Target: Free-plus-overage Glade candles, $0.19 Healthy Choice meals, free BIC pens

I went shopping at Target today and came home with some really great deals (which I'll be sharing about in another post shortly). I was especially excited to find the Glade Fragrance Collection 2 oz. candles priced at $2.44 each. I used one of the $3/1 coupons which were available here last week (it doesn't look like they are available anymore) to get this for free plus overage!

If you still have any of the $3/1 coupons left, this is a great deal! For those of you who live in my area, Dillons had a 1-page ad in a recent newspaper insert which also had a $3/1 coupon on it.

I also checked the Healthy Choice frozen dinners and found there were quite a few which were priced at $2.19. Use the $2/1 coupon here and they are only $0.19 each.

Lastly, I found two different kinds of BIC pens which were priced at $0.99. Use the $1/2 coupon from the 8/9 SmartSource insert stacked with the $1/2 Target coupon here to get these free. They also had some BIC mechanical pencils which were on sale for $1.24 per package making them $0.24 per package after the coupons.

See all the deals at Target this week here.

So NOW I see this…AFTER I get home from Target! =) I did run into another one of your readers in the checkout line, however. Fun!

Our Target won’t take coupons for amonts over the retail price of the item. :(

Our Target had the 4 oz candles on clearance for $2.79 – so those were free as well!

The mgr (who was on register during my last Target visit) would not let me stack the manufacturer BIC coupon and the Target BIC coupon. He said since they were both $1/2, I would have to buy 4 to use them both. I tried to tell him about stacking them, but I don’t think it really would have mattered what I said to him. He was in a hurry and wasn’t going to take them. I’m still getting the hang of the coupon thing. In my experience, Target and Kmart seem unfriendly when it comes to coupons.

Yes, this is an awesome deal! I did it a couple days ago :) .

You can grab the 4oz candles at Walmart for free too. They are priced at $3 exactly!

I also see that others have been struggling with Target’s coupon policy – we had a run in a few weeks ago and were told that they are going to get even more strict with their allowances of coupons. You can read the full story here …

I have also had problems with Target taking coupons. I had a cashier refuse to take two internet printed manufacturer’s coupons. He said you could only use one per transaction.

I skipped out to Target today also and picked up some Healthy Choice Meals and some Rimmel Mascara for .29 thankyouverymuch! I also found some good clearance deals for Del Monte fruit. Can’t wait to see what you got!

The August issue of “All You” has the 3.00/1 coupon in it too I believe. Just thought I’d mention that.

Crystal, I called Target guest services about them not taking the organicgrocerydeals coupons and asked if they had express permission. She was going to transfer me to a supervisor but they were busy. She said they would call back and they never did=( I’m not sure what else to do. I called twice. My store is claiming that the small print isn’t the same. The word “void” that begins the second sentence should be on the first line.

yeah we have had fits with our Target in Hattiesburg as well. The Scrubbing Bubbles kit coupon a few weeks ago, the manager said no to the coupon because it did not have starter kit on the box. Later on my sister did find that it DID HAVE starter kit on the side of the box. My cashier let me have mine but my DH’s cashier said the manager said no he couldn’t use it.

Has anyone every really found out what the real corporate policy on using more than one coupon in a transaction is at Target? I had that horrible discussion with the manager tonight who expected me to go through the line 5 times to use all 5 coupons…uuuuggghhhhh….

Felicia:

I’d recommend you try contacting OrganicGroceryDeals and see if they have some official write-up or contact that they could point you to so you could show your Target store.

Your other option is to print up a bunch of coupons from the Target website when they are released (you could print them from the Bridal Registry kiosk at the Target store to save your ink and paper) so then you’d have plenty of extras.

Anyone else have ideas or suggestions?

Go to Target.com customer relations/comments section and write to them. They will send you an email back w/ their coupon policy. In my comments I specifically stated which stores were giving me problems and what was going on. I think customer relations is calling the stores, b/c now the managers and more cashiers know what to do since I wrote to them. Also – WAGS has the candles 2/$4, buy 3, use 2 $3 off coupons to get 3 free!

I have a written Target coupon policy if anyone would be interested. You can read the link here and then let me know if you need it emailed.

I got the healthy choice frozen meals for free! They are $2.00 at my local Wal-mart this week and they had lots of choices! I also saw they had the fresh mixers for 2.78. I paid $1.75 for four meals!

my target adjusted (because they were on sale for 2.49) my coupons but that is okay, free is better than nothing. No overage for me. No hassels for the glade coupons for me.

Target refused to use my $1.00/1 gemeral mills on the small cups of gm cereals. They let me use them ONLY on the “cherrios” because that is what the kinda that was featured on the coupon….. was so furious!!!
