It's Super Double Coupon Week at KMart again this week (July 5-11, 2009). As usual, not all stores are participating. To check and see if your store is participating, click here and type in your zip code. If the cover of your weekly ad has a bright red box with $2 doubles on it, your store is participating.
Here are the important things you need to know:
::You can only double up to 4 like coupons per transaction.
::You can only double 10 total coupons per trip.
::Internet coupons are accepted.
::Your total before coupons must be at least $25 in order for the computer to double your coupons.
::Sales tax will apply to your pre-coupon total.
Due to the new rules imposed, the way to make the most of the Double Coupon event would be to plan to make multiple smaller shopping trips each totaling just over $25 before coupons and only using 10 doubled coupons total. It will take a little bit more strategy, but the deals are so plentiful, it shouldn't be too hard to pull off.
I am just going to list the completely free items which are available in my post. Be sure to scroll down for links to a few other blogs which have much more extensive deal lists posted. In addition, I'd love to have you share your deals and steals in the Mr. Linky at the end of this post. Let's all help each other make the most of this Super Doubles event!

I am so sad right now that the closest Kmart is about 5 hours away. Look at all those awesome freebies!! Those that are close to Kmart enjoy some wonderful free shopping for me.

Scotch Nail Saver Sponge coupon is $1/3.
[Reply]
The IP coupon link for the for the Scotch Sponges is for $1/3. Is there a different coupon for $1 off 1?

Multigrain Cheerios was not included in the 4/$10 buy 4 get them for $1.50 each deal at my KMart. They were regular price $3.xx
Just thought I’d mention it so you can take other GM coupons with you!

My Kmart apparently doesn’t have as good as selection or prices as other Kmart stores do. Dry Idea roll on was $4.99 and no A1 steak sauce. The only item I was able to get for free was a Reach toothbrush.
[Reply]
I’m confused. In the “fine print” it says double coupon can not exceed the retail price of the item. A lot of the freebies you show, with the coupon is doubled, would actually be more than the price. Are they adjusting the coupon value? Thanks so much for the clarification:)

The Scotch Brite coupon says $1 off three on the coupon, not $1/1. This means the sponges are not free.

for the chillers it is saying I need to install coup printer…which is and has been installed numerous times. What now?

I work at Kmart. For CJ… say you buy something for 3.99 and you have a $2 off coupon for that item. It will give you the two dollars and then another .99 cents off. For everyone…the coupons still double even if you only buy one item and most store do not enforce the 10 coupon limit. Make sure you check at the customer service desk about the 10 coupon limit. This rule, You can only double up to 4 like coupons per transaction, is the only on we were enforcing today. And to get around that you can always do more then on transaction
Hope that helps

Also if you have the $5 off $25 health and beauty coupons or the $5 off $50 grocery coupons that print after your reciept and you decide you want to use those make sure you give that to the cashier first becuase those are based on your total and you dont want to mess up that total with your other coupons. Make sure you read the fine print on those because you cant use them on sale or clearanced items and you have to spend a certain amount before tax.

At my KM here in AZ the Dry idea deodorant is 4.99 not 3.99 so not free.

I just called my store in Fl. and was told they are allowing up to 20 coupons per transaction. So, call your store ahead of time to plan your deals. That is going to make it a lot easier to do the catalina deal. ( c =

they adjust the price of the coupon down to the total price if it will exceed the price.. ex: coupon is $2 off, item costs $3.50, they take off $2, and then $1.50 off, making the item free… but no overage
[Reply]
My kmart let me do one transaction and I had 33 coupons. They did have a sign up though so bonus for me. Maybe yours will let you too? I got over $100 dollars in stuff for $33. Plus a cat printed out for $14 dollars off my next order, $1.50 off pampers wipes ( which will be free after doubling), $5 off $50 dollar purchase and $5 off $25 health and beauty purchase. I thought that was pretty groovy.

I went just now to do the GM cereal deal. The only cereal that I had printed coupons for that was on sale was original Cheerios.
The great thing was that my store doubled my coupons and they aren’t even advertising super double coupons, nor did I spend the required $25, so I wasn’t expecting that. I got 4 boxes of cereal for 90 cents!
I still had a $1/1 coupon left from those weekly Cheerios emails a while back that expired today so I was still able to use it.
Here’s how it worked out for me with my coupons:
$6 – $1/1 doubled to $2 – $1/2 doubled to $2 – $.55/1 doubled to $1.10 = $.90

Great list! My Kmart is not doubling. I posted a link from my blog to your list for my readers that might have Kmart doubles this week. Posted here: http://smartcentsmom.blogspot.com/2009/07/kmart-doubling-coupons-75-to-711.html

wow. I didnt think any florida stores doubled coupons but it looks like ours is! crazy!!!
[Reply]
Same thing for me Meghan. It keeps looping me to install it over and over, and then to upgrade.

