Meijer: Deals for the week of September 27-October 3, 2009

by crystal on September 28, 2009

I’m going to be rolling out a couple of new features on my blog in the next few weeks. One of those is that I will be offering more grocery store deal listings with Mr. Linky’s. So many of you have been emailing me Meijer deals–which is great!–but I decided it was high time for a better system.

So from now on, Andrea from Mommy Snacks will be helping me put together a listing of the best deals at Meijer each week and then I’ll have a Mr. Linky at the bottom of the post for the rest of you to chime in with your deals and deal posts. I’m hoping that this makes it easier for everyone to find and share deals. And if it goes well, I’m considering rolling out a similar feature with a few other large grocery store chains. But I’m taking one thing at a time here… :)

Yay! Thank you! Meijer is my main grocery store.

Does anyone know if any Meijers in the West Michigan area still double coupons? So far I haven’t found any that do!

Meijer is my main store. However, there have been a LOT of issues with the mealbox Qs lately. Yesterday, the warm delights one didn’t work on any of my transactions. Also, it’s very confusing because it deducts it from the item on a line below it on your receipt *and* shows something like “cm promo 0.00″ on the top. You have to pay close attention when the cashier rings through the mealbox Qs to make sure your total actually goes down.

Also since Meijer only doubles 2 like coupons per order (ie, 2 $.50 off chex mix coupons; the others will be face value) so there’s no advantage to buying 4 per order; you’ll get the same price (.19 per bag after .50 coupon) getting 2 per order.

Not all Meijer stores offer double coupons. I’m in the Grand Rapids area and none of the stores from here to the lakeshore offer them.

Deals aren’t quite so good that way. :-)

The Meijers in the Chicago area also does not offer double coupons which means the deals just aren’t quite as good this way!

THANK YOU!!!

Look for the double-pack Neutra-Air sprays (they say B1G1 on the pack and are packaged 2 together); each one of them is also $1.50 and the coupons work for them, so you get 4 bottles for free.

I have issues with the mealbox coupons also, a cashier told me the way they print out the bar code comes too close together so they don’t scan. They always have to type in the numbers but with some cashiers you just have to insist that they type it in.
