My Walgreens ad says a $4 RR will print when you buy 2 Theraflu products (not 3 products = $8 RR). Are there regional differences?

Courtney September 28, 2009 at 2:58 pm

This is apparently an unadvertised deal, Michelle. Several sources have reported this working, but I haven’t tried it yet. I may just because with winter coming on it wouldn’t hurt to get three Theraflus for $2 (if only a $4 RR prints).

Grapekoolaid September 28, 2009 at 3:07 pm

I don’t even see it listed in my ad.

Grapekoolaid September 28, 2009 at 3:09 pm

Oops. Sorry. As soon as I hit “post” I saw mine. My ad also says 2/$8 – $4 RR.

Tracy September 28, 2009 at 3:21 pm

You can print two coupons per computer from the Theraflu website for $2 off. This would make the deal almost completely free plus all of the overage in RR.

Sarah September 28, 2009 at 3:30 pm

Hi, is it alright if I link to your blog from mine about the deals at Walgreens, Target, CVS, and Riteaid? Thanks!

Lindy September 28, 2009 at 4:01 pm

Yes, this deal did work in my area last night. I bought 3 boxes (only used the WAGS activity book -$6) at my WAGS and got $8RRs back!!!

kelli September 28, 2009 at 4:59 pm

ugh all the coupons are gone. Anywhere else I can get the coupons? I would LOVE to go buy some of this. We use it a lot in the winter time at our house. Its already started this year!

yolonda September 28, 2009 at 7:08 pm

Sarah, what area are you in that the deal worked?

Stefanie September 28, 2009 at 7:28 pm

I have a general Wags question…I’ve been Qing for a month now and when I try to use RR on a transaction that I use Q’s too, why will they not work? Can I not use Q’s AND RR? I know that I can’t purchase for example Herbal Essence shampoo, get the RR and use same RR on Herbal Essence shampoo….but is there a certain stipulation that we can’t use both the coupons and the RR?

Michelle September 28, 2009 at 7:31 pm

I tried this in Minnesota and it worked fine. Bought 3, used the Wags coupon ($6 off) and received a $8 RR from Novartis. Great deal!

brookeb September 28, 2009 at 7:40 pm

I’m in central GA and this deal worked for me.

Sarah September 28, 2009 at 7:58 pm

Stefanie- From what I’ve read on other blogs, some (usually newer) Wags have their registers programmed not to print RRs if you use coupons. Here is a post I read about it: http://www.southernsavers.com/2009/09/walgreens-5-off-25-929-930/
She suggests finding another Wags that does not have this issue. HTH!

Stefanie September 28, 2009 at 8:30 pm

Sarah, Thank you for your reply. There are 2 wags that I had this happen so I was not sure if it was all stores, but there are 2 or 3 others here that I can try…hopefully one here does!

I am in NE Ohio and bought 3 Theraflu tonight and the $8 RR printed out. Thanks for the wonderful information! It’s very much appreciated. :-)

erika September 28, 2009 at 9:54 pm

Hi, I’m from Brooklyn, NY and my ad doesn’t say anything about the Theraflu being on sale or the RR’s. Has any1 had any success with this even though its not in there ad??

Erin Rose September 28, 2009 at 10:19 pm

I did this deal as well tonight. Even if you can’t find the $2 off coupon, I think paying $12 for 3 and getting $8RR is still a good deal – 3 for only $4. I bought the Cough and Congestion Warming one. I lived off this a couple weeks ago when I was really sick. The warming part felt good.

Lowbudget September 28, 2009 at 10:49 pm

Hi,

I am in Indianapolis, IN and the Theraflu deal on 3 worked fine. I got the $8 RR back!

Ahme September 28, 2009 at 11:16 pm

Does anyone know if the theraflu buy 3 get $8 deal works on any variety of theraflu? or is is formula specific. Thanks

Stefanie September 28, 2009 at 11:27 pm

thanks sarah!

Amanda September 29, 2009 at 3:12 am

Stephanie,

Because the RR’s are technically labeled “manufacturer’s coupon,” my guess is only one “coupon” per item. I know I tried to purchase some oxyclean with a RR and a coupon and the cashier said I could use one or the other but not both. Tonight, I did buy theraflu and the Halls refresh and used coupons on all items AND did get the RR’s.

yolonda September 29, 2009 at 7:54 am

I’m in High Point, NC and tried this deal this morning. It worked great. I got 3 bottle for $3.43 and received $8RR. I used the “healthy savings book for $6 off and then used a $3.50RR that I already had. Thanks for the heads up. With the season changing this is a FANTASTIC deal.

Cathie September 29, 2009 at 10:49 am

Ahme, I think Theraflu is on any type. I purchased 2 liquid (one night time, the other day time) and also 1 powder packets (night time) and the $8 RR worked for me.

Marnie September 30, 2009 at 7:50 am

Does anyone have Walgreens coupon policy (from Walgreens)? I have had an issue in the past where they told me they don’t take printed coupons and I would like to have their coupon policy handy if this were to ever happen again. Also, does anyone know if the Healthy Saving coupon booklet is still available in the stores? Thanks everyone for all your tips!!

Jessica September 30, 2009 at 4:47 pm

I got 3 different kinds and it worked for me!
I used the booklet that is back by the pharmacy and saved $2 a bottle!

I spent $22.12 out of pocket (after coupons and other RR). I earned $26.50 in RR.

I’ll say it was a good deal! Thanks MSM!!

Jami September 30, 2009 at 5:48 pm

The link for the Healthy Savings Booklet is not working…is there another way to get this?

Margaret Lauinger September 30, 2009 at 9:23 pm

I’m in MI. I was able to buy three and get $8 in rewards HOWEVER it was not on sale. I paid $6.25/ bottle. I didn’t realize this until I was in the car. Oh well. It wasn’t listed in the ad here either. MML

Ashley September 30, 2009 at 10:06 pm

I just got back from Walgreens and I did the theraflu made $2 profit along with the razor and Dentek. Everything worked just fine.. thanks for the breakdowns..

Luana September 30, 2009 at 10:46 pm

I’ve tried this twice in Tennessee. The Healthy savings book does not work. However, the three and getting
8 RR back does. The manager was going to adjust the
price to $2 since the WAG coupon wouldn’t work but I did
not do that as I would have lost the register rewards. Still,
3 for $4 not bad. Spent $38 today and got back RR for$38.
Plan on using some of these this week for the L’oreal B1G1
free products.

Cheryl October 1, 2009 at 9:28 am

Still working this morning. I used the $2 coupon from the Healthy Savings Book, and bought three different Theraflu’s. Love this deal!

christina barley October 1, 2009 at 5:44 pm

i have 3 questions! (I know you get a lot of those)
1. where do you find the Healthy Savings Book
2. where do you find the coloring book with coupons
3. how do you know if it is a monthly or a weekly RR

thanks so much

Amy Brown October 6, 2009 at 2:06 pm

Seems the store coupon was in the September Savings Booklet. The October booklet is now available, but it doesn’t have the Theraflu. Bummer!
