I actually think that you are limited to 2 prints of the Starkist coupon per computer, period. I’ve played every day and I’ve only been able to print it twice. The last couple of days, it tells me that my primt limit has been reached. I think it uses regular bricks technology and limits it to 2 prints per IP address. :( Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s just my experience.

I don’t believe the Starkist MQ is resetting every day :(
I think the game is the only part that is resetting.

Is anyone else having trouble using printable coupons at Super Target stores?? Every time i go in and try to get some of the deals i see listed the cashier gives me a hard time because some of the things i am getting end up being free. It really bothers me. Am i the only one???

Candice August 18, 2009 at 6:21 pm

The nutrigrain coupon was for $1/2 not 1, so it would be $1.39.

Kristina August 18, 2009 at 6:45 pm

The Starkist pouches for $1.33 are not over 11oz. (they are just under 3oz.), so you have to use the $1/3 Target coupon.

I went to Target and was only able to get 4 item s- the reason, because the items were .99 and the coupons were 1. So it was “technically’ more than the actual item? Does anyone know how to tackel that?

On the other hand I was able to get 6 Rotini pasta and two Steak 1 sauses for free – so it’s not that bad

robin roberts August 18, 2009 at 8:03 pm

no heather you are not the only one… i just tried at my local target for the cereal and the bread and they wouldnt let me use the target coupons because as she said” they would end up being free then and they cant have that” … i then told them they need to reword their coupons then because they dont say that you cant use on the individual breads or the cup size cereals… robin

I am sure many of you have heard this before, but I try to find one cashier that is super friendly and will push through coupons even if they beep or say the item isn’t there. I have one at each of the two locations closest to me that I can go to to make sure I always get the great deals. Granted, don’t abuse it, make sure you are getting items that the coupons are intended for, but experiment with different cashiers if you can and see if you can remember faces or names of the friendly ones. Good luck all!

Melanie C. August 18, 2009 at 10:16 pm

I agree with Sarah, that you should try to find a few teammates at Target that are more friendly and seem happier about their job. Also, if they won’t let you use the target cereal coupons on the cereal cups- keep your eye on competitor adds for an entire box of cereal, then use your coupons. Example: box of Cheerios were 1.49 at Price Chopper this week. Took that to Target, with the price match and coupon it was .49 for a whole box, rather than free for the individual cup. lots more for your money- and still using their coupon.
I have used the artisan bread coupons this week for 2 free breads and used 4 cereal coupons as well. I just try not to buy too many of the freebies in one transaction.

Lindsay August 18, 2009 at 11:08 pm

I am so upset with my local Target. I can not get any of their cashiers to except my coupons that will make my item free. They told me if the coupon beeps I am not able to use that coupon. =(

Rae August 19, 2009 at 12:01 am

The artisan bread coupon does not even beep. They have that particular one (just like last time it was out) programmed to automatically adjust down to $.99 so to me that means they know that people might use it on the individuals. I can’t believe your cashier wouldn’t even try it. I had a lot of trouble today (not on the bread coupon though) w/ my coupons and trial sizes and also clearance items because they were less than the coupon. The lady was nice so I was patient with here while she called over 2 people (at 2 different times) to figure out what to do.

For the question on what to do, email Target asking questions about what coupons that they accept and they will write you back w/ the policy which clearly states that if the coupon is greater than the cost, it will beep but they will manually adjust it down. Then print it out and keep it in your coupon holder.

Rick Carstens August 19, 2009 at 6:05 am

well i also face this problem… and even the friendliest cashier pretend to be helpless when they see the printed coupons… this makes me really annoying.

Carol Wright August 19, 2009 at 11:02 am

have any of you tried going to the CS desk and asking them to help you understand the best way to use your coupons and that this is your existing understanding of the coupon policy but you want to understand the way it actually is so that you can avoid problems?

or if you find one cashier who is especially coupon friendly – SAVE YOUR RECEIPT! It has the cashiers name on it! ;)

Judy August 19, 2009 at 12:42 pm

Add one more to the list that wouldn’t allow coupons that would make the product free. They insisted the cereal coupon had to be for a box of cereal not the individual size because there was a picture of a box on the coupon. Very frustrating.

Kara August 19, 2009 at 3:02 pm

Oh boy… I had a very interesting experience yesterday at Target, with all of the scenarios above… I had a rain check for the AirWick $5.99 air fresheners from last week, and they refused to use my coupon because the picture on the coupon is not exactly the same, even though the description, etc. was. I tried to be as polite as possible – but they were very rude and treated me like a criminal. When I got home I emailed corporate and they have a call in… I will see what comes of it. :( Although they did send me the coupon policy, which is printed and neatly tucked into my coupon binder.

