This week is shaping up to be quite the week of bargains at Walgreens, isn't it? If the ones I've posted earlier weren't enough, here are some more including free chocolate!

POSSIBLE MONEY-MAKER–Dove Soap:
Buy 8 Dove Single Bars Soaps for $1.59 each and use
the $0.99 in-ad coupon (should take off $0.60 per bar of soap). Pay
$7.92 plus tax out of pocket and you'll get a $10 Register Reward back. (Thanks, Hip 2 Save!) (Note: This coupon says a limit of 3. Usually, the register will automatically take off for all items purchased, but if that is not the case for you, this is still a pretty good deal as it's 8 bars of soap for under $1 total!)
FREE–Starbucks Chocolate:
Lacey lives in Texas and she wrote and said she found Starbucks chocolates at Walgreens on sale for $4 each. She used the March EasySaver $6/2 coupon stacked with 2 $1/1 coupons (I found these on a tearpad at my local Kroger store) to get free chocolate! Some of the boxes have $1/1 coupons in them so you could potentially roll this deal multiple times.
If you don't have the $1/1 coupons, these will be $1/box and you might be able to score more coupons inside the boxes you purchase to go back and get more free chocolate!

I tried the Dove soap deal today and the manager said that it was a limit of 3 with the .99 coupon, so I elected to drop it. Has anyone else had this experience? I was thinking about trying another store.

Money Saving Mom here: I’d just ask them to run the coupon and see how much it takes off. They can’t turn you down from buying the soap after all.
Got the Dove deal, but oooo, chocolate sounds good too!
Thanks!!
For the Starbucks chocolates deal, where did the $1 off coupon come from? I love your blog…thanks for all the great deals!!
I went into my local Wags today and found the Sambucol (which is already a $1 money maker) on sale for $11 instead of the listed $12.99. Soooo…it ended up being a $3 money maker (using the $10 ESC and $4 printable). This was not the case in a different store I visited on Sunday, so YMMV per store…but I will be going back before the week is out. I am in Orlando.
The coupon is a limit of 3, but still a good deal. Buy 8 @ $1.59 = $12.72. Use the $0.99 in-ad coup and it takes of 3 bars worth @ $0.60 ea, total of $1.80 taken off with coupon, giving total cost of $10.92, get ur $10 catalina. That’s only $0.92 OOP for 8 bars of Dove soap (love it)! Not bad!
I found some 1$ coupon blinkies in the CVS store in the diabetic section of all places. I took several to save the diabetics from themselves LOL! I took those over to the Walgreens and did the deal last month, but they were 1$ or 50c a box…free is much better!!!!
Also, my Walgreens had a blinkie above the chocolates for a little while, but it is all exhausted. I guess it is back to the diabetic section in CVS for me
I was wondering the same thing as Stephanie was. Where did the $1 coupon come from? Thanks! I have never had this chocolate but since it is SB it MUST be really good!

Money Saving Mom here: I found mine on a tear-pad at our local Kroger store.
Oh & I did the Dove deal & it worked just fine. I was so glad because were in need of soap soon!
Sadly they “can” refuse to sell you the soap.
I went in yesterday and not only would the manager not budge on the limit 3 on the coupon he wouldn’t even allow me to buy 8 WITHOUT the coupon. Said he needed to keep them on the shelf to be available for other customers.
I was just a little more than annoyed. Though I kept my calm in the store and politely paid for my other items and left the soap behind.

