Great! We have a child who seems to have a wheat or gluten problem and he gets frustrated to not be able to have the same foods as others.

Does anyone know if these are casein free, as well? If I get around to calling today, maybe I’ll ask.

Thanks!

That is so exciting. My hubby and son are both gluten free and so I love finding special deals for them :)

I called the number above and did not get General Mills, but some other company that definitely was not doing a Betty Crocker gluten free promo… just an FYI.

Awesome! Hubby has celiac disease and baking mixes are so expensive that are GF. Thanks!

Hmmm. That would be great–although I’ve never seen these in my grocery store, so I wonder if I’d actually be able to find them?

Good news! Looks like my local store is carrying it! In fact, the info on the website says that most regular grocery stores should be carrying it this summer. Woohoo!!

Thank You! It is so difficult to find inexpensive GF treats!

Kelly July 30, 2009 at 12:18 pm

An update: I called (waited 5 minutes for a rep) and they asked me my address, two questions and said the coupon would arrive at the end of August. Thanks again!

Amanda July 30, 2009 at 12:57 pm

Thanks for the info! My son is allergic to wheat so it would be great to get these. He’s also allergic to eggs and milk so I’ll probably have to do some substitutions when making the cakes, but I’m sure these mixes taste better than the others we have tried. Thanks again!

Hooray! This will make my mother so, so happy–she has Celiac Disease, and hasn’t been able to eat cake in YEARS. Thanks so much for the info! :)

My husband has Celiac disease and recently we found out that our 3 year old has it as well! Thank you so much for this! The other brands are SOOOOOO expensive that they only get these “quick” treats every now and then. This is great and I hope that other manufacturers will soon grab on to the gluten-free train!!

Thank you so much for this post! My BFF has a gluten intolerance and it’s so tough to find stuff!

FYI – The yellow cake is good but we agreed that the devils food cake is the BEST. It’s really close to real cake!

Pat August 2, 2009 at 5:17 pm

I have bought this at our grocery store and they are excellent. Tastes just like “real” cake. I made cupcakes both times. They run between $4.50 – $5.00 per box so it’s not cheap and they make only a 9×9 pan. But they do sell them a little cheaper on Amazon.com if you want to buy 6 boxes at once. I was able to get free shipping as well since I was buying some other GF items and it was over $50. I’ve found some really good GF deals if you’re willing to buy in bulk ( 6 – 12 items at once)

Indy August 4, 2009 at 11:01 am

Just did it. She asked me my name, email address and mailing address. Thats it. The coupon is on the way.

spomoen August 6, 2009 at 12:55 pm

i just tried to call. they’re out of coupons due to overwhelming demand. :(
