McDonald's is advertising here that they are giving away a free Iced Mocha (7 oz.) or Hot Mocha (8 oz.) every Monday from July 13, 2009 through August 3, 2009 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m at participating locations.
From everything I could gather on the website, this should be a nationwide promotion. However, McDonald's stores are notorious for not knowing about promotions even if it's advertised as a nationwide thing. So, I would strongly encourage you to contact your local McDonald's stores to see if they are participating before making a special trip for free mocha.
Let us know what you find out as I'm curious to see if they might be breaking tradition this time around and be more "on the ball" in the majority of their stores when it comes to knowing what promotions they are supposed to be running!

I actually went through the drive thru at the local McDonald’s this morning and they had a big banner on the side of the building advertising Free Mocha Mondays!
I actually saw a sign advertising this in my McDonald’s here in southeast Michigan, but haven’t taken them up on it yet.
I actually tweeted about this on Monday. I surprisingly got one on my way through the drive thru after seeing the sign. But, as I tweeted some came back and said their McD’s said it started next week which is what the site said. My McD’s obviously started a week early.
I live in Southern Indiana on the Kentucky border. I input several zip codes around me and none of them are working.
Just an FYI for those in IL or IN, the coupon is for a free coffee “with any purchase.”

My local McDonalds had a sign saying free iced Mocha or Latte samples this week from 7 am till 10 am.
It’s a sample, not a full size drink.
This is what the message says for the coupon – “This website is only applicable for restaurants located in Kentuckiana, Central Indiana, Peoria/Bloomington, Champaign, Decatur, Springfield and surrounding areas in Central Illinois”
It does say it’s a “sample”, but at 8 oz for hot, and 7 oz. for iced, those are pretty large samples! Our Mcdonalds here in central Florida have been doing this promotion for several months now. They have been giving out “samples” of different flavors on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays during set morning and afternoon hours. There are large signs posted about which flavors, and what hours they are being given out next to the drive-thru. I have seen it posted at at least 3 different stores since maybe April.

I was driving home from out of state Monday and happened to stop for lunch at McD’s so the kids could play in the playland & stretch. I requested the free sample which they had a banner advertising, expecting a tiny sample and was surprised to recieve what certainly appeared to be a full-size Iced Mocha!
My McD’s (Grand Rapids area) has been doing small free samples several mornings a week, but you have to go inside to see them, no drive thru! I’ve seen them several mornings now because I go to a laundromat next door (I own a children’s consignment shop and we always have laundry to do!) and when I’m bored I walk over to McD’s to use the coupons my dad saves for me. Sometimes you can score pretty good stuff there for free!