Money Saving Mom here: I would most definitely call Walgreens corporate concerning this. Sorry you had a difficult experience.
I got the Dove soap with no problem!!!:)
I’ve actually never had a good experience with Walgreens accepting my coupons or giving me the sale prices. It’s pretty frustrating, but I’m in awe of the people that can make it work.
How do you find out about the register rewards if they’re not posted anywhere. I asked the cashier about the Dove soaps and she had no way of knowing whether they qualified for register rewards or not. I tried to get the Colgate toothpaste for $3.50 with a $3.50 register reward and nothing printed. Also the manager wouldn’t let me combine the $4 Sambucol manufacturer’s coupon with the $10 wags coupon.
I think I’ll stick to CVS, but thanks for posting all the great deals!
I actually was turned down from buying too much soap. They would not let me purchase more than 3 at a time, saying the limit was to keep the store shelves stocked for the rest of the week. May try again at another store.
I was able to get the Dove soap deal without a hitch. The computer automatically took off for 8 bars…the cashier never even blinked.
Maybe I’m just blind, but I cannot find the Dove soap in-store coupon. Is it just in the regular store ad? Could it not be in the ad in my area?
I’ve also wondered about the Register Rewards…how do you know what qualifies for RR that week?
Wish that could’ve been me! Yum… love Starbucks & chocolate…
I just wanted to leave a happy note about Walgreens deals. I’ve had some not so good experiences with cashiers at Walgreens, and even though I was only trying to stack manufacturer’s coupons with store coupons etc, it made me feel like some kind of criminal. BUT there’s a new person working the cosmetics counter and she makes an extra effort to help me (and other patrons)! She sets up special displays when there are good deals on items, and when I went in a couple of weeks ago to buy the Garnier Wonder Waves conditioner, I didn’t have the coupon (I don’t get the paper, I only have access to printables), she had her own copy that she scanned for me! So, for anyone who is discouraged, I say keep trying, be polite, buy what you’ll use, and hopefully you’ll have a helpful employee on your side soon!
If you got the short flyer (8 pages), neither the Dove RR deal nor the clip coupon are in there.
For people that have access to the military commissaries, they have Starbucks chocolate bars there for under $1.
I always grab a few of the coupons when I can find them and turn them into little delicious moneymakers at the commissary!
I am in the NYC area… and apparently Walgreens is using a completely differently weekly ad… I have 4 pages.. with NO 99c. DOVE coupon.
The Walgreens Dove deal worked fine for me at two stores- no problem! Thanks for the great tip!
This was my first attempt at a Walgreen’s deal, and it was perfect! The coupon gave me all 8 bars for $.99, so I paid $8.40 out of pocket and got $10 back – not bad for a first purchase!! I’m so excited! Thanks so much for letting us know about this deal.
I can’t seem to find this answer anywhere. If I buy two of the same RR item on the same transaction, will two RRs print? What about two different RR items on one transaction?
Thanks for the help!
Another Wags deal I got today: sunsilk hairspray was clearanced to $1 and I used the $2/2 to get 8 bottles FREE!
Now I just need to go back for some soap & chocolate!!
Thanks, Crystal!!
I was just going to comment, you can go to the Wags website and print off the .99 Dove coupon.
We previously got blinkies at our store and used them for $1/box on Starbuck’s candy. A week ago my husband was in Dallas and he ran an errand at Walgreens. He found blinkies again. He grabbed like 8 of them. We found this deal yesterday at our store. He kept checking them each trip for a deal. He was like a little kid. It was funny! We used the 8 yesterday. He started opening them up and found the $1 coupon in the top of the boxes. He only found coupons in boxes of Vanilla Bean (Exp. of Oct) & Caramel Macch (Exp. Nov.) So, he kept checking them out, getting the coupons out, and getting more. It was like a game for him. He went to Dallas today. He stopped at about (5) different Walgreens they all had different sale prices, but NO blinkies left. Most of the shelves were cleared out. I guess people in Dallas figured this out. Now, you do run the risk of buying one for $1 (not a bad price) and not having a coupon inside the top. I wish you all could all get chocolate. If you were near me, I would share.
Erin, where did you get the Sambuccol $4 printable coupon???
