A new B1G1 coupon was just posted up here in some regions for Purex laundry detergent. It just so happens that Purex laundry detergent is on sale B1G1 at CVS this week.

So if you're able to print the coupon, you can snag some free laundry detergent at CVS this week by buying two bottles of laundry detergent and using one B1G1 coupon paired with the B1G1 sale.

Free laundry detergent is a rarity, so stock up if you can!

Thanks, Deal Seeking Mom!

Not sure how your CVS is but ours will not let you use B1G1 coupon with B1G1 sale the managers all state you must actually Buy one of something in order to participate in the B1G1. Also I have read a number of times that B1G1 free you can use two coupons again our stores will not let you do this. Managers state since you are getting the second item free you can not use a coupon on that item. This is a mistake from both coupon views as the store recieves face value and at least .07 cents up to .14 cents for each coupon they turn in. So in these tough times for business it is actually in the stores best intrest to get every coupon that they can from customers. Walgreen’s understands this and they have employees going around taping coupons cut out of the sunday paper to the product on the shelf now how convient is that!

I thought I should inform you to spread the news that the previews on The Coupon Clippers list a coupon for .50/1 4pk of Angel Soft Toilet paper. It is $1.28 in my area and my Kroger triples. So free for me and cheap for others! This helps with the disappointment of the 4pk Cottonelle being discontinued at Kroger chains.

Thanks for all you do,

Where I live in GA (at Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS), I can’t use the B1G1 coupons (or any coupon) on the free item. They make me pay for one item and I can only use 1 coupon. The other rings up at $0.00 so their cash register beeps and won’t let me use the second coupon (or the B1G1 free coupon). That stinks!

Rebecca April 16, 2009 at 7:54 am

My CVS allows using the B1G1. At least, I haven’t had a problem yet. I was just there last night & got 4 free SoBe waters using the B1G1.

Thanks for the heads up about the Purex!

Ahhhh these coupons are not in my area!!!! :(

S.B. April 16, 2009 at 9:01 am

Thank you!! Got 4 bottles for FREE

Terri April 16, 2009 at 9:31 am

I can’t seem to find the coupon?

claire April 16, 2009 at 9:46 am

Do you know when it states that there is a limit of 4 for the purex B1G1 free offer for CVS if it means that you can only get 4 total (i.e. buy 2 get 2 free) or you can get 8 (buy 4 get 4 free)?
Thanks

Jenna Marie, you are SO RIGHT about how it’s in the best interest of stores to accept coupons! But someone needs to explain that to the managers and cashiers. I never even bother trying to convince them when it comes to these B1G1F coupons. I hate the way they treat me, as if I’m a criminal. Hey, I’m just smart! : ) So it’s a shame, but they have successfully scared me away from B1G1 deals, and thus have cheated themselves.

Kim April 16, 2009 at 9:55 am

I can’t seem to find it…perhaps it is gone already?

kimberly April 16, 2009 at 10:03 am

i got 4 bottles for the price of tax. whoo hoo!

ni ni April 16, 2009 at 10:20 am

i didnt find the coupon too:()(

Lisa April 16, 2009 at 10:32 am

CVS’ coupon policy states on B1G1 offers you get both for free when you have a B1G1 coupon. So they should allow you to do this deal without a problem.

Katy April 16, 2009 at 10:54 am

Lisa, where did you find this CVS coupon policy? From what I understand, each store has their own policy, since there isn’t a corporate coupon policy. Is this your store’s policy?

Lisa April 16, 2009 at 11:21 am

Katy, I emailed CVS corporate and this is their response:

Thank you for taking the time to contact CVS/pharmacy with your comments. I’ve provided our coupon policies.

CVS/pharmacy will accept coupons printed from the Internet. They must have a legible barcode that scans at the register.

If the coupon does not scan at the register, the cashier should politely inform you that we are unable to accept your coupon. We do not allow manual overrides at the register for coupons printed from the Internet.

