There are lots of great deals at KMart this week and there's a Special K promotion I wanted to highlight:
Special K cereal is on sale for $2.50 and when you buy five Special K products, you get $5 off your order. Here's now to turn this into a money-maker:
Use 5 $1/1 coupons (doubled)
Pay $2.50 plus tax out of pocket
Get $5 off your order instantly (you'll need to make sure you're buying more than just the Special K cereal so that the $2.50 overage can apply towards your other purchases)
Free plus $2.50 overage
Even if your store isn't doubling coupons, it would only be $0.50 per box after the coupons and instant savings.
Thanks, Frugalista!
Here's another way to work this deal:
Buy 2 Special K Bars at $2.79 each
Buy 1 Special K protein shake at $5.50
Use 2 $1/1 Special K Blueberry cereal coupon here (doubled)
Use 2 $0.75/1 Special K Chocolatey Pretzel Bars coupon here (doubled)
Use 1 $1/1 Special K Protein shakes coupon here (doubled)
Get $5 instant discount
Spend $2.08 plus tax out of pocket ($0.41 per item after coupons and instant discount)
Thanks, Crazy Coupon Lady!

do you know it its just reg special k or any of them that are on sale for 2.50?
Thanks for the link! I also sent in five tokens off the Special K boxes for a $10 voucher toward jeans!
I’m still relatively new to couponing and am wondering, are deals on cereal are always so abundant? I’m certainly not complaining, but we have been getting cheap or free Kashi, Kellogg’s and General Mills cereals at Target and Kroger for the last couple of months. Can I start being more selective on these deals or should I use them to stockpile more for a winter “lull” in these type of deals?
I have been wondering the same thing as I am new to these free or very cheap deals. I have alot of cereal, razors, ice cream and cold medicine just to mention a few. Does someone know if this is typical for this time of year and later they will not be available? Or, are these deals available year round? How do I know when I have enough for now?
This deal did not work for me last night. I bought 5 boxes of Special K – 3 original, one strawberry and one blueberry. It’s okay – I still got all for $2.50…
Thanks for the heads-up. I got five boxes (one blueberry – had a separate coupon for that – two red berry and two fruit and yogurt). All coupons doubled and I got the $5 back!
To Brittany, all varieties were on sale for $2.50 at my store.
Just returned from K-Mart without much success. If you live in Lexington, KY, don’t bother trying to get any good deals. They will double the P&G coupons, but only up to 10. The Special K is 2 for $6 at our store, and there’s no $5 back bonus. However, I did find some curtains for my kitchen on clearance for $3.50 a pair.
Like others, I’m new to this and I have like 100 cereal coupons. Is this typical? I’m really tired of seeing coupons for Fiber One products, too.
I am a little confused about the jean voucher from special K, where can you use it? any store? anyone know?
Here’s a fun thing to look out for. I went to KMart today and picked up five boxes of Special K cereal and got the $5 off my purchase. As I was putting my boxes away, I realized that the back of the box had several $2 off the purchase of Special K cereal and one other Special K item. That would double like the printables listed above, and you could do the deal all over again! If you find those boxes, you could keep doing the deal…and with $2 off 2 coupons, it helps you stretch your coupon count further if your store only allows you to use 10 in a transaction.
