Free Groceries from Kraft

Kraft

The super-hot Kraft promotion begins today (August 7, 2009)!

Through August 23, 2009 at ACME, Albertsons, Biggs, Cub, Farm Fresh, Hornbachers, Jewel-Osco, Shaw's, Shop N' Save, and Shoppers, you can purchase $25 worth of Kraft products, use coupons on them, and then get a $5 catalina back which is good off your next purchase. Plus, a $20 rebate form should print when you check out that you can send in for a $20 rebate check. See more details here.

So essentially, without using coupons, you can spend $25 and get $25 back. But if you use coupons, it can turn into a pretty nice money-maker!

The list of participating products is here. Michelle has the price list at Shaw's up here. Does anyone have deal lists for this promotion for the other stores which are participating? If so, please leave your link in the comments section.

Albertsons LLC owns the Albertsons in the DFW region and they are not participating in the promotion. Just thought I would give a heads up for your Texas readers.

Julie August 7, 2009 at 8:32 am

Wouldn’t you know, I don’t have a single one of those stores in my area!!

Keri August 7, 2009 at 8:41 am

Does anyone know which Shop ‘n Save? I live in the Pittsburgh area and I don’t think that catalinas (and therefore probably not a rebate form) are printed in our SnS stores. There is another type of Shop ‘n Save chain – I think in Missouri – and thus the reason for my question.

Tresa August 7, 2009 at 8:41 am

Has anyone tried to go to Sav-a-lot for this promotion? It shows in the dropdown list? That would be the only store we have in this area for this promotion. Thanks!

Bridget August 7, 2009 at 8:50 am

I think everyone should double check with their save a lot to see if they’re participating. My store manager said he nothing about this promotion and I heard somewhere else that they are not participating? Anyone try yet?

kate August 7, 2009 at 9:06 am

I saw that Save-a-Lot is on there. It’s the only one near me, I was hoping Kroger was going to be on there.

kate August 7, 2009 at 9:11 am

Oh yea, Save-a-Lot is listed on the “Store Finder” drop down menu

Emily August 7, 2009 at 9:28 am

Any chance this would work at Bi-lo or Publix?

Carol August 7, 2009 at 9:38 am

I shop at Acme and there are no Kraft products on sale in this week’s ad (8/7-8/13). Since this deal lasts until the 23rd, I’m going to wait and see what next week’s ad brings!

Jennifer August 7, 2009 at 9:59 am

Darn, I don’t have any of those stores near me!

Michelle August 7, 2009 at 10:15 am

Does anyone know if Dillons (Kroger) is doing this deal as well? I have none of these other stores anywhere near me. I do have to drive to St. Louis on Monday – would anyone know if there are any of these stores in St. Louis? I can try to get my coupons and deal worked up over the weekend if there is. Thanks for all you do.

Brooke P August 7, 2009 at 10:23 am

I still haven’t figured out if the SaveMarts in NoCal are doing this. They used to be Albertson’s. Anyone know?

emily August 7, 2009 at 10:28 am

Does anyone know if this is $25 before coupons or after coupons?

Rachel August 7, 2009 at 11:54 am

Do you think the Kraft Organic Mac and Cheese would qualify? It says Kraft Mac and Cheese…

Melissa August 7, 2009 at 12:06 pm

I went to shoppers today. Bought 10 2% naturals shredded cheese for $2.50 each, so my total was $25. Used 10 $.50/1 tear pad coupons which doubled and made my total $15.

No catalina printed, so they gave me $5 on gift card, and I’ll submit for the $20 MIR. makes it a $10 money maker.

They didn’t know anything about the promotion.

Janine August 7, 2009 at 12:58 pm

This promotion does not start until next Thursday, 8/13, at the Shoppers in Md.

Melissa August 7, 2009 at 1:22 pm

There are several qs floating around for many of these items and don’t forget that if you’re going toFarm Fresh that coupons are doubled onWednesdays.

Monica August 7, 2009 at 1:27 pm

According to the website it is the Shop n Save’s in MO not WV, OH and PA. Hope that helps.

Bridget August 7, 2009 at 2:22 pm

Does anyone know if managers know about promotions like until they begin? Our Sav a lot store manager knows nothing about it… but I’m still waiting until another Save-a-lot customer has a successful trip.

Jessica August 7, 2009 at 2:31 pm

If you use coupons wouldn’t your total be less than $25 making you ineligible for the rebate?