Our registers are set to allow 1 CVS coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon per item. However, the staff should be allowing customers to use Extra Bucks in combination with other CVS coupons since these are coupons you have “earned.” In addition, similarly they should be allowing the use of “offer at the register” coupons which would be an open offer of $3 off of $15 or a certain dollar amount off of a specific item. Since our registers are programmed to only accept 2 coupons (1 CVS, 1 manufacturer) per item if the number of coupons exceed the items purchased a member of management will need to assist the cashier in processing the coupons. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

You can use coupons towards a clearance item but the coupon will be adjusted if it is more than the price of the item. The BOGO coupon allows you to purchase 2 items and get them both for free. With the manufacturer’s coupons you can combine one with one CVS coupon. You will be responsible for any tax due.

Abby April 16, 2009 at 11:59 am

Cool – I got the free Purex and free Sobe water today!

jessica April 16, 2009 at 12:03 pm

I just did this deal. Thanks! Here’s how it worked:
they scanned the 2 bottles of detergent. I gave the coupon. Cashier entered discount of 6.99. Then they scanned my card. off came the 6.99 from the CVS promotion. I owed .48 from tax on one bottle.

Maggie April 16, 2009 at 12:37 pm

AWESOME~ I did this deal and got 4 free purex. I was nervous that they would not accept it but it went through just fine!!

And to all of you who struggle with unfair cashiers — We ALL understand!!!! It seems like every other store, someone is unfair or rude about my coupons….. Oh well.

Jessica April 16, 2009 at 1:07 pm

You can get 4 bottles at one time. I went and got all 4 at one time and used 2 BOGO coupons. I had no problems at all. I have found getting 2 sets works best at my CVS.

Laura April 16, 2009 at 1:40 pm

It worked for me too, near Cincinnati, OH! Thanks for the info!

MJ April 16, 2009 at 2:24 pm

Don’t have a CVS near you? OR… if you’re like me, and you have to use HE detergents… which the drugstore doesn’t carry that much… try working this deal:

Meijer has Purex 2/$5 (AND they carry HE!!!) Use 2 B1G1 coupons and you can get them 4/$5 or $1.25 each which is still a great deal on detergent

Carolyn April 16, 2009 at 2:28 pm

I just got back from doing the Purex bogo deal and got both bottles free. I also bought the Dove shampoo/conditioner doing the bogo deal, buying two of each and using two $1.50-off shampoo and two $1.00-off conditioner copuons, and ended up paying $5 for 4 bottles of Dove hair care.

Sara April 16, 2009 at 2:52 pm

Does anybody know if this works on “HE” or “high-efficiency” detergent? I love having a machine that saves water, but I’ve found that sometimes the deals don’t cover the special detergent. :-(

TYIA!

Lisa April 16, 2009 at 3:19 pm

I printed at home and the library and hubby printed two at work. So far I have 12 bottles and haven’t paid a dime for any!! No tax either. Woo Hoo!!

Hetal April 16, 2009 at 4:14 pm

I can’t print the coupon! Any suggestions?

Lady Di April 16, 2009 at 7:39 pm

This coupon appears to be gone. :(

Michelle at Wicked Cool Deals April 16, 2009 at 9:27 pm

I can’t believe this coupon is already gone. I think it was literally up for 1/2 a day! I have had no problems at CVS getting two products free when there is a BOGO sale and I have a BOGO coupon. The info on CVS’ coupon policy was awesome! so thanks for providing that info here.

I managed to print out 3 coupons before it was gone and got 6 bottles FREE. Now that was a rush! Even my husband was smiling! Just goes to show you have to move really quickly on these coupons and print them out.

MJ April 17, 2009 at 12:26 am

To Sarah – If they carry the “HE” it should, my problem, the drugstores rarely carry it, I mentioned the Meijer deal in my previous comment, which is how I used the coupons

Jennifer B April 17, 2009 at 11:12 am

I ended up getting 10 bottles. I learned today witht he limit of four, being buy2get2 per transaction. The CVS lady told me I could open up another card so I did. I have one coupon and decided to try it on the last transaction and it worked! I did have to pay tax on all of them.
