I was able to get 5 pounds of apples today for free. I also bought 4 pounds of organic carrots for a total of $2. They were out of the brand of carrots I had a coupon for. The produce manager said to go ahead and get them anyway and they would honor my coupon! I was able to walk out of Target with 5 pounds of apples and 4 pounds of organic carrots for less then $3.
The shelves are totally cleared of the Glade candles. I did not get a chance to check on the waffles. I will have to go back later. I hope you are feeling better.

My target store does not seem to have the girt card deal for the glade candles…. is this promo only at certain locations? Also my store no longer with do the mac and cheese deal you listed. First time I had trouble with that.

Wendy April 27, 2009 at 11:12 am

My Target had Capri Sun – 20 packs on sale for $4.49 – minus $1 Target Web Coupon, it brought it down to $3.49. Not a bad price! I stocked up for those summer outings with the kids – they’re great to freeze and use as ice packs!

Megan April 27, 2009 at 11:40 am

The Dry Idea was in B1G1 packages for $3.50ish so I used two $2/1 coupons and got four deodorants for $3 at Wal-Mart.

Megan April 27, 2009 at 11:43 am

I also tried the Mac and Cheese and they argued that since the Mac and Cheese showed a picture of the four pack that the coupon was only for the four pack.

I have recently started the Target deals. I had stuck to cvs and wags, but decided to venture out a bit. I have been nothing but frustrated. Most prices people are posting for Target are nowhere near what my Target sells it for. I end up getting maybe one or two out of every 10-15 deals posted, but that really isn’t worth my trip all the way out to Target. Am I missing something?

j April 27, 2009 at 11:48 am

did they let you use more than one apple coupon per transaction?

melissa B. April 27, 2009 at 12:11 pm

Our Target doesn’t carry Kashi Waffles. :( I looked.

Karla Thompson April 27, 2009 at 12:31 pm

Just FYI…I went to Target in Fayetteville, AR last Thursday and they do not carry the Artisan Wheat Thins. Also, I tried to get the Dove $0.97 deoderant (trial size) and use the $1.25 coupon and they wouldn’t let me do this. They said the coupon cannot exceed the item amount. I asked if they could just write the price adjustment on the coupon and they said no. I also tried to get the fruit snacks that you mentioned last week and they had the same answer for those. Maybe Target is different than Walgreens??

Sariah April 27, 2009 at 12:37 pm

My Target has put the price of Renu trial sizes up to $1.52.

alia April 27, 2009 at 12:46 pm

Am I the only one that has problems with target and there coupons? They always give me the hardest time. Even with the MFR coupons. I am wondering if they are worth it. I always have to get the cashier to call over a manager. They usually dont have a clue either. I was just curious if I am the only one.

Rhonda Devine April 27, 2009 at 12:58 pm

I also like to shop Target~however, I’ve been passing them up lately because they also won’t allow me to combine MFR coupons with their Target coupons so the deals at other stores are sweeter.

Megan April 27, 2009 at 1:01 pm

I just got back from my Target where they had Colgate and Crest toothpaste with a free toothbrush on sale for $1.99. I had (2) $1 off coupons so I used two coupons and got two toothpaste and toothbrushes for $1.98.

Carrie April 27, 2009 at 1:40 pm

No, I have trouble EVERY time I whip out coupons at Target. There has only been ONE time that I have been able to get through a line without the manager being called over to assist the check out person. It is extremely frustrating. I also have the problem that most of the deals mentioned here are not at my Target. Also, for example right now the 3M command hooks deal, is not as it appears on here. The two pack medium that is on sale for $2.75 is not the metal kind. The $2.50 coupon is for the metal command hooks. The coupon that will work for that item is only $1.00 off. Still a good deal, but I always get so excited looking at these deals and then they don’t work out the way it appears. Another example is the Listerine at Walgreens. The coupon linked is for a specific type of Listerine and it does NOT generate the Register Rewards. You have to buy a kind that the coupon is not good for. ANYWAY, I keep truckin’ along and I am finding some good deals, but Target is a hassle. I love them so I will keep trying, but they make it difficult when coupons are involved.

Kimberly April 27, 2009 at 1:40 pm

Our Target has Dry Idea on sale for the month of April for $2.00/each. With the printable coupon we are getting them for FREE! And our Walmart is selling V8 Fusion for $2.00 right now so with the printable coupon we are getting that for FREE as well! Yay, FREEBIES!

