Walgreens is offering free in-store film developing today only (Wednesday, August 19, 2009–good for any one roll of 35mm or APS film or one-time use
camera) when you bring in this printable coupon. But now I have to ask: does anyone out there really still use a camera with film in it??

In addition, you can get a free Photo Cling ($9.99 value) today when you use coupon code BEES at checkout. However, this freebie does not qualify for in-store pickup, so you'll have to pay a shipping fee of $5.99 so it's not really much of a deal, in my opinion.

Don't forget that if you register for a new account with Walgreens Photo by August 24, 2009, you'll get 25 free prints. You have to register here in order to get the free photos. Choose in-store pickup and you'll pay nothing for them.

Tomorrow, they are offering 20 more free prints with a coupon code, so be sure to come back for details on that!

My shipping for the photo cling was $5.99. I did not get it becuase I really don’t need it. Thought $6 to ship was high.

We don’t use a “film” camera anymore, but we still have about 20 rolls left to develop from when we did still use one!

Lia August 19, 2009 at 10:27 am

I use film still…digital is not nearly the same. At all.

Shaina August 19, 2009 at 10:30 am

What is this ‘film’ you speak of? :-)

Jessica August 19, 2009 at 10:42 am

The shipping fee for the photo clings is $5.99.

I just wanted to let you know that I just ordered the Photo Cling and the shipping was $5.99

This is too funny. I’ve had a roll of 35mm in my junk drawer for a long time. Now’s a good time to develop it. Thanks!

Perfect timing! I recently found my old film camera, and it still had a roll of film in it. I can’t wait to see what’s on it!

Chrys August 19, 2009 at 10:52 am

You know, I have a roll of film still in my long forgotten non digital camera, so maybe it’s time to see what’s on it!

I still use film. I can’t justify the expense of a digital camera right now, at least one that takes a quality picture.

My boys take one time use film camera with them on school field trips (that way if it gets lost I don’t have to worry about it). So although we use mostly digital, we do occasionally have the need for film to be developed.

We used the disposable waterproof cameras at the beach and I still have one camera from camp to develop. So, great timing. I got the clings (with the 5.99 shipping) but I chose the 4-5×7 option so that I could send the extras to the grandparents.

My son has a camera that uses film. He loves it but doesn’t understand why you can’t see the picture right away! Their whole generation will never know what film is!!

Emily Kay August 19, 2009 at 11:35 am

oooh, I think I have an undeveloped roll in the junk drawer…i’ll have to check!

Mandy Finlinson August 19, 2009 at 12:01 pm

Cheapest shipping is $5.99 for the $9.99 photo collage cling.

I’ve been waiting for another one of their freebies to get a couple of one-time use cameras developed! :) (But no, we don’t use film any more.)

Karen August 19, 2009 at 1:31 pm

We gave our two-year old a one-time camera to play with when he wouldn’t leave our digital cameras alone. I’ve been putting off developing it, since I’m expecting a lot of pictures of the floor…but it looks like today’s the day!!

Vanessa August 19, 2009 at 1:36 pm

I have some of the film to develop….I buy those special cameras like when the kids were born that says It’s a Boy or It’s a Girl and each border says something different. So i’m excited about this one. To bad I don’t live near a Walgreen’s.

Thanks so much for your tips and coupons. I really really appreciate your time and effort. You are saving me a lot of money. I have shared your website with my friends.
Thank you.Amy

my mom has hundreds of rolls from my childhood sitting around her house. Maybe someday I will get to see what a cute kid I was!

Shelley August 19, 2009 at 3:30 pm

I got 2 8 x 10 photo clings. Figure for $5.99 it’ll make a great Christmas gift for the grandparents..so when you divide the cost by 2 (for 2 sets of Grandparents) I figured it was a pretty good deal and it’ll be a unique gift. I even played around and made it a “sepia tone” so it wasn’t a “normal” photo

I use a film camera I have a digital one also but sometimes find I can take more pictures faster with my film camera.
I went by Walgreens today and had one roll of film and they developed it for free and also had a coupon for a free Cd and go that also!
Nice to get two things for free!

blessed-with-3 August 20, 2009 at 4:19 pm

When I picked up my film today I was told the coupon was only good for the price of the film developing (not the actual printing fee). The cashier and manager took $2.15 off the total and I was still responsible for $5.84. Did anyone else hve this problem?

blessed-with-3 August 20, 2009 at 7:11 pm

Update to my above post: I called the 1-800 customer service number on the back of my receipt and was told that the coupon can be used at the store discression. I will definitely ask for more information before I use any Walgreens coupons at my Avon, IN store again.
