Dime Savin' Diva just emailed me about this great deal on John Frieda shampoo and conditioner if you have multiples of Sunday's coupon insert.
John Friada shampoo and conditioner is on sale 3 for $15 this week at Walgreens and you'll get a $5 Register Reward back when you buy 3. Buy 3 of the Root Awakening line and use 3 $3/1 coupons from the 06/14 SmartSource insert and you'll only pay $6 plus tax out of pocket after the coupons and you'll get a $5 Register Reward back. So after the coupons and Register Reward, these are only $0.33 each!
Note: If your area did not get the $3/1 coupons, there are $1/1 coupons here to make it a somewhat-reasonable deal, but nothing as great as $0.33 each!

My Walgreen’s didn’t have the Root Awakening but it’s a great deal if you can find it.
I did this deal the other day and bought the OREO CAKESTERS with the $5 RR’s. The cakesters are on sale for 2/$7 BUT they ring up 2/$5. FREE CAKESTERS! Plus you get a $3 RR when you buy the cakesters and if you use 2 $1 Q’s from the 6/7 SS you get two more boxes of cakesters for FREE!!!! All in all if you break it down this transacation can be looked at as getting each item for .96 cents!
In Knoxville TN we only got $1 coupons…
Must be a regional Q…..was not in the Birmingham News. Too bad!
Too bad we didn’t get any John Frieda coupons at all…Best we can do is $1/1 from online. Which makes it $7 for 3 bottles…Oh, well.
Wasn’t in Montgomery Advertiser either. I do have some $2 ones from BZZAgent. This is a great product!
I have ordered coupons off of ebay in the past when I needed them. They are usually like $1-2 for a set of 20. Not bad when you know you will be getting something free with them.
coupons.com also has a coupon right now, limit 2. I assume this may be different depending on the zip, but it appeared for me zip 02860.
I was able to get this deal today! Thanks for sharing!
There is a $1 off Root Awakings in Coupons.com
Just did this deal tonight. The cashier even commented on what a great deal it was! I bought two cheap fillers and used my RRs and got everything for two dollars. Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up on the great deal! I was able to do it twice today, and if I had more coupons–there were more products on the shelf!
Question:The coupons that I have say one coupon per transaction so how do you use multiples of the same one? I am new to this. Thanks.
OK, I took advantage of this deal today and this is the first time I have ever gotten Register Rewards at Walgreens. We don’t normally shop there, but I’ve made two trips this week to try it out.
I used two $3/1 and one $1/1 to get the Root Awakening items, and a $1.50/1 to get the St. Ives item. I got both Register Rewards.
Here’s my question: why do you apply the Register Rewards you get at the end of your transaction to the current transaction to figure out the deal? Shouldn’t they be factored in discounts off your next order? What if you don’t use them? I can’t use them on the items I just bought – I’m going to have to go back and buy more stuff to use them, and by July 4, too, when they expire.
It seems to me, that I’m going to get caught in a cycle of having to buy more things to get those great deals off what I’ve already bought. Is there a good reasoning for this? My husband especially wants to know why I just bought three shampoos/conditioners when we already have plenty, especially if I don’t use that RR.
Do you have a post on this already you can point a newbie to?
Thanks!
I’ve done this deal 3 times……I am lucky enough to have family who gives away their coupons. Also, tonight I did the GM cereal deal and I picked up a golden grahams cereal I just HAD TO HAVE well it had a “WIN cash card” marked on the side which I didn’t pay much attention to but to my BIG surprise my daughter ran to me later in the night and said, “MOM I GOT A CREDIT CARD IN THE CEREAL BOX” and wow what a grand surprise…..it was a cash card for $25 dollars……we really got a great deal on the cereal tonight! Thanks Money saving Mom!
Where I live in NWIndiana I can use my RR at our local Jewel towards more $$ off on my grocery bill…..Jewel takes them because they are manufacturer coupons. And when you stock pile items that are cheap or free it saves you money in the long run so you don’t have to buy more such as shampoo…..or you can donate them to a local charity or as I am trying to do stock pile some things to make boxes to send to my son who will soon be leaving to serve in Iraq. When he was overseas before he loved getting things from home and so do the other soldiers. Or as some folks just trying to put aside things to survive this economy.