I called five K-Marts in my area (Cleveland/Chattanooga, TN) and they all said limit 10 coupons per person per day, not per trip, as stated above. Everyone may want to verify that with their local store. It was hard to be limited to 10 coupons, but I brought a family member along with me so that we could each use 10 coupons.
[Reply]
My Smart source 5/10 did not have the St. Ives Apricot Scrub coupon. Did anyone else run into this problem? And I also didn’t find the exact coupons for A1, Skintimate and Wishbone. They were all either lower value coupons or in different flyers. I was just wondering if this was common. Thanks!
[Reply]
Cari, When the coupon doubles, it automatically doubles up to the full value of the item purchased if a full doubling will exceed the cost. For example, I bought the $3.33 Pantene shampoo and used a $2/1 coupon. On my receipt, it says “Scanned Coupon $2″ and under it is says “Multicoupon $1.33,” so it scanned for face value at two, and then ‘doubled’ up another $1.33 to make the shampoo free. The ad just means that I won’t get free shampoo and 67 cents back!
[Reply]
Yes, if the doubled amount exceeds the amount of the product they will adjust it to make it free… no money-makers
Sometimes this will happen to me also when I use my AOL IE… I will install if several times. If I close it down and go to IE it will USUALLY work! Not sure why though!
Happy $avings to all!

At least at the KMart I went to, the 4/$6 GM cereal deal was very specific to certain types, which did not include any of the kinds mentioned in your post. I thought maybe the Total and Multigrain Cheerios would work anyway, so I tried at the register but no luck.
Also tried all the other IP coupon freebies you listed, but none of my coupons doubled (even though they confirmed that they’re participating in the super doubles promo) and since ALL of the IP coupons said DO NOT DOUBLE, they would not manually double them for me. I had to leave the store empty-handed; it was a huge disappointment.

I can use more than 10 coupons at both of my local Kmarts. I heard them explaining it to the cashiers, saying they’re “not allowed to say no” if someone comes with more than 10 coupons.
Also, Axe shampoo, which has a $2 printable, is on sale for $3.99. A receipt coupon prints up for $5/$25 health and beauty purchase… so if you buy 4 with some fillers to hit $25, it would be a free transaction.
Planning to try it today. Ya have to buy *something* first to get the receipt coupon. I have no idea if all Kmarts are doing these receipt coupons, but my mom’s is too, so it looks good.
[Reply]
Yes, they adjust the price to match the price of the item, if the doubled coupon would go over.

I live in Dallas, GA. I called all nearby Kmart stores within likes 20-30 miles and none are participating. =(

Just had the most amazing trip to Kmart yesterday. Over $270 of toiletries and groceries for under $50. I stumbled over this site that helped me. http://abundantfoodsavings.com/Kmart/kmart-double-coupon-matches-for-75-lots-of-new-items.html
Hope it helps others.

I’m sorry, this is a dumb question…but for doubling coupons do you need two coupons…or does the single coupon ‘double’?? I am new to the couponing world.
[Reply]
My KMart doesn’t uphold any of the rules. I can use as many as I want, and they even double the BOGO coupons that are under $1… 28 packs of free gum yesterday! I walked out spending under $15 (including some school supplies that I didn’t have coupons for) and saving almost $100!
[Reply]
The printable coupons referenced on your site all say “do not double or triple.” Are they still taking them?
[Reply]
I too found that the prices at my Kmart were way higher than listed on here. The best deal was the Pert for Men shampoo. We have a $1.50 q, doubles to $3 and the shampoo is $3.49 with a Try Me Free sticker. I am donating a lot of my purchases to a friend in need and this made her stash a .92 moneymaker!
[Reply]
Kmart will not double their store coupons. I picked up Secret for a shelf price of $4.49 and I had a $2 off Kmart coupon for the item. The assistant manager said it wouldn’t double to $4 becuase it was a store coupon.
[Reply]
WooHoo! Thanks I didn’t know about Kmart’s deals and my store is participating!
[Reply]
My 5 off 25 of health and beauty didnt work because most of my items were sale items. Bummer – but I bumped it up to $50 with a few packs of gum and used my 5 off 50! OOP 13.10

I’ve noticed at my KMart that the shelves are getting pretty bare. Do they re-stock the shelves at some point or if they’re out of stock are we just out of luck? I didn’t know how that piece of it worked since I’m rather new to the entire concept.
[Reply]
Unfortunatley my trip was fustrating – the Cheerios cereal deal did not work, most items were more than listed, some items they didn’t even have and the girl missed a coupon so my total ended up being 6.56 for 5 items, nothing for free but still pretty good i guess.

Just a tip. I got a great deals by using a manufature coupon PLUS the K-mart coupon. There were K-Mart pull coupons under the Huggies for $1 off that stated on them not to be used with any other coupons, but I thought I’d just hand them to her and see what happens, and it scanned fine along with my $2 off printable coupon. So I ended up getting $5 off my Huggies Pull-ups. I also did this with Olay Bodywash and it accept both coupons. (The K-mart coupons do not double though.)
