Free LEGO Smart Kit and Creativity Contest

LEGOSmartkit

Now through August 2009, LEGO® Education is hosting an activity challenge for educators of all grades and subject areas! The LEGO® Smart™ Creativity Contest begins with your
imagination and ends with great prizes, online recognition, and the
chance to share your activity with thousands of students across the
nation!

The task is simple:

Create an activity using only the
bricks included in a LEGO Smart Kit. Educators are being challenged to use the kits’ contents to develop
a hands-on activity for their students. This can range from a simple
build to a more advanced mathematical problem. You’re the creator, so
let your imagination lead you!

Go here to request your kit and start getting creative!

Thanks, Tammy!

Hey Crystal, I just wanted to let you know (and anyone else who purchased the Fiber One products during the Target promotion) to WATCH OUT for the side effects of all the extra fiber. I’ve been feeding my daughter the yogurt (every other day or so) and she has been having the stinkiest poopy diapers about 4 times a day (she usually only dirties her diaper once a day). We just now realized that it’s the Fiber One yogurt after my husband mentioned that he’s been having issues after eating the chewy bars. I Googled it and apparently most people have negative side effects from all the fiber (maybe it’s a bad synthetic fiber that’s insoluble?). I wish I had realized this BEFORE my daughter developed a nasty diaper rash from all the pooping. So watch out!!

Becky, I just took a look at this for a friend, and it says right on the site “To be eligible for the LEGO Smart Creativity Contest you must be a teacher or working in the education field. This includes administrators, coaches, home school educators, and classroom aides!”

so home schooler’s are in!