Jennifer August 7, 2009 at 2:34 pm

We don’t have any of those stores in PA, but I noticed in our weekly Weis Market ad that they have a similar promotion. It’s not a money maker, but it did get me almost-free groceries! Spend $20 and get a $7 catalina. After my coupons, the catalina, and the $10 kraft rebate, my groceries were almost free. :) I could have made $1, had I done it a bit different, but I wanted specific items.

jess August 7, 2009 at 2:48 pm

I’d also like a confirmation on the before/after coupons issue.

WOOHOO my store is participating. And I can roll this into the 10/50 promo too.

Terese August 7, 2009 at 3:40 pm

I’m glad to know because I was getting all excited…would have been for nothing…

Albertsons stores in Arizona, Denver, Dallas and Florida are not participating in the “Save $25 on Groceries” promotion.

Courtney August 7, 2009 at 3:53 pm

Michelle, yes, we have Shop ‘n Saves in St Louis, MO.

Leah Rockwell August 7, 2009 at 4:10 pm

Yes, I just tried this deal in D/FW at Albertsons, and nothing…so I had to return all my groceries :(

MyPennyPile.com August 7, 2009 at 4:13 pm

I called my local Save-A-Lot whom called their corporate office. Save-A-Lot will be removed from the Kraft list today due to a communication error (according to my store) Apparently my Save-A-Lot does not even have Catalina coupon printers.

davina delong August 7, 2009 at 5:19 pm

YES PLEASE CALL YOUR STORE BEFORE YOU GO !!!!!!!!! None of my local Shop n Saves or Save-A-lot stores are doing this rebate offer in WV.

lp August 7, 2009 at 5:29 pm

I live in Philadelphia, Pa and my local ACME definetely participates, I had a little coupon that printed at the checkout that said that.

heather August 7, 2009 at 6:38 pm

I tried it at Shopper’s Food Warehouse in Maryland and it worked. 25 dollars was before coupons- I used coupons and the total I paid out of pocket was about 22.00, but the before coupon price was over 25!! Great deal!!
The rebate form and the $5 off coupon prints out after you pay!!

Andrea August 7, 2009 at 6:57 pm

I tried it at Cub Foods…made sure the items were right size/brand, had no coupons, made sure the total was $25 (it was actually a few cents over)…no catalina or rebate printed. The customer service people and the manager knew nothing about it. But—the manager gave me the $25 cash and said he’d find out from Kraft what was going on!!!

Melinda August 7, 2009 at 7:12 pm

Worked perfectly at Albertsons in Seattle WA!

Lisa August 7, 2009 at 8:57 pm

My Sav-a-lot was not aware of the promotion, so I offered them a copy of the online advertisment, and they were checking into it with their corporate office. Like the other stores mentioned above, they don’t have the means to print out catalinas. They took my phone number, and will call me when they get an answer.

Jessica August 8, 2009 at 6:41 am

I went to a St. Louis Shop N Save last night. I checked with the CS desk beforehand, and they didn’t know anything about it; but the cashier said she had seen them printing all day.

Almost everything I bought was on sale, and I had $6.00 in coupons. My total came to $28.80 after coupons, so I’ll get most of that back!

Cindy August 8, 2009 at 7:25 am

I have called Cub Foods to talk to a manager and they said they would look into it. I tried to call Kraft and they are closed on the weekends to see what is going on. I would wait a few days to see if they get it all worked out.

Becky August 8, 2009 at 3:43 pm

The Albertson’s by me (La Mirada, CA – southern california) is doing a similar deal, but it’s only $10 rebate instead of $20. I don’t remember the other part, but didn’t participate in it because with the last deal and everything i needed, i reached the budget for the month.

Amy F August 8, 2009 at 5:54 pm

I went to our local Jewel-Osco yesterday and the forms did not print out. However, I spoke to one of the managers afterwards and she looked and said it should have printed out based on the information she had about the promotion going on. Based on the info she got from Kraft it said if the things didn’t print that she needed to submit my name and mailing address to them via email and they will send the stuff out to me by mail. Sure hope that is what happens!

Kristy August 9, 2009 at 6:40 am

I have a Shoppers in my area, so I was thinking about trying this. I was planning on asking customer service if they run the promotion before I go, but should I ask them if $25 has to be after coupons? I’m afraid they will say of course, after coupons. But, it looks like Heather had success in MD. I’m in Virginia. Thoughts anyone?

Michelle August 9, 2009 at 7:03 am

One of our more local chains is doing this promotion but they aren’t doing the $5 catalina. Just the $20 mail-in portion. Their front page ad screams in large letters buy $20 of kraft products and get a $20 MIR form from the cashier. So it looks like they can personalize it. They do have catalina machines at this store so I wonder if the $5 thing will come out or not. Guess we will find out later today.
It’s Super One Foods, it’s a Upper Penisula MI chain.