Vundermom April 27, 2009 at 1:52 pm

am I the only one who can’t find the B1G1 easy mac coupon? Help please

Honey April 27, 2009 at 2:03 pm

Our Walmart in Knoxville, TN has the v8fushion for 2.99-so with the $2 printable it’s a buck-not too bad…

Sarah April 27, 2009 at 2:26 pm

The only Wheat Thins Target Q I see is for $1/2. Am I missing the $1/1?

Laura April 27, 2009 at 3:24 pm

My Target manager has been downright hostile about coupon use. She’s told me more than once that the cashiers can’t adjust my coupon value down and said flat out that if I ended up with overage, I just couldn’t use my coupon, because they couldn’t “pay me to take an item.” I just called corporate and they told me the cashiers are perfectly able to adjust coupons down. They also told me it’s Target’s policy to accept store and manu. coupons on the same item, so there shouldn’t be any problem with that. I like the deals at Target, but I wish they were a little less difficult to do!

lee April 27, 2009 at 3:45 pm

I have had to call target customer service and I was told by them that if target gave me a hassle to call them from the store and they would handle it. Also please call target corp and complain. I used to work for target and this is not acceptable behavior to them. Target is one of the best places for me to get deals, also target prices are regional so call ahead first I do!

***************************
Money Saving Mom here: Yes, I always recommend that if you are having issues with a store not accepting coupons or giving you a difficult time that you call corporate. I’ve only had to do this a few times but the results have always been very good. Be polite, be courteous, and you’ll likely see some good results.

Hope that helps!

janet April 27, 2009 at 4:01 pm

please let J know at my target the Kashi waffles are with the organic foods in a freezer at the back of the store, not with the frozen waffles

charlene April 27, 2009 at 4:12 pm

Hi there, just to let you know, I sent this blog to my relatives and they say they it’s really useful !

Annie April 28, 2009 at 7:14 am

I tried to print the Shout coupon, and got the page to enter my info from the link. However, after I entered my info and hit Submit, I got an error page in both FireFox & Explorer. Any suggestions? My husband could really use these wipes as he’s a paramedic! Thanks.

Shannnon April 28, 2009 at 9:07 am
Michelle April 28, 2009 at 12:43 pm

My target didn’t have the 0.99/lb apples but I left there this morning with $22 worth of free goodies! Thanks!!

Jennifer April 28, 2009 at 3:21 pm

I tried to use the $1/2 coupon on the Easy Mac, and the register said I didn’t have any items for that coupon. However, I knew there might be a problem with it, after reading others comments. I was able to get the Quaker granola bites and a Dry Idea, though.

Lynne April 28, 2009 at 10:20 pm

My friend just had a bad experience at Target….They are really making it hard to use coupons. She wanted to purchase the vitamin water and they simply would not take the coupon….whats up with that….I can see no reason to reject that manufacture coupon. They wouldn’t let her use the coupons on the trial sizes because the picture on the coupon wasn’t of a trial size. lol, now there is a lawyer in the making….She asked for the supervisor and then a manager and they all said no..

What a nightmare. She was very frustrated and said it was just too much trouble and a waist of her time. I have shopped there and had no problem yet…but it looks like they have changed policies.

Abby April 29, 2009 at 12:31 pm

I got a super great deal at Target this week. They had Nivea Travel kits with trial size products in them, I think it was a total of 6, including one lip balm (I love those BTW). Two of the lotions were much bigger than a typical trial size lotion, more like the size of a small hand lotion bottle. On clearance for $5.94 and I had a $1 off coupon. I bought 5 of these since I will be hosting a baby shower soon and thought they would make good prizes for games.

So I get to the checkout and they were actually on clearance for $3.94…. plus the $1 off coupon, brought it to $2.94!!! When I got home and opened them up there was a $1 off coupon in each of them. I was so excited!

Also – about the SHOUT coupon, I have been trying that one for weeks now. Everytime I register to print the coupon I get a page with a bunch of server error nonsense on it.

Jennifer April 30, 2009 at 10:49 pm

I just got a Vocal Point mailer in my mailbox today with a free Kashi waffle coupon and a stack of $1.50 off. I’ve never tried these before. Is this a super deal at Target or should I hold on to them for a better deal later?

Here’s a link to my Target deals!! I love Target!! I do have a problem with some of the cashiers, but I look and see who’s working and use the ones that I know :) http://abafadams.blogspot.com/2009/05/target-deals-less-than-1000-total.html
