Your total only has to be $25 before coupons, so this can be a really great deal once you factor in coupons. The possibilities for deals are quite limitless. See all the deals at Walgreens this week here.

Common Sense with Money has a money-maker scenario here and Saving with Shellie has posted a money-maker scenario here.

This is nice to know because I plan on buying my daughter’s backpack for kindergarten there this week. And more Huggies wipes — now I’m glad I didn’t have all my coupons together the first time!

Ashley August 18, 2009 at 9:15 pm

Is there a coupon or does it just print out?

Alissabeth August 18, 2009 at 11:25 pm

so mad that I just spent about 30 bucks (before coupons) there yesterday….

agnes August 19, 2009 at 7:23 am

it prints out when you purchase the required about ($25) then to use the RR for another purchase.

YIKES! Since I’m learning the ropes on “couponing” can someone tell me if the Walgreens ad from Sunday’s paper is still valid? I just went to Walgreens.com and see the $5/$25 and different savings than what was in the Sunday paper.

Is this just a one-time-middle-of-the-week special?

Just went to my Walgreens and the $5RR for a $25 purchase would only work if my total AFTER coupons (and not including taxes) was still $25. I had a really nice store associate who was trying to help me make it work, but that was how it was. =)

Still landed some nice deals with the Huggies wipes, though! =)

I came up with a Pampers diapers scenario. It isn’t free, but still a great deal. Details here:

Two Dr. Scholls Massing Shoe Inserts (coupon online)
1 Carmex (coupon online)
1 Soft Soap
Total OOP: $19.57
Register Rewards: $10 for Dr. Scholls, $4 for soap, $5 for spending $25 before coupons, total of $19 back
Cost: $.57

Can you “roll” the $5? I had some necessities to get today and received the $5. Can I apply it toward another purchase and get another, or is it like other Walgreen’s rr deals that cannot roll?

Wow! Fabulous sale! I just returned from Walgreens and bought 15 items for $5.43, after RR & Rebate. Here’s what I got:

Fan 1/2 off, $20 ($10 Rebate printed)
8 Tylenol BOGO $4.89, used 8 $2/1 Q ($3 RR)
1 Tylenol Allergy clearance $1.79, used $2/1 Q
1 Zyrtec Children’s Liquid clearance $3/19, used $2/1 Q
2 Agent Cool Blue $4.89, used BOGO & 2 Wags $1/1 & $1/1
2 Softsoap Nutri Serums

Paid $36.43, Received $21 Register Rewards, and $10 Mail in Rebate.

I just might go back for more tomorrow.

Be aware that the $5 Register Reward f/Wags expires on 8/31/09 so you’ll need to use it soon.
AND you can only redeem 1 per transaction when you use it. Happy Shopping!

Ok… Can anyone help me?? My total was $25.16 before coupons, and my RR didn’t print… Do I call the catalina company, or Walgreens?? And does anyone have their numbers or where to get them?? Thanks, Happy Shopping!! ; )

Christine August 19, 2009 at 7:08 pm

Lena ~ was it $25.16 before or after tax? Your total needs to be $25 before tax HTH

Lisa August 19, 2009 at 7:17 pm

Lenna-
If your total was $25.16 BEFORE tax, it should have printed. Your total needs to be $25 before tax.

The Reach/Listerine deal must still be working… i found some on clearance and only added it to get my total to $25 and a $3 RR printed for 2 toothbrushes and one listerine! I paid .21 for those 3 items after Qs :)

Raki August 19, 2009 at 7:25 pm

I bought 11 Huggies wipes @ 2.79 and 1 Softsoap Serum @ 3.99. Total before tax was 34.68. Used the Walgreens $2 Back to School coupon and had a $1 off coupon from a Back to School coupon mailer I received from Walgreens in the mail (labeled as Walgreens Manufacturer coupons). Each coupon was applied 11 times. Received $4 RR for Softsoap and $5 RR for the 4 day spend $25+ special. All I paid was $2.91 tax!!!

Sarah August 19, 2009 at 7:43 pm

Lena if the $25.16 was after tax then that is the reason. I am not sure though if it was before tax. I did this today and it worked for me.

I got:
1 Softsoap Nutri Serums
1 Conair Hair Brush
2 Tubs of Huggies wipes (used th B2S coupon)
3 Reach toothbrushes (used B1G1 coupon and $1 coupon)
4 Kraft Shells and Cheese cups (used 2 B1G1 coupons and $1 B2S coupon)
Also used a $3 and a $2 RR from previous transactions.

OOP= $9.50
Got back $15 RR!!! ($5 for whole transaction, $2 for hair brush, $1 for Easy Mac, $3 for the Reach and $4 for the Softsoap).

Denise August 20, 2009 at 6:57 am

works, My total was 25.67 before tax. I bought 5 items and was able to use 4RR’s, got $5.00 back! Woo Hoo! Way to stretch the dollar!!! Thanks MSM!

Lena August 20, 2009 at 8:19 am

Thanks. I think that was it. There was a lot of confusion with the cashier, and I think my total was 25.16 after tax, so I should’ve bought one more thing… which is upsetting because I had another tub of wipes that I put back!! AHH!! Thanks for the help.

fregal August 21, 2009 at 4:41 pm

I want to know why my Walgreens can not keep the wipes stocked like everyone else. I went to 2 different stores a couple of times a week and never got any.