I got the Dove soap today!! I bought the only 8 bars left on the shelf (sheepish grin) and had a nice cashier! I’m also loving the free-after-RR toothpaste. There is TONS of it at every store near me, and it’s on sale for 3.29 but still printing the 3.50 RR.
Like Katie said, if you’re having trouble with rude cashiers, try checking out at the cosmetics counter, ESPECIALLY if you have something from that department. I believe they are paid a little bit of a bonus or commission when they ring up customers who buy cosmetics. I’ve noticed this makes them much nicer to customers than the average WG cashier.
My ad does have the .99 cent coupon for the Dove, however I do not see where it shows to buy 8 and get the $10 RR. This looks like a great deal on my favorite soap, so I would love to do it, but I’m just a little worried. Then again, I will be surprised if there are actually 8 of them in stock! Thanks!
Hello,
The online Wags flyer (the one I look at) does not mention Dove RR – how can I be sure?
I noticed a lot of unanswered questions. Let me help where I can. If you use a RR from a deal to try and buy the same item it will not print a second RR. If you use a RR from a different deal it will. If you do two different RR deals you will get 2 RR. If you buy 2 of the same item it will only print 1 RR.
Now for those of you who can get Ovg at Wags tell us how you do it. I was happy to see someone else who hasn’t had luck ie. Sambucol deal. What do you do? man Q first then wags q?
I bought one Sambucol and combined the $10 ES with $4 printable with no problem. Opened the box and there is $3 coupon in the box that expires 10/09. So I will go back and do it again. Sambucol was priced at 12.99. Both ways equal…free!!
Starbucks chocolates in Michigan are 2 for $10. So $1 a box with the coupons for us.
I now have 24 bars of Dove soap and $30 in register rewards. I spent $25.20 for all of that. Thanks for the heads up; great deal! Oh, and I tried the deal at 2 different Walgreens, and each time, it took the coupon for all 8 soaps. The saleslady at one said, “This has a limit of 3 at that price, you know.” I said, “That’s ok.” Then, she said, “But, you have 8 soaps here.” I said, “It’s ok, really.” Then, the cash register rang it up at .99 each for all 8 bars. Another cashier was talking to me all about Dove and using that Dove symbol to make cookies for her son’s baptism, and got to asking me if I really like Dove bars. I said, “I don’t really know, just buy what’s on sale.” Then, she said, “Yes, that is a good deal.” When the $10 coupon spit out of the machine though, her jaw dropped, and she said, “How’d you do that? That’s awesome!!” LOL Thanks for the fun deal! We were just starting to run low on soap, not anymore!
At Walgreens, If your store will allow overage, you must give the manufacture coupon first. Then you can give the store coupon. Please be sure to have somthing to cover the overage, they will not give you money back! Some stores will not even realize that you got overage on an item.
http://www.momsbyheart.net/2009/03/free-body-wash-at-walgreens.html …this link should work. If ya’ll will go there and then click on the “this” corporate letter, you will see a letter from corporate you can print out and take to Walgreens. I do like shopping at Walgreens, but I do get tired of the couple of grumpy cashiers that do not know what their job is and argue anyways. If that link doesn’t work, someone e-mail me lowry517@aol.com. I am so glad she posted this. It is going with me!!!! : )
I did the Walgreen’s soap deal today. It worked for me. I bought 8 bars and the coupon let me get all 8 at .99. Then the register spit out the $10 RR. Thanks for the info!!!!
Please HELP!! Walgreens told me they don’t print RR when you use a coupon, so I bought all the Dove stuff and got nothing! Has anyone heard of this?
*********************
Money Saving Mom here: They will often tell you this when they don’t know why the RR’s didn’t print. Usually, it’s that their machine is not working correctly. I just ask them to re-ring the items and usually the RR’s will print the second time.
They often advertise deals in their fliers encouraging you to use coupons in conjunction with RR deals so what you were told was incorrect.
How do you get them to re-ring after you already paid? Do you return the items and then re-ring?
I tried to use the $6/2 ES book coupon on the Starbucks bar you show in the post but the register didn’t take it. It was 3 oz. and I think it has to be 3.2 oz.
Today was my very first day trying any of the Walgreens deals. I went to 2 different stores but all were out of the soap. I was only able to get the toothpaste. I’m going to try earlier in the week as the shelves were empty by today (Saturday).
