FYI – the Gillette shave gel is $1.89 in our area so it would end up costing a little bit more, but still worth it in my opinion. This is mu husband’s FAVORITE razor and usually lasts a while.

This seems like more than the average number of FREE items at Target this week. Definitely worth posting about!

Michelle April 6, 2009 at 9:34 am

A recent Target mailer contained a 50 cent coupon for eggs, which knocks the current price down to 49 cents! Some Del Monted veggies are on sale for 66 cents – use the 75 cent off coupon from that mailer and get them for free plus overage. The same mailer had a $5/$50 grocery purchase as well. Hope this helps.

The milk price is regional. Our Target (and Kroger, Walmart, and Costco) have it for $1.99 per gallon every day :) Also, you can get cheap boxes or free bags of fruit snacks using the Target coupon

I read on iMommies this morning that Target has changed their coupons back to “one like coupon per transaction”, can anyone confirm?

Jenae April 6, 2009 at 11:31 am

I got the mailer as well and saved $40 yesterday at Target. What was originally a $95 grocery bill ended up being $55. The mailer has some great coupons for items that are already on sale…pineapples are marked down to $1.99, use the $1/1 pineapple and it is $0.99. The strawberries are also $0.99 after the mailer coupon and sale price.

I’d love to know from the above posters how they got the Target mailers. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get on their list. I’ve even called customer service. Do you have to have their credit card (Red Card)?

I tried using the Vitamin Water Coupon at my Target and they said that they could only give me .99 per coupon becuase if they gave me a $1 then the water would be free and they can’t do that becuase the coupon doesn’t say for free water. Don’t know why it was an issue, but I knew I could get it at Wal Mart so I didn’t push it. Anyone else ever encounter this logic?

Safety Swabs are $1.29 locally. So that is a $0.46 MM!

Target has Bedtime Stories for $16.99 there is a $5.00 coupon and two different rebates which can bring the total to $1.99. Buy Bedtime Stories and Tigger and Pooh and a Musical Too and Get a $10.00 Gift Card, use the $6.00 peelie on Tigger and $5.00 disney coupon and submit for the two rebates. After coupons, gift card, rebates $3.99 for both.

Ashley, that is a bunch of bologna. I would print out a copy of their coupon policy (it’s posted on mysavings in the coupon section of the forum, on a full cup’s target forum, etc). They can’t give you overage (though some cashiers don’t know this and will push it through anyway) but this coupon doesn’t create overage, just free so there should not have been any problem. Hope that helped :)

This is for Michelle who wanted to know how to get Target mailers…I wish I had a good answer for you, but I am not sure how I got on the mailing list. I do not have a Red Card. I shop Target locally and have ordered online (maybe that’s it? The mailer was not “generic” – it was addressed specifically to my family. That would account for name/address information.) The current mailer has the SuperTarget logo on it, which makes sense since it is for grocery items. Sorry this isn’t much help, but I wanted to share what I knew. The number for Target corporate is 612-304-6073. The mailer’s postage permit lists Howard Lake, MN. Wish I had more information to share with you, but maybe a call straight to corporate rather than customer service might shed some light. Good luck!

You can also get the axe travel size body wash free with the $1 off coupon from the 4/5 unilever insert

On to Target, where I was going to try to pick up the aforementioned after-coupons $4.50 Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. After grabbing the coffee, I went to glance at the clearance display at the end of one of the food aisles. And what to my wondering eyes should appear…but clearanced holiday season dark chocolate raspberry Frappuccino 4-packs, clearanced at $2.49. I didn’t have a Starbucks coupon for this (in fact, can’t recall ever having seen bottled Frappuccino coupons…), but that’s as cheap as I’ve ever seen a Frappuccino 4-pack, especially for a drink that retailed $1.50-$2.00 in single doses last fall! The packaging says that they drinks are best until May 2009. In addition, the transaction generated some sort of Target-type Catalina: a printout for a free Starbucks Pike Place coffee (up to $1.95 value, expires 05/31/09) with the purchase of any other Starbucks Pike Place coffee, at in-Target Starbucks locations. If you’re into raspberry/coffee flavors and Starbucks in general, this deal’s for you!

I am pretty sure (not positive) that getting on the mailing list may have something to do with being previously registered at Target–like weddings and baby showers. I was registered for both at Target and I get mailers about home products (cleaners, paper towels, etc) and usually an additional one of just baby coupons. That’s just my assumption though, calling corporate may help if those aren’t options.

Margaret April 11, 2009 at 12:39 am

fyi. In Houston area of Texas most of these items were actually at least a dollar more than listed above making almost all the items for pay, not for free. I ended up walking out with 3 free deodorants and that was it! And the Target coupons do say “one per transaction” not per item.
Tough to live in a more expensive area :(
