I "borrowed" a tool that had an $90 deposit. I didn't have that much cash on me, as I never carry cash, and put it on my debit card. They withdrew the money immediately, but it took over a week to credit it back to my account once I returned the tool. Just wanted to mention this so that people can keep that in mind. But with being frugle and a guy I usually do all my own work on my cars. They also will run diagnostics on your computer, battery tests, and alternator tests for free. You will have to put up some money while you are using the tool, but you will get a refund when you return it. They also have a rewards card program which pays you $20 if you spend over $20 fives times within 6 months. (which isn't hard to do if you actually maintain your car) The Auto-Zone loan-a-tool program is great.

I used it when it got to -14 here and cops threatened to tow my car. Careful though because they told me I needed a new battery, but it has been going strong for almost 2 years.
