Chick-fil-A: Dress Like a Cow and Get Free Food! (Friday, July 10, 2009)

by crystal on July 7, 2009

026

Friday July 10, 2009, is annual Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A. If you dress head-to-toe like a cow you'll receive a free combo
meal at and if you wear a cow accessory you'll receive a free entree item.
More details here.

Now for the fun part… Because I love Chick-Fil-A and because I like
to keep things exciting, we're celebrating "Dress Like a Cow Day" here on Friday. If you have a Chick-Fil-A nearby and you aren't ashamed of
doing something a little goofy in order to get free food, here are the
details:

::Dress up in some way, shape, or form like a cow. There are lots of ideas here
and here to get your creative juices flowing. The only stipulation is that you
use materials you already have on hand to make your cow costume; do not
go out and buy something to make your costume otherwise it ruins the
whole concept of the food being free! Get your whole family in on the
act, if possible.

::Take pictures of your whole clan dressed up and ready to head out the door to Chick-fil-A. (Or get extra points for taking the pictures at Chick-fil-A!). Post pictures of your cow-adorned selves on your blog and I'll have a Mr. Linky up so you can leave your link.

::Enjoy your free food, make an unforgettable memory with
your children and/or friends, and have a blast while other people look
at you like you've lost your mind.
Oh the things we frugal folks will do when there is free food involved!

I can hardly wait
to see what crazy costumes you all come up with!

We had a blast doing this last year. We all got a free combo meal! The funniest part was seeing my military husband allowing me to make him up in any way I saw fit!
Like you said, “Oh the things we frugal folks will do when there is free food involved!”- That is so true. I am excited to eat some Chic-Fil-A. I better get started on our costumes! ( c =

That is so not fair, this poor pregnant woman misses chick fil a and the closest one is too far to make it a frugal trip no matter how moo-ish I look!

I’m 7 mo pregnant…so it won’t be much of a stretch… I’ll take any excuse to go to Chick fil A!

I also wanted to add this note about one way our CFA is serving our community. I was in the store two weeks ago and one of the managers gave me her card. She said to email her with my due date and contact information and they would call me around that time to arrange to deliver a free meal to our family after the baby is born! I know that they were bringing frequent meals to help one of my neighbors who just had triplets.

I don’t know if this is nation-wide or just a local effort, but I am so impressed with the company and all they do!
