal-you’ll end up with 2 Mylanta, 1 Tums, and 4 Gas-X for $5.00.

Buy 2 Mylanta $8
Buy 1 Tums $4
Buy 4 Gas-X $20

Use $4/2 Mylanta coupon found in 10/4 SS insert
Use $1.00 any Tums printable
Use $2.00 Gas-X coupon in October Booklet
Use four $1.00 Gas-X printable

Pay $15.00, earn $10.00 RR

Challice October 19, 2009 at 3:39 pm

Are the coupons available online and in the papers the same ones?

Natasha October 19, 2009 at 3:52 pm

There is a Sure for Men rebate at http://trysurefree.com/

And a Pert Plus for Men rebate at http://www.trypertplusfree.com/forms/pertplusmen_rebate.pdf

Make sure you buy the product with the Try Me Free sticker!

Melanie October 19, 2009 at 4:29 pm

Even without using the $5/1 coupon, it still makes a great deal. I am gonna do
2 Benefiber 2X10=20
2 Gas Ex 2×5=10
Use 2 $2/1 printables plus use the coupon out of the October Saving book ( will take $2 per benefiber)
use 2 $1/1 gas ex printables plus use the october walgreens saving book for another $2 off of each gas ex
I will pay $16.00 out of pocket and get $10 back in RR
Sounds like a great deal to me

An All American Family October 19, 2009 at 6:15 pm

I was going through the paper and saw this same deal, but you have to read the coupons carefully because the coupon for $5/1 is for a different type and dosage then what is on sale and the other coupon is for.

Trish October 19, 2009 at 6:56 pm

Well, I did the Benefiber/GasX deal today and used the October Booklet coupon even though I didnt buy the orange Benefiber and it worked anyway!

Erin October 19, 2009 at 9:41 pm

Nisreen, the $2/1 coupons in my paper were for a larger size. It may have gone through but is not right.

So this Benefiber deal is not as good as first thought?

Stephanie N. October 20, 2009 at 9:32 am

The Sure deoterants that I bought were not specifically for men and it worked too.

eden c. October 20, 2009 at 1:27 pm

walgreens has some kinds of ecotrin for $3.49. use the $7/2 coupon to get two for free plus 2 cents overage. or use the $10/3 coupon to get three for 47 cents total. (i think both coupons were from two weeks ago’s smartsource.)