Kelly August 19, 2009 at 8:39 pm

I found 42 ox bottles Oxi Clean marked down to $2.14 each plus used the $1 coupon from 7/26 SS today at Target!

Lesley August 19, 2009 at 9:49 pm

I was able to use the .55 honey nut cheerio coupon(I printed it from the link under the Kroger deal) along with the Target $1 coupon for free plus overage on the cereal cups. I used four of each coupon with no questions.

Amanda August 19, 2009 at 10:55 pm

I went to Target today and was able to get the Skittles without a problem as well as trial sizes of the Tide and Head & Shoulders from the previous post… There was a problem with the Skittles coupon but the cashier asked if I had the right variety and showed him that I did and he rang it through.

Ashley August 20, 2009 at 10:21 am

I went to my local SuperTarget today and the cashier refused to accept my general mills 1/1 on a single serve cup. She claimed that the computer will not allow her accept it.

Marla August 20, 2009 at 9:44 pm

I am glad to know that I was not the only one that had a problem at Target. They refused to take any of the trial size items that I tried and would never take two coupons for one item. I could not get the Kellogg’s items, Baked lays, etc. Is it included in the policy that they should take the target coupon and manufactors coupon?

Jeannie August 20, 2009 at 10:02 pm

I am very new to couponing & am trying to get the hang of it by purchasing a few things per transaction. I was very frustrated at Target today when I tried to purchase the Skittles. The cashier told me that they can’t take a coupon for something that doesn’t cost as much as the coupon – that it just doesn’t work. She spoke to her superior & they ended up running it thru but she said they are really not supposed to. I guess I will try to get a hold of their coupon policy like someone above mentioned.

Nicole August 21, 2009 at 8:38 am

I made a last minute decision to run to Target yesterday after I left work before I picked up the kids. I put together my coupons in a few minutes and went shopping. Thanks to the help of your posts I was totally shocked to see the result. I bought the following:
2 Electrosol 15 ct 3in1 tabs
3 skittles
4 8ct poptarts
4 boxes Kelloggs Cinnabon bars
1 Hillshire Farms lunchmeat
6 General Mills Single Serve Cereals
3 Trial Size Clean & Clear Morning Burst
5 Crest Advanced Whitening Strips
4 T.S. Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads
5 T.S. Head & Shoulders
2 Carmex lip balms
2 Del Monte Fruit Chillers Tubes

I had coupons for everything and some were even stacked with Target Coupons. To my utter amazement my OOP was a whopping 22 cents!!! The cashiers even cheered and clapped. Between this trip to Target and Kmart doubles this week it was an AWESOME week. Thanks for all the information. I am relatively new at this (since January) and appreciate all the help. Without you it would be so much harder!!

Brooke August 22, 2009 at 1:48 pm

Stand your ground at Target. I had a copy of their coupon policy in hand with me and they would still not honor my coupons. It took a call into Target Corporate and the Store Manager to get it resolved. The store manager was very nice and said they even just had training on their coupon policy! It sounds like many Targets need to re-train!

Gretchen August 23, 2009 at 3:28 pm

I noticed this week that at the base/front of the check stand, there is a panel that runs sideways along the candy display, it reads something like “Target will be happy to accept one manufacturer and one Target coupon per item.” Even with that printed RIGHT next to her register, the cashier still gave me a hard time about stacking coupons. Oh, and no luck on the trial size with $1 off, either.

maggie August 24, 2009 at 2:28 pm

I had the same problem at my Target a couple months ago. The cashier was very rude when I tried to use the Banana Boat coupons and Degree coupons. I called
corporate right from the store. The customer service rep at guest relations told me to the hand the phone to the cashier. After the cashier spoke with guest relations, I had no problem. However, I haven’t gone back there with coupons again because originally I was humiliated
because she was carrying on as if I was a criminal.

Kathleen August 24, 2009 at 5:10 pm

When I tried to print the Baked Lay’s manufacturer’s coupon, it said they are no longer available.

AnnMarie Hofer August 26, 2009 at 12:17 am

Tried to do the Johnsons Soap and Gerber Bottles at two different Targets in Fresno and was not allowed to do more than one. The coupon says one per transaction, but does that mean I have to do totally different transactions or is it one per item? I offered to do another transaction and was told no because it defeats the purpose on one per transaction. What is that about???? Calling Corp. tomorrow to see what they say. What a waste of time.
