Regarding the J & J baby powder for $1.00 size 1.5 oz is the trial size and my coupon says not good on trial size at Walgreens. Am I missing something?

Jenae June 20, 2009 at 9:02 pm

Also, at our Walgreens the St. Ives Body Wash was free with register rewards. It was in the advertisement, but maybe it is just regional?

Misty June 20, 2009 at 10:06 pm

I read that Organix is rated “F” by the BBB and many people have not recieved their rebates, so watch out on this one!!!

I did not have any type of account but wanted to suggest this. It also isn’t from Walgreens but could potentially work at any store. Once my mom and I were shopping a BOGO sale at Kohl’s. We were on a budget and trying to get the most out of the sale. So what we did, was to split our selections into two categories. The under $20 purchases and the over $20 purchases. Our reasoning was that each expensive item would get another expensive item free. Whereas if we had put them all together, the more expensive items would have gotten the less expensive items free, costing us more money. It really works if you have two adults or an adult and a teen old enough to go through the line by themselves. Just pretend like you don’t know each other. ;)

Purex at my Walgreens was $6.99, not $5.99…not sure if it was just where I was, but the shelf said $8.99, so I figured $6.99 was the sale price.

I second Misty. Careful of the Organix deal. Did that one time before and received the rebate for only half of the purchase price. I’m assuming it had something to do with the B1G1 deal I had pounced on.

Never mind that the shampoo is garbage…

I sent my husband to Walgreens this morning for the Organix shampoo and conditioner. I had seen the rebate at our Walmart a few months ago and got a conditioner then. I sent in the rebate form and within a few weeks recieved the check. Everything went smoothly, so don’t be afraid to get this deal. I really liked the conditioner (it was the tea tree kind). My husband picked out the white tea kind, so we’ll see how we like that. Thanks so much for all your help with these deals. We’ve done really well so far. My husband is so excited!

Our Walgreens has VITAMIN Shampoo & Conditioner buy one get one free. They’re normally $6.99, but they have the “Free after Rebate” tags that hang around the neck of the bottle. So it’d be like getting two free after rebate, like the Organix deal.

On the Organix rebate system, I got my check within six weeks… I think it just depends on where it gets processed.

Heather June 21, 2009 at 8:46 pm

About the Organix…be aware that there are two Try Me Free hang tags out there…one is expired (from like 2008) and the other is current. I happened to pick up one of each and thankfully looked at both, so made sure to get the current one.

I LOVE your blog! Thank you for doing all that you do!

Graciela June 21, 2009 at 10:55 pm

the purex at walgreens in ft worth, tx is $7.99 – $3RR making it $4.99 – $2Q makes it $2.99, maybe the $5.99 price is regional…?

susan June 22, 2009 at 6:56 am

Has anyone else experienced a problem with a Walgreens clerk saying that your # of coupons cannot exceed the # of items purchased? I did, and had to buy .33 candies for my transaction to go through. Is this Kosher?????!!!!!

Jenel June 22, 2009 at 8:46 am

I would warn anyone against trying to collect an Organix rebate. I literally had to call them 9 or 10 times before they finally sent mine last time. I also had to use the shampoo as hand soap because it made our hair feel like straw.

Michelle June 22, 2009 at 9:45 pm

How do you find out about the monthly RR deals? I don’t see those advertised anywhere. I bought the only Carmex I could find that was priced at 2.99 but it didn’t print out a RR. Also, the Purex was only on sale at 5.99, at my WGs anyway (I think 2 wks ago) it’s now 8.99, but I didn’t purchase it to see if it still prints out RR.

Cherie June 23, 2009 at 8:47 am

Another Nabisco Deal:
Buy the small Ritz Crackers (4-8 oz) @ $1.00
Use coupon from 5/17 SS: Buy any Ritz crackers, Get a FREE box of Wheat Thins, any variety.

With this deal you can buy the small box of Ritz Crackers and get the full size box of Wheat Thins for Free!

I haven’t actually tried this out yet myself but I don’t see any size restrictions on the coupon so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Jenna June 23, 2009 at 12:09 pm

re Susan:

Yes this is normal. You cannot have more coupons than the number of items you’re purchasing. Look throughout the store for fillers that are on clearance. :) Good luck!

alicia June 23, 2009 at 11:41 pm

If I want to donate the accuchek monitor, will they accept it if the seal has been broken? I had to open it to get the rebate, but wanted to be able to give it away. Anyone ever had any issues?

Karla June 26, 2009 at 8:16 pm

I am looking everywhere and cannot find the $3/1 coupon for the john Frieda root awakenings. I have the smart source inserts that came in my paper, but I just cannot find them in there and I’ve searched online…..I really want these, but I am desperately in need of these coupons.

thanks
Karla
