3 kathy September 10, 2009 at 3:22 pm: Okay, I went in and got a sample brownie piece each for my daughter and I but didn’t buy anything else. I wouldn’t have gone in otherwise if I hadn’t known about these samples. However, I felt like such a heel for accepting them and then leaving. Is there an etiquette for this?
Do you always buy at least 1 thing when you get samples like this at a restaurant, etc?
This was in a nice (rich) part of town too.
They were yummy but I felt like I was walking out of the store stealing something

Knowing we’d get samples made it easier for my friend and I to get some rare time to go out to lunch with all 5 kids between the two of us. (all 6 and under) They all did fabulously and it was MORE than worth the brownie and pumpkin spice latte samples!!! YUMMMMMM Fall is HERE!!!
5 Courtney September 11, 2009 at 8:16 am: Kathy, if you thought they were yummy and there’s a chance that you might buy them in the future (since you’ve now tasted them), I think their sample day has done exactly what it was supposed to. They gave potential customers the opportunity to try their products in the hopes that the potential customers would become real customers. That doesn’t mean you needed to purchase anything right then, just like receiving free samples in the mail.
