I ended up getting 10 bottles. I learned today witht he limit of four, being buy2get2 per transaction. The CVS lady told me I could open up another card so I did. I have one coupon and decided to try it on the last transaction and it worked! I did have to pay tax on all of them.

To Sarah – If they carry the “HE” it should, my problem, the drugstores rarely carry it, I mentioned the Meijer deal in my previous comment, which is how I used the coupons

I can’t believe this coupon is already gone. I think it was literally up for 1/2 a day! I have had no problems at CVS getting two products free when there is a BOGO sale and I have a BOGO coupon. The info on CVS’ coupon policy was awesome! so thanks for providing that info here.

I managed to print out 3 coupons before it was gone and got 6 bottles FREE. Now that was a rush! Even my husband was smiling! Just goes to show you have to move really quickly on these coupons and print them out.

I printed at home and the library and hubby printed two at work. So far I have 12 bottles and haven’t paid a dime for any!! No tax either. Woo Hoo!!

Does anybody know if this works on “HE” or “high-efficiency” detergent? I love having a machine that saves water, but I’ve found that sometimes the deals don’t cover the special detergent.

I just got back from doing the Purex bogo deal and got both bottles free. I also bought the Dove shampoo/conditioner doing the bogo deal, buying two of each and using two $1.50-off shampoo and two $1.00-off conditioner copuons, and ended up paying $5 for 4 bottles of Dove hair care.

Don’t have a CVS near you? OR… if you’re like me, and you have to use HE detergents… which the drugstore doesn’t carry that much… try working this deal:

Meijer has Purex 2/$5 (AND they carry HE!!!) Use 2 B1G1 coupons and you can get them 4/$5 or $1.25 each which is still a great deal on detergent

You can get 4 bottles at one time. I went and got all 4 at one time and used 2 BOGO coupons. I had no problems at all. I have found getting 2 sets works best at my CVS.

AWESOME~ I did this deal and got 4 free purex. I was nervous that they would not accept it but it went through just fine!!

And to all of you who struggle with unfair cashiers — We ALL understand!!!! It seems like every other store, someone is unfair or rude about my coupons….. Oh well.

I just did this deal. Thanks! Here’s how it worked:
they scanned the 2 bottles of detergent. I gave the coupon. Cashier entered discount of 6.99. Then they scanned my card. off came the 6.99 from the CVS promotion. I owed .48 from tax on one bottle.

Katy, I emailed CVS corporate and this is their response:

Thank you for taking the time to contact CVS/pharmacy with your comments. I’ve provided our coupon policies.

CVS/pharmacy will accept coupons printed from the Internet. They must have a legible barcode that scans at the register.

If the coupon does not scan at the register, the cashier should politely inform you that we are unable to accept your coupon. We do not allow manual overrides at the register for coupons printed from the Internet.

Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. However, the staff should be allowing customers to use Extra Bucks in combination with other CVS coupons since these are coupons you have “earned.” In addition, similarly they should be allowing the use of “offer at the register” coupons which would be an open offer of $3 off of $15 or a certain dollar amount off of a specific item. Since our registers are programmed to only accept 2 coupons (1 CVS, 1 manufacturer) per item if the number of coupons exceed the items purchased a member of management will need to assist the cashier in processing the coupons. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

You can use coupons towards a clearance item but the coupon will be adjusted if it is more than the price of the item. The BOGO coupon allows you to purchase 2 items and get them both for free. With the manufacturer’s coupons you can combine one with one CVS coupon. You will be responsible for any tax due.

Lisa, where did you find this CVS coupon policy? From what I understand, each store has their own policy, since there isn’t a corporate coupon policy. Is this your store’s policy?

CVS’ coupon policy states on B1G1 offers you get both for free when you have a B1G1 coupon. So they should allow you to do this deal without a problem.
