Super Savings Saturday

Well, we skipped grocery shopping entirely this week except for a quick run my husband made for bananas and chocolate milk. Our church friends have generously been providing food for us all week long so I haven't had to cook anything and we've been eating exceptionally well. What a blessing!

And we haven't even touched our After-The-Baby Freezer Stash of 25 meals I made up before Silas was born so it looks like it's going to be quite a while before I'm going to have to do much cooking or baking around here–which is wonderful since I'm pretty busy right now just keeping up with three little ones!

I have to say, though, I'm really missing cooking, baking, and bargain
shopping–even if my time is a bit limited right now!–and I am looking
forward to jumping back into it soon. But in the mean time, I've been
spending my free time snuggling with and loving on my adorable little children.

Thanks for your patience with me as I've been blogging less here this past week. My husband went back to work on Monday so I've been on my own most of this week. Gratefully, it's going really well and we're making good headway in getting into a routine around here but it will likely be at least a few more weeks before things are back into order and we have a good schedule going.

Until then, I'm just blogging in the little spare moments of time that avail themselves throughout the day–and some days, those spare moments are pretty sparse! At any rate, I appreciate your understanding as we make this transition here and thank the many of you who have gone out of your way to pass along deals and links to help me out.

Did you snag any great deals or bargains this week or save
money in other ways? If so, be sure to post about them on your blog and
leave your link below.

Note: Please remember that this weekly round-up is to share
deals you personally got and/or money you were able to save this week.
In order to keep this weekly round-up focused on helping and inspiring
others in their efforts to save money, links which have little-to-no
content other than promoting affiliate links, etc. will be deleted.
Also, to make it easy for everyone to navigate quickly through the
links, your link must link directly to your Super Savings Saturday

Come on, I think you’ve been doing amazingly well by getting ANYTHING up on your blog! I don’t think I even wrote my birth story until 2 weeks later with my first baby. Seems like we get better at bouncing back with subsequent babies — or we have to!

Oh my gosh! Don’t apologize – I think you are doing a wonderful job of just giving birth, having three little ones now and trying to do anything!

  3. Jen says

Just wanted to say congratulations and thanks for all that you do! Oh, and you don’t have to apologize – you just had a baby! Plus, I think you’ve been updating your blog quite a bit, given the circumstances. Thank you for sharing the photos – your little ones are beautiful! I’m glad that you are settling into a routine already. We have one child and I’m afraid that we still haven’t settled into a routine, LOL. She’s 2! Enjoy your time with your little ones :)

You all are very kind! Thank you!

I have been surprised at how smoothly the transition has gone from two to three–especially considering my second is only 22 months old. But it’s still an adjustment and I definitely have been online a lot less as a result–I’m choosing sleep and snuggling with my littles over blogging most of the time! :) The newborn stage is so short and I don’t want to miss any of it.

I worked part time when my son was born. My only regret? I pressured myself to go back to work too soon. I started again when he was 4 weeks old. I told myself it was no big deal because I was working from home, but now I look back on that time and wonder why I made that choice. Don’t worry about us or your blog! We will not have a lifetime relationship with you probably. Your son will. Treasure this time with him and have fun snuggling. All too soon he’ll be all wiggles and ready to play (and get into things…ha!). Congratulations!

oh…to have a tiny baby in the house again!!!
I’d still be laying in bed trying to nap all day with the baby!
    You’re doing awesome!

Congrats on your new little guy..so cute! And how sweet of your friends to be helping out with food.
Enjoy all your precious ones…they do keep us busy!

Thanks for the pics! They are adorable!! Try to rest and enjoy your sweet peas!!! We all understand how busy a new little one makes a mommy! And the freezer meals are going to come so in handy! You’re a great example!

Your children are adorable indeed! I am so happy for you that you are able to relax and enjoy them right now instead of cooking or shopping! You were so smart to prepare the way you did for meals! You are a blessing to your family and your readers :)

Crystal, he’s getting so big…already! How adorable!!!

And, take time to just be in the moment with your kids, especially little bro, Silas!! Your readers are loyal and they will most definitely be here when you are ready to return full force…they’ll be extra eager too, I’m sure!!

Congratulations on your new baby boy – I love the picture of him with his big sister (she looks really happy – what a special little girl you have!)

Don’t worry about your blog – I’m an addict so will keep logging on anyway.

Your “After-The-Baby Freezer Stash” idea is brilliant. I think I’d like to take a day to prep a bunch of meals to freeze because it’s not always easy to find the time, energy, and creativity to prepare a meal at the end of the day when my baby needs to be nursed and my 2-year-old wants to play.

Thanks for the inspiration…and congrats again on the birth of your new little guy!
