We don't have a Rite Aid, but from what I'm hearing, through this evening (Tuesday, June 23, 2009), the Hula umbrellas are marked down to $29.99 at Rite Aid locations. If you use this $5/$25 coupon and then this $25 coupon, you can score a free umbrella!
Note: you might want to add in a small filler item in case the register has trouble accepting two coupons when you're only buying one item.

Both coupons clearly state that the coupon may not be combined with other offers, so is it right to use both coupons?
I got 2 and about 10-15 of my readers have reported getting theirs as well! Mine were $.29 in tax each! WOOHOO!!
Any suggestions on which one to present first? The $5/$25 one says, “May not be combined with any other offers”. Will this deal still work then? I would LOVE to score a FREE umbrella. Thanks.

Hi Crystal–I just ran up to my Rite-aid and had no problem getting my new umbrella. I just bought two of the candy bars that are B1G1 and I made sure I handed my $5/$25 coupon before the Hula coupon. I paid $1.87 OOP for the umbrella and two candy bars! Yahoo!
I bought a filler item along with my umbrella, and handed her both my coupons with the $5 off on top. Worked perfectly-no problems. I’m so excited because a new umbrella was something on our growing list of things we need-and now I can check it off!!
My printer isn’t working!! I was able to print the second sheet of coupons. One of them is a $5 off $25 purchase. Can I use that coupon in addition with the umbrella coupon or do I need to use the specific one from the first link?

I just got back from Rite Aid, and this deal worked with no problems. I got BOGO gum as a filler and handed the 5/25 coupon first. Can’t wait to use this umbrella at the beach this weekend!
the rite aid I went to said i could not use both coupons… but $5 still isnt a bad deal for the umbrella

I got mine today ~ I used a BOGO free candy bar blinkie coupon and had a negative balance at first! The cashier had to adjust the coupon from 1.49 to .85 max coupon value! My total was .97!!!!!! Wahoo!

Thank You, I was able to get 2 for $.54 a piece. Had no problem. One cashier called the manager and he came and said I could use both coupons.

woo hoo my friend and i got there just before closing and each got one there was still one left should have printed another set of coupons but im hoping some esle got it maybe the chashier because when i looked back i saw her looking over the coupon!!!!!!!!!
The Manager cashed me out and couldn’t believe I saved so much! He said, I can’t believe you scored a great deal like that. He didn’t even know Rite Aide had computer coupons on the internet! I got the last one they had for pennies! Thanks for the info:-)
Went to Rite Aid and they would not let me use both coupons. Tried to use the $25 coupon but they said that they would not give me the sale price because it said that it had to be used for the $39.99 price so the cheapes I could get it for was $10. So disappointed!! It seems like in my area nothing is working lately. Our Kmarts don’t do double coupons week, Walgreens fights you over everything. Sometimes get very discourged!
I just went and got mine. I took my umbrella up and gave my $5/25 first then gave the $25 dollars off. Mine ended up costing $0.43 What a great deal. Thanks for the tip.
I’ve had coupon issues with my RA awhile back (and a lot of the staff there quit due to the manager). So I hadn’t been there in a long time. I decided I’d give it a try, thought, since RA is just a few blocks away.
When the last friendly person I knew that worked there saw me coming up to the register with the umbrella, she “whispered” to the assistant manager that he was gonna have to take this one. Great. He rang up my $1 straws (filler) and then said, “I know you’re going to have a coupon for the umbrella – may I see it now so I know what I have to do?” I gave him the coupon, he scanned the umbrella then the coupon… and the coupon beeped. The lady came over and said that was the same problem she had with someone this morning. While she was saying that, he typed in the number from the coupon and it went through. Then he scanned the $5/$25 – and it beeped. Same thing – typed it in and it worked. So I *did* end up getting a free umbrella – but it took having the right person do it (and I think the lady this morning went home umbrella-less).
They, at first, didn’t even want to take the $25 coupon because this district’s coupon policy is no internet coupon over $5. I questioned whether that was the case for a RITE AID coupon… and she said that was what her manager was trying to figure out. She asked if she could let him see the other coupons, so I just gave them to her. But this craziness is a huge part of the reason I don’t shop there unless it’s **really** worth it. 6′ of shade – even under kinda funky plastic “straw” – totally worth it. So thanks!
I was able to snag 2 of them. After coupons, it would have been -$0.01 so I grabbed a couple of candy bars for each transaction and used my “free chocolate” candy bar coupon to pay for it. My total for each transaction ended up being $0.02! Now all I need is a table to put it in and a reason to throw a luau.
thx- I was able to get the last one between my 2 local stores. I was a little worried about using both coupons so I bought a clearance pack of gum and no problems. Paid $.93 oop.
