Thanks! I used my Coke coupons (four of them) at my CVS, because Rite-Aid is out of range for me. With the $3 ECB’s that printed, it made each 12 pack $0.50! You’ll have to call your local CVS to see if they take competitors coupons.

I used my Coke coupon at Rite Aid today, and the regular price in our area (eastern Ohio) is $5.39. Ouch!

I’ve never been to Rite Aid to use coupons. Would someone be able to tell me if this would work?? Assuming our prices in store are close to yours:

Scotch Tape Dispenser $2.49
Colgate $6/2 (per ad)
Air Wick $6.99 x 2
Coke $4.69
Kotex $0.99
Sobe $0.99 x2
Total $30.13 +tax

Start with $5/$25
Use Scotch Tape -$2
Colgate In-Ad Coupon -$3
Colgate $1 x2 from coupon inserts
Air Wick -$6 x2 from coupon inserts
Coke -$2 printable
Kotex -$0.99 from coupon insert
Sobe -$0.99 from B1G1 printable
Coupon Total $27.98

Total OOP $2.15 +tax

Is that how the Rite Aid in ad coupons and $5/$25 work together? Along with the Colgate coupons from the inserts? Thanks for your help! I love this blog, btw. It’s awesome and has saved us tons!

Is the Air Wick coupon regional ? I am in Michigan and can not find in that insert :( bummer, it looked like such a good deal !

Mellisse August 12, 2009 at 9:30 pm

oops!!! mine fell out I found it. YEA!!!

My Rite Aid told me yesterday they only take up to $5 in Internet printable coupons. Is this true anywhere else or does each store decide?

Stephanie August 13, 2009 at 8:58 am

Boo hoo! My Rite Aid won’t take printables!

Gloria Brown August 13, 2009 at 9:13 am

My Rite Aid was down right snotty about taking any coupons, even their own!

Angel August 13, 2009 at 3:05 pm

I did a slightly different deal. I got two of the I-Motions, which were on sale for $4.99, four packs of Mars candy for 50 cents each, one pack of cokes, one tape dispenser, one pkg of Kotex liners, one clear eyes, one Renu and (I know, it’s bad) a pack of cigarettes. The cashier gave me the overage on the I-Motions and with the $5/$25 and all the other coupons I came OOP 27 cents + tax. Whoo-hoo! My husband was thrilled (especially since those were his cigarettes!)

The cashier at my Rite Aid told me today that they had received a corporate memo a few days ago that said that they must take all in store and manufacturer’s coupons BEFORE they take the 5/25 coupon. Bummer. Did not get such good deals this way.

Mellisse…I’m in Grand Rapids and it was in the inserts in the Sunday paper. Good luck finding a Rite Aid with any in stock though – I checked the two stores in Kentwood and only 1 of them had 1 of the airwick eye things left. And, the clerk told me that “Corporate” said you have to have a total over $25 AFTER your other coupons in order to use the $5 off $25, so it’s hardly worth even going there anymore, their prices are so ridiculous without coupons.

Try getting the Airwicks at Target – it’s as good a deal, if not better.

Kendra August 13, 2009 at 7:22 pm

Mine didn’t take internet coupons, even their own, either. Ridiculous! I left over $25 worth of merchandise on the counter and told the (very snotty) lady that the day for newspaper coupons is coming to an end so they might as well start taking them.

Their loss. I went across to CVS to do my deals there and gladly gave them my money. Is it any wonder Rite Aid has been on the brink of bankruptcy for over a decade???

Rachel R. August 13, 2009 at 8:00 pm

Our Coke was $5.39, too, which made these just within the range I am willing to pay, but not a great deal. (We buy Coke regardless, ’cause hubby drinks it – and only Coke – but I won’t pay more than $3.50 for it. Under $3 is ideal.)

SarahG. August 13, 2009 at 9:49 pm

The cashier at my walgreens also said that she had to scan all coupons before the $5 off of $25 coupon. It still worked after she scanned over 10 of my coupons! I got 4Air-Wick i-Motions, and abour $6 of other products and only paid about $3.

Andrea August 14, 2009 at 10:23 am

I called Rite Aid. Customer Service Rep Maria said the $5/$25 is to be used after manufacturer Qs. I asked if that could be found online anywhere, and she said she didn’t think so, started looking to make sure, then my phone blinked and I lost her. (It’s a really cheap phone!) But I didn’t call back. So, I may just skip this transaction, and pop in there for the tape and Mentos gum that’s supposed to be on sale. The Colgate comes out cheaper at CVS, and folks are saying they’ll also take the Coke Q. No biggie for me.

Del, I’ve seen elsewhere that Rite Aid is supposed to take an IP up to $5. Not a total of $5 in IPs. HTH

Becky August 17, 2009 at 1:23 pm

I applied for the SCR and it said I had to buy the tape refill, too. Did anyone else have this denied?
